I remember this duo as child, my mom used play their album all the time.....WOW....listening in 2014....
man this bring back memories! i honestly forgotten about it but as soon i hit play it brought me back. i loved this song and video. the beat is the same as "girl i have my eyes on you" by today which was also hit! and man isn't Mystic beutiful! WOW! and Curtis Jones voice is amazing which reminds me of Kashif's. outstanding!
I alwaysthought this song sounded to similar to "Something in Common" by Bobby and Whitney. Same producer, Teddy Riley. Both are the cuts :)
my best girlfriend and i recall watching this beautiful woman (Mysti Day,formely of deja) performing in h-town. awed by her powerful voice, raw energy, great showmanship, grace and absolute beauty. we were drawn to her almost nightly; sitting in awe as she lit up the night and tore up the stage. how wonderful to see and hear her again. can't wait for future works.

I have this CD and this has to be the most underrated album ever to come out. Every track is slammin on it.
This song reminds me of "Never Knew Love Like This" by Alexander O'Neal and Cherrelle.

You can find the CD or vinyl on Ebay sometimes. Also you can go to Amazon and there are some copies lying around there.

Where's Starleena Young?
She'd left for a solo career, as did her husband, JT Taylor of Kool & the Gang. Neither hit it big solo. Reminiscent of Mary Davis leaving the SOS Band, Tawatha Agee after Mtume, Janice-Marie Johnson after A Taste of Honey...label shakeups, the guy in your corner is gone, and so is your support.
I don't remember this song, what year did it come out? I do like it though. It is from the 90's era.
The album was out in 1989, but the single was late 1988. I believe it was Teddy Riley's first production after the first Guy album, and even though it wasn't a massive hit he really established the definitive New Jack Swing sound here, as everyone copied it heavily soon after.
