You sir, are a Wizard. 🙏 We should all bow down when you walk by. Thank you.
Haha, no need to do that, but if you need any lights, we'd love to help you at www.learnstagelightinggear.com ! :)
David … man I’ve been watching you for a couple of years now and I really appreciate what you do for the community. I saw the NX1 release and hopped all over it. While it took a while to get into our theater (global shortages of … everything), it was well worth the wait and I’m pleased to have your thumbs up on this console as well. She is rugged and well built … executing flawlessly. Coming from a nx-DMX with a pc … it’s like I went from one finger (mouse) to full 10 finger control. I wasn’t sure how quick the learning curve would be, but found after about 20 minutes I had full confidence. And ready to place in a show. No regrets. This thing should be flying off the shelves. Thanks again for everything you do.
its flying! thanks for your feedback and getting into the NX1. this is exactly what we designed it for. Share some pictures on our FB group!
Great video and i love the new studio setup with those led bars looking really good keep up the great work
Thanks!
NX2 is fantastic as well, very easy to use
I love the NX2 bit of a learning curve coming from ETC but I’ve been really happy and amazed with its capabilities.
Great video! Thanks mate :)
I think you may have missed one important point about the "Quick view" button. It is so useful with the parameter value just on top of encoders + the possibility to customize the view to have tons of quick things visible/accessible (I've set this view to display extended parameter + F Keys to avoid using long press on FUNC button).
There's a whole video coming dedicated to just that :)
Yep … quick view was a welcomed surprise. Super helpful.
Was not expecting that price wow
How many lights can I control with that panel I will be using it for my staging show so we're pirate themes and action stuff like that spotlight coloring everything I'm on the pirate ships on the stage
Can this panel control up to 50 lights or how many lights can you control it how many lights can you control or what brand is good for using when I need for a budget-friendly good price that you recommend. Very affordable
If connected to a computer, can it use beyond the 8 universes (e.g Onyx on pc with a 64 universe key) or are you stuck with just 8?
Would you be willing to test how fun it is to use NX-Touch + NX P + NX K on PC? This is what I'm aiming for right now (just missing the NX P)
Loads of fun!
Me gustaria tener una. Esta muy bien su tamaño para llebarlo en una mochila. Sin necesidad de una PC adicional. Me parese que en muy versatil. Me gustaria saber el precio para latinoamerica.
Can you run Dylos through the NX1? I’m new to Onyx thinking of switching from chamsys and Dylos is a large part of my consideration. Thank you
Yes, all day long!
Okay I'm really interested.
Awesome! Shoot us an email at gear@learnstagelighting.com with more info on your club, and we can help find the best solution for you. We do have more NX1's on order, as well as the rest of the ONYX hardware.
Looks great!
How is it with profiles???
Can the NX1 accept midi commands?
Yes
What is that touch screen mount and does it fold flat on the screen?
There is an internal touch screen on the NX1 which is flat all the time. I put a external touch screen on at the end of this video, which is just a regular Dell P2418HT with the stand it comes with. The stand does go flat backwards, which is nice
@@LearnStageLighting yeah I have the same screen I use with my Avolite T1 setup but it didn’t come with one like that. Was just curious because I was looking for one that folds down like that and stays on the screen in my gator carry bag. Thanks for your reply.
mq50 , 8 universes , full programming section, full playbacksection , 3750e +vat .....
Can it be triggered via midi?
Yes
No tiene audio no se escucha
$4k? Ouch!
Hi, what are you comparing this to?
Good point! I'm definitely not the target audience for this.
If you are looking for something less expensive, I highly recommend the NX-Touch. The touch strips mimic motorized faders and still runs the full onyx software on your PC. Not sure if it gets the same channel count license as the NX1, but if you need more, you can always get a larger license. I've always been very impressed with all of the Obsidian products, especially with how much bang for your buck you get.
If only I had $6000 that’s what this nx1 sells for in Canada
