With a GDP of just a little over 8 billion, and a population of about 12 million, I don't think Rwanda is particularly an African success story. It's just romanticized as such, since it's one of the least populated countries in Africa with just a little better infrastructure and a little bit cleaner because littering is enforced (big deal).
Every western country has a bad history. Look at their history of colonialism, slavery and genocide all over the world. Don’t let them hold one event over your head to hold you back
Well not every western country, but a lot of them have done terrible things, that we must not deny. But still in defense of them, if Europeans weren't there someone else would have conquered the world. If history would have went little differently the Ming dynasty Chinese could've started expanding outwards with a larger fleet than any European country had at the time.
As an Algerian 🇩🇿 , i'm so so fascinated by the great development and prosperity happening in Rwanda thanks to the futuristic vision of its leader and Rwandans too Hope to visit this beautiful country one day Bravo !Keep it up guys

MoMarvelous Salah Somalia's problem isn't just a clan but the country has tons of resources such as oil, and we have the largest sea port/ costal areas in Africa. The Europeans and Americans don't want Somalia to have government because of the resources we have and plus we are all Muslims and speak one language. There are other factors why Somalia can't have government. They all want to steal our resources.
the problem is employment. If a place has no work, the people will become violent. If there is work then the people will live to care about the future and family planning. We somalis preach STOP THE VIOLENCE STOP TRIBALISM and take little action in contributing in the business and services sector. We happily do that in foreign countries but not in ours. If there was work you think the people will give a shit about clans? There is brain drain going on in the country as most educated people are going to other countries. You will see someone with a phd in somalia serving food at a restaurant no wonder they do illegal immigration. Anyway to end this violence we need to make money for the country to do that we need to invest in the iron mining sector to produce steel, copper and gold. We also need to take advantage of the south and produce more food. How do you help a nation? Through providing labor not preaching end the violence otherwise you will have people living to go to paradise after death and not care about the current life.
MoMarvelous Salah I know my country than you do and I currently live in Somalia Mogadishu. I know the reality. It is not just clan and warlords but the picture is bigger than that and you won't understand it. The clan and the warlords are just 5% of the problem. Why did they kill Gadadfi and Sadam? You need to find out the truth behind 30 years of no government in Somalia. I can't explain it to you in writings.
Lukaku's First Touch what you don't understand is no certain Somali clan lives in specific area. for example a city like Mogadishu or kismayu there are many different clans who live there. Of course clan issues are a problem for Somalia but I don't think dividing Somalia on the basis of clan is a good idea. Somalia needs one party rule for at least 10 years to eliminate warlords, extremists, and traitors.

My Aunt and Cousin just moved to Kigali (the Capital City) last week. What started out as a vacation, ended up being a life transition and they have NOTHING bad to say about the move. I can't wait to visit!!!
Wonderful video. I'm really happy and impressed that Kigali has become what it is today. A great example for other African nations to follow , actually all countries across the globe. Well done to the people and government of Rwanda.
If the government sponsored a Rwandan airline and provided super cheap flights from western destinations, and advertised tourism a ton in western countries, they could potentially attract a lot of tourists and continue to develop a great reputation.... just a thought!
This is beautiful, an African city that's seen the light and investing in cleaning up its streets and attracting people from all over the world. I wish more African countries would say no to corruption and realize their potential.
African people are truly the world's most hospitable people. People from different parts of the world can live, work, and invest no problem. Bless the African people and hope that their countries and the continent will become a model of the 21st century. It is rich with so many natural resources where it can be a super power in it's own continent.
Movie Jose No African country needs handouts from Europe 😂 they are the ones who've been stealing billions from us for centuries. Africa has most of the wealth & natural resources in the world. Our land is so rich & the resources are never ending. A blessed continent. Who are you kidding? Europe & the west couldn't function one day without the resources of Africa & middle East.
Movie Jose Lol those aren’t handouts those are called paying back for the resources you stole. You wouldn’t even be able to write that bullshit on your computer/mobile phone if not for Africa and it’s resources.
I hope no one mess with your progress. Don't listen arab, american, and european, Just be strong and happy, be yourself, dont hear them, hear you own story. My little country use to be like yours now we are going into a civil war, with USA triying to "help us" we fail to ourself.😔😔😔
It really surpirsed me how fast Rwanda went on... I remember when I was in 5th grade I read some holocaust stories from Rwanda and I felt so bad about how many people were murdered. It's Rwanda's pride that it's been recovering and developing so well nowadays.
A ban on plastic bags and regular clean up efforts?! How wonderful!! Everything looks beautiful. I will definitely put it on my list of next travel destinations!
Positive reviews about Rwanda. I'm extremely impressed that finally a predominantly black African country is getting things right. I hope other African countries would borrow a page from Rwanda's book of sustainable development.

