    Nice musicianship, nice sounding instrument. This video shows no expansion on the C string. The range covered here is available on the mandolin as well so why not play something that highlights the lower range?

      You're right, we'll consider it for our next videos. The Mandola do offer a longer sustain and favors the lower tones especially with the Cedar top.

      The standard tuning of the Mandola is CGDA like a Viola (a fifth lower than a mandolin)
