This past week Angelina sang "Unchained Melody" at the Nobel Prize Presentation for Narges Mohammadi. I highly recommend that performance as your next reaction!
Thank you for the wonderful reaction to this song, Samantha. Beautiful the Angelina's choice to finally make some of songs sung in her wonderful Christmas concert 2 years ago accessible to everyone in this EP, I loved them then and I love them even more now. This her unpublished rendition of "Driving home" by Chris Rea, is beautiful, perfect in the musical accompaniment in countervoice from the wonderful sax of Jimmy Z and the wonderful jazzy musical breath that is Angie's voice. I like the imagination, respect and elegance with which she reworks these songs in her personal jazz key accompanied by some of the best musicians around, I can hope for the future, but I certainly love this enchanting musical present of hers. 💛🧡❤

Written by british blues musician Chris Rea in the 1980s is an evergreen. The idea of for this songe came to him during a traffic jam. He was on his way home from a tour. As most of his songs it is a bit autobiographic.

You make perfect sense, Samantha. When she uses her breathy whisper singing like this, she makes you feel like she's sitting on the couch in your cozy living room singing to you. Or for this song, she's sitting in the passenger seat singing while you're driving home for Christmas. Apparently she does a lot of singing in the car as she posts them on her TikTok's. For me, music is about the "feels" & Angelina is the best at producing those that I've ever seen.

I've bought a lot of Angelina's music on iTunes, but always have to use the search bar to find it. I was hoping that her Christmas EP would show up on their main page, this song especially. I sent them a suggestion that it would be a massive hit if only people knew about it. I know that most people are streaming music these days, but I have my own personal copies of her music that I can listen to offline, any time I want, and they are mine to keep.
Great reaction to our Angel. She gets into your soul. Feels like she is giving us a big hug every time she sings.
Back in the 80's this was a huge song for Chris Rea, but not here in the U.S.. Overseas
it was the consummate Christmas song but for whatever reason, it never got the air play
it deserved here. Angelina has resurrected it with 'Breathy', 'whisper-like' elements she
learned from Billie Holiday, while bringing a real 'Jazz' vibe to it. The sax that accompanied
her, as well as the piano, just made it my new #1 favorite Christmas song.
Absolutely beautiful vocals.
You should also listen to her rendition of Unchained melody at the recent Nobel Prize concert in Oslo

Hi Samantha, Happy holidays! It is hard to describe what we feel when she sings a given song. With the saxophone accompanying, if this was not a Christmas song, I would picture her in a small jazz bar with dim lights, drink in hand, and Angelina at the front of the room with a pianist and saxophone player. Just old fashioned soft jazz with the mellow voice. Again this is just the feeling based on the music and voice, and not the lyrics. It reminds me of the way I felt when I heard her original, What is Life. Peace and love.
You make a lot of sense, Samantha! I feel something similar. Angelina's take on the song is so intimate, so homely. It's like she envelops you with a blanket with her voice.

Great reaction. Angelina has a tendency to putting a lot of emotion into each song and making you feel a specific way. If you get a chance I recommend her Unchained Melody rendition of both Portsmouth NH in September and then again at the Nobel Peace Prize this month. But get a box of Kleenex because they are extremely good.