And Ghana is already growing to be powerful. I'd love for them to implement these rules, it'd be even greater.
i'm senegalese but ghana is already cleaner than most african countries from what i heard of people who use to travel around africa and the economy is growing for the best
My Aunt and Cousin just moved to Kigali (the Capital City) last week. What started out as a vacation, ended up being a life transition and they have NOTHING bad to say about the move. I can't wait to visit!!!
Rwanda is turning into Wakanda, and I'm not even mad.
As a fellow African I’m so proud of you guys🇸🇴🇸🇴🇸🇴
Wonderful video. I'm really happy and impressed that Kigali has become what it is today. A great example for other African nations to follow , actually all countries across the globe.
Well done to the people and government of Rwanda.
Wow! Impressive for what they have done so far! Would love to visit soon!
but its only the capital that is developing
Impressive what one can do with white peoples money "Rwanda secures EU funds to expand electricity supply - Reuters Africa"
@@divinest wrong!
Movie Jose why do white people always gotta be negative when africa is developing..? your white privilege and white fragility is showing
As an African im proud of this nations achievements.
But your name is Arab.
Looks like a happy safe place, life seems fun and simple and not dominated by religion.
Can’t wait to visit!!
Finally someone is showing the good side of Africa
African people are truly the world's most hospitable people. People from different parts of the world can live, work, and invest no problem. Bless the African people and hope that their countries and the continent will become a model of the 21st century. It is rich with so many natural resources where it can be a super power in it's own continent.
You're right !
Honey, for sure you haven't heard about Colombia.
Take your multicultural BS and shove it up yours. We in the world are sick of paying for these welfare African countries and their citizens.
Well the AfricanS on the streets oF London seem more hostile than hospitable sadly FYI
zztop3000 You act as if world war 1 and 2 wasnt in the last 100 years take a look at yourslef before you judge others.
South Africa could LEARN from beautiful Kigali!!!🌟
Rwanda is an example for African countries on how to succeed.
Will visit one day this beautiful country.
Oh wow Rwanda is catching up! Beautiful and clean city of Kigali!
Africa is hidden gem. I'm currently saving for a trip to Africa, I wanna see the Safari, the cities, the culture, the food.
LOVE RWANDA FROM ETHIOPIA
Africa is changing.
Nope rawanda is still getting handouts from white folks, hundreds of millions of euros from the EU and who knows how much USA is giving them
Movie Jose No African country needs handouts from Europe 😂 they are the ones who've been stealing billions from us for centuries.
This is all the work of Chinese. Do some research. Chinese engineering, Chinese investment. Africans didn't do much.
The wicked building up for the righteous.
Such beautiful people ,beautiful dressing sense
Im proud of Rwanda ! Respect from Hungary !
I hope no one mess with your progress. Don't listen arab, american, and european, Just be strong and happy, be yourself, dont hear them, hear you own story. My little country use to be like yours now we are going into a civil war, with USA triying to "help us" we fail to ourself.😔😔😔
dont bring chinese to ur country
It really surpirsed me how fast Rwanda went on... I remember when I was in 5th grade I read some holocaust stories from Rwanda and I felt so bad about how many people were murdered. It's Rwanda's pride that it's been recovering and developing so well nowadays.
A ban on plastic bags and regular clean up efforts?! How wonderful!! Everything looks beautiful. I will definitely put it on my list of next travel destinations!
I’m from South Africa and seeing this makes me so proud , mad love to y’all ❤️
I am from Bangladesh 🇧🇩. I wish to visit your beautiful country some day.
Amio Bangladeshi
Positive reviews about Rwanda. I'm extremely impressed that finally a predominantly black African country is getting things right. I hope other African countries would borrow a page from Rwanda's book of sustainable development.
Wow I am impressed. I am African , but this video has been a serious eye opener. Will definitely be putting Kigali in my bucket list of places to visit.
This video made me thinking about visiting Rwanda, I'm curious how you made it so far in 25y with infrastructure and solving problems with local people between each other. Much grettings from Croatia 😎.
I LOVE seeing humanity improving. Hopefully in a couple of decades, economy and culture are not that Western-centric and there are other voices leading progress.
I hope all African nation will be like Rwanda someday.
And really great video, well done! One of the most informative and eye-opening I've seen in ages. Rwanda has definitely made it onto my must-see list!
Bravo Rwanda
In Africa, I’ve only visited South Africa, but I would love to visit Namibia, Kenya and now, Rwanda.
Please never change, you are the mirror of black people, including Us in Latin America.
I am so glad to see this. I've been watching Kigali for some time, and I know they are making amazing improvements. It's definitely on my list of places to visit. Kigali will be the Seoul of Africa.
“Wandering around in a t-shirt and shorts is not going to cut it” - every American tourist silently cries
Wow this is amazing. Much cleaner than my western city
Lukaku's First Touch Quick by real estate in the city for investment before its to late.
hmlnr splqe Nope. It's bureaucracy that did
hmlnr splqe lmao
I respect their efforts but I disagree with your comment for a bit - but pretty much every city in my country is more clean than theirs
@hmlnr splqe ...as a nonwhite immigrant, I must concur. However, the non-immigrant minority neighborhoods are shitholes! Go where poor black Americans, Puerto Ricans & Mexican Americans are...don't hate me, it's the blinking truth!
I’m so happy that East Africa is developing and I can’t wait to go back when I graduate college ❤️
Glad to see some positive advancements in Africa. Rwanda has all the potential needed to become one of Africa's richer nations in the near future. Hopefully they can follow the steps of Botswana and modernize quickly, although they appear to be already there.
Proud of my country
I'm Algerian and I love Rwanda and it's beautiful people !
Next powerhouse of Africa !!
The city looks beautiful like Wakanda Africa is about move to forward and hopefully the social media will show us an amazing and positive things about The best and oldest continent in the world Africa. Africa has raised.

This is really impressive, especially considering what happened to them a few decades ago. Great job to their government and the people.
Amazing. I went to Africa for safari for the first time last year. It was an eye opening experience.
Beautiful place definitely worth it

Thank you Bloomberg News! It is nice to see the positive side in Africa!
Rwanda reminds me of Europe. From a destructive war they have turned to be the leading world countries.
This is all the work of Chinese. Do some research. Chinese engineering, Chinese investment. Africans didn't do much.
