- We show you how we go about moving a 40 foot cargo container. It seems as though when you buy a large property you need more storage. We were lucky to have purchased property with a 40' x 8' shipping cube storage container on it. We need to move this conex container to a more convent location. To see how we go about that watch this video.

after seeing the amount of time and money you spent fabricating that and moving that I'll be happy to pay somebody.
lol i dont blame you👍
Yeah but now he can do it for other people or move other things and that is worth its weight in gold
Great video. The only thing I can see that would make it easier is with a chevy lol. Thanks
Lenell is awesome with that hose! What a beauty she is there.
At 9:54, the dog seemed quite relaxed, completely leisure, not realizing what's happening around.
yea she is a trooper, not scared of much lol
I love the dolly idea! very cool
thanks ! my frugality forces me to be creative lol
Moved the can and leveled your driveway at the same time. Nice
8:30 That must have been a great moment when you knew for sure this was going to work! tHanks for the video
yes, for sure! It makes me feel like MacGyver lol, thanks for watching
!
Any fun projects coming up? Have a nice weekend! @@WorknDirt
Amazing work 🙏🏼
thanks! and thanks for watchin👍
AWESOME WORK
thanks man!
The video didnt do justice to the magnitude of that move. You made it look easy.
thanks for watching! yes u r right! those dang things are heavy!!! the only easier way i've seen people move them is with bigger tractors dragging them !
Good stuff. I weld but don’t have the metal to make these nice dollies and sleds. My container is smaller so I’ll have to go the light rolling method.
sometimes you can find some good deals on metal on craigslist or facebook marketplace but good luck either way. be careful when rolling though cause the weight can be deceiving 👍 thanks for watchin!
Wow. great job. I need to move four containers that are not empty.
Thanks. I wish i had more time to fabricate more to sell, because i would make a dually for the extra weight. Thanks for watchin and good luck!
I move containers for a living and I have the same step up for the back of the tow truck. Great idea. I just pick it up with the wheel lift so I don't need the skids.
nice ! i curious of all the methods and devices people use. is your wheel lift motorized? how much do they cost
@@WorknDirt I could show you a picture. But I'm not sure how to on here.
Where are you?? I need a container moved on my property
@@Deuce_Allan Washington
it even levels the driveway too!
lol yeup , everyone needs one to drag around!
Title should say and a tractor and a custom dual axle trailer
We are looking to do this but wanted to see if it was possible to do it ourselves. Thank you for sharing
No problem, I hope I gave you a good idea. FYI you can also rent a big front loader tractor or backhoe which will have the strength to drag it wherever you want. thanks for watching
How did your move go?
Seems like a steel pipe would have been easier than the dolly. When I had my swim spa delivery they rolled it into place with some pvc pipes.
you would have an have several steel pipes to continue placing them under as it rolls over. and the sled allowed a little resistance as it rolls down hill.. thanks for watching
Hello. I just watched a bunch of your videos about your 40 acre buy. Pretty cool 👍. I’m considering buying just about the same amount of acres. Mainly wanting them for hunting/fishing etc. From your experience would u say 40 acres is enough? Too much? Too little? ...also not sure if you’re uploading your videos to Facebook but I highly recommend it. I get paid through both but Facebook seems to pay better and seem to grow faster. Hope this helps. Take care 👍
Hey thanks for the video advice , we didn’t know FB pays! We’ll look into it. I’m not an avid hunter but I would assume 40 acres is the bare minimum to hunt land animals. My neighbor has 80 acres and it seems more plentiful. But if you have a river or pond you would be set with 40 acres. I don’t know hunting laws but I’m guessing if you cultivate your land to be attractive to animals then 40 acres should be enough.Do you know the rules? How much can you feed them or the track them? Thanks for watching!
@@WorknDirt no problem. Yeah Facebook starting paying in 2019. Some people don’t know. It’s a pretty open platform. I’ve taken some of my RUclips videos, download them and just re uploaded them to Facebook. It’s been well worth it. I still post on here too. Thanks for the advice on the land. Yea I know about some hunting laws but there’s always grey areas and loop holes. God bless you guys, hope your home turns out just the way u guys want 👍
@@WorknDirt hey could you p. M. Me so I can forward that pic to you please
@@WorknDirt why did not use a gooseneck?
Hi I really enjoyed your video, I was curious what kind of dog do you have ? She is so beautiful. I had a dog who looked alot like her I'll attach a pic . Thanks
hi that was my sister's dog which was a husky mixed with a pointer. she is smart and fast !!! she loves to sniff out gophers and squirrels!
What's the story on the solid-tire dolly? Is there another video? Where did it come from? Thanks!
those dolly wheel sets are used on a tow system for cars. the put one on each side of the car and there are metal crossmembers that span the width of the car and support it. then i filled them with a solid rubber mix from a company that does that specifically. they also make wheels thay can hook into the corner of the container but they were a little more expensive , thanks for watchin!
@@WorknDirt Thanks - what is the info on the tire filler company?
@@WorknDirt we need the company name please
What brand and model straw hat is that you are wearing? thanks
resistol hat no sure the model though
What kind of Jack is that?
a farm jack, you can buy them from harbor freight or "hi-lift" company
Do you think you could have moved it with your tractor?
no i would need a tractor twice the size unfortunately
@@WorknDirt I have a mahindra 5145, Im going to attempt to move a 20ft I picked up a few months ago with
@@beastofhumble cool! thats a good size, i would put some short chains on the back of your tractor to take the weight off the front of the container and then see if you can slip something under the back feet on the container so they dont act as brakes lol.
Your tractor might be strong enough just to drag it on all four though. Low and slow!
