Thank Ian, very informative. I'm now having to reconsider a planned upgrade from my Mini 2 (which has over 100 flying hours logged) to Mini 4 Pro and instead think of upgrading my Air 2S to the Air 3S!
Act II for the Air 3 S. Beautiful countryside in which to illustrate these drone features. This play, no matter how many acts, will be a history play. No tragedy allowed. Looking forward to the next act. Cheers, my friend.
Fab! Can you point to a resource that simply summaries what someone like me would need to know and do, when upgrading from a Mini4Pro to the Air3s? New regs, exam requirements etc? Thank you 🙏
I didn’t catch it in the video if you already said it, but do you plan to do any videos about the new panorama features? It looks so good! I have an air 2s and I was going to possibly get an air 3s
As I said on the other video, my batteries are still charging. Note to self, get a 60w charger. Anyway, looking forward to flying my 3S, when the rain stops. Fabulous gear, worth every penny. Great video Ian!!!
Nicely balanced first impression. If I'd that sort of lettuce to blow on a drone I guess that might be the one... :). But not this week! Looking like midrange drones are nudging the Mavic series to - where exactly? They take voice commands? Only a matter of time till some basic AI appears in these things - indeed maybe that's what guided it while you were hiding - there was a marked lack of pausing with think time. Impressive, very much so. Have fun up in the lakes!
Great video as always Ian. I have a question and I think I know the answer to this, but I wanted to find out from you. As you have the DJI Air 3s. Does the Air 3s support DJI AirSense and the ADS-B to let you know if manned aircraft are nearby?
My drone rules 2024 video covers it, but basically as it's over 250gms, and assuming you don't have the UK A2CofC qualification, you have to be 150 metres from any built up area and 50 m from involved people.
Is the RC2 controller exactly the same as the Air 3 one especially relating to Ocusync version? In another video it claimed the new batteries have a higher capacity and are needed for low power file transfer? Still no real shutter on the camera unlike the old Phantom 4 models 😊
@Ian Did you get a chance to see if the signal strength is any better in CE mode in the UK. I currently fly the air2s and well the signal is garbage unless changed.
Hia Ian, you may have mentioned this but I may have missed it, can I use the batteries and charger from my Air 3 on this drone oh and my controller the one with the screen ive got. Thanks, Kev.
It looks great Ian I would buy one but air law for drones needs to change first. Modern drone have lots of features and dont hit things but you have to keep them in line of site and be able to visually see there orientation. Which means you have to chase after them as they fly. It would be a much better addition to have a plane detector which lowers you altitude if it detects a aircraft of other drone than to have night flying capacity. In reality if you are flying below 400ft you shouldn't need it but tell the CAA that.
What! Only 2 hours flying with the fly more kit! Dam thats a lot longer than my 35 mins with my Neo fly more! Stop attacking my Neo! Its only able to be heard at 800m distance 😅
As it's heavier than 250 grams, the rules state you need to be more than 150 metres from any residential / built up area and 50 metres from uninvolved people. You're better off with a Mini 4 Pro.
beautiful backyard

finally someone show the spec and the drone right c1 label and rc track coming,lidar...very detailed presentation ,thanks!
Great review, wish I'd waited before I bought the Air 3 but still love it.
Another brilliant informative video Ian. Well done and thank you. Enjoy the lake district and I look forward to more videos from the Air 3 S!!!!!!
Thanks for the good words 🤠👍🏻

Alas, for I have more sonnets, stanzas and acts to perform than I know where to put them...... :)
Hi ian does the air 3 batteries fit the new air 3s?
@@slhk5848 Yes!
Great review Ian thanks again. It looks a great drone i'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it. Keep the videos comming 👍👍
Thanks, will do!

Great video Ian!!!
Check out this charger; Will fast charge in around an hour amzn.to/4eX8L88
my best drone reviewer thanks finally
Cheers 🤠👍🏻
Fantastic review Ian. Thanks. Looking forward to your field review of the Air3S. 👍🏻
It's up!
Hi Ian fantastic new drone review can we make my air3 faster in sport mode close to 60 mph ???
A brilliant exposé of this new drone
How are you getting on with the Air3s Ian? Managed to convince the missus. Mine arrives tomorrow 😊
It's brilliant; my main drone when not in towns :)

Now that is a great bit of kit buddy You mentioned Neo prop lodness in video.... thinking of neo, is it a good drone to learn FPV flying?
Hey Rich; yes, Neo or Avata 2 are both great starters for FPV: watch this one..... ruclips.net/video/pYOruNDhRQ8/видео.html
Looking fwd to your Lakes trip Ian (rain permitting!)
It's out now! 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video as always Ian.
I have a question and I think I know the answer to this, but I wanted to find out from you.
As you have the DJI Air 3s. Does the Air 3s support DJI AirSense and the ADS-B to let you know if manned aircraft are nearby?
Yes. I had to activate it during setup. 👍🏻👍🏻
@@IaninLondon Cheers Ian, I always knew you'd know haha 😉👍🏼
I wonder if the 50MP are native or by using the QBF Technology? The Air 2S had 20MP native. Thanks for the excellent video
I've asked DJI on this 👍🏻
DJI have just confirmed to me that it is genuine 50 MP sensor, not using a Quad Bayer...
@IaninLondon Thanks Ian for following up! 😊 I've also asked too.
Thanks for this! Do you have a video explaining what the UK rules are for a drone of this weight?
My drone rules 2024 video covers it, but basically as it's over 250gms, and assuming you don't have the UK A2CofC qualification, you have to be 150 metres from any built up area and 50 m from involved people.
@@IaninLondon thanks! And what if you do have A2CofC?
Then you can fly within congested and residential areas but must keep 50m from people and buildings
Nice review and very pretty where you are.

I only flew in CE mode and it was rock solid the whole time....
Hia Ian, you may have mentioned this but I may have missed it, can I use the batteries and charger from my Air 3 on this drone oh and my controller the one with the screen ive got. Thanks, Kev.
Yes. Original 3 batteries work fine, and the RC2 remote with built in screen will work perfectly.
@@IaninLondon Thank you very much .
They really put LIDAR!
Yeah; check out the video just uploaded a few minutes ago....

Remember the CAA feel the need to regulate airspace below the tree tops in your garden... Their over-regulation of low altitude skies is bonkers
So i have the mini 4 pro with the RC 2, which means I'll have the exact same RC for two separate drones? Can i link A3S to the existing RC?
Yes! Fire up the old RC2, switch on the air3s, then long press the power button on both to get them in pairing mode.
Watch this. Same method. ruclips.net/video/mplUVeU4QYY/видео.html
@@IaninLondon Thanks, now to find an A3S sold without the RC🤔😖
What! Only 2 hours flying with the fly more kit! Dam thats a lot longer than my 35 mins with my Neo fly more!
Stop attacking my Neo! Its only able to be heard at 800m distance 😅
My Neo and Air3S play nicely together, don't worry 😅
Can I video weddings with this ? Do I need to register or get a license

I am still struggling to see past the Air2S Camera over this one. 20 over 12 is no comparison.
Bet the Mavic 4 will have Lidar….
Obviously
€€€€🤔🤔🤔
why keep facing the camera? watch the drone ffs....
