Well, I would install Ubuntu 22.04->Nvidia Propitiatory Drivers -> Steam -> Configure it to use Proton -> Install Lutris (optional, but needed for Epic Games Launcher, EA Desktop, Ubisoft Connect, GoG etc).
jump into terminal and run this command sudo pacman -S xpad then reboot, it adds xinput for general controller compatibility , even fixed my 8bitdo pro ultimate hall effect
Lord, talk about a hit piece. Steam OS 3.x is completely different and has not been officially released for PC. The image you want is HoloISO and/or ChimeraOS. Hint, Nvidia is a horrible company to support and you should get an AMD GPU. What a waste of time.
no matter the version of linux i found drivers or software for everything i need except rgb there are weird issues with games installed on external drives and each os different security blocking mounting at start...............AEQWIBKJVGALSE FN Bg@nh eaP

I tried to install it for months and then gave up. It never worked for me.

Yes I don't know why it is so hard to run SteamOS on PC... I had problems for 10 years using steam OS....
anoter thing to do is rollback the nvidia driver, the new one is KNOWN to cause issues in steamos
Can you tell me chimeraos version you used please
Because in mine nvidia pc it didn't show any setup screen after installation
I wonder if CS GO is thinking you are using the Steam Deck. Could you try using SteamDeck=0 %command% as a launch parameter for the game?

I attempted to use both HoloISO and Chimera in this video and only one of them worked for me. Just a project for fun. 😊
