Thank you Jeffrey.I love the simplicity of that 'assigned finger' 4/4, the pinch-strum 3/4, and the 3/4 which follows your 4/4 pattern but then returns E to C. Simple is good for me, as I ease into finger picking. And you've reminded me, to add Slim Dusty's 'Pub With No Beer' to my little repertoire! I spent a lot of time in the Australian Outback a long, long time ago, and it was Slim's songs that dominated the pub juke boxes.
Excellent, Jeffrey! I just learned a few 4/4 picking patterns today and was wondering how to approach the 3/4 ones. You answered my question. Great stuff!
Thank you Jeffrey! What a delightful person you are to learn from. Very helpful and clear. I'll probably use one of them for Goodnight My Someone on Saturday, in my ukulele group's "14 Days of Love Songs" project that we are in the midsts of (and will be through Sunday, Feb 14th!) I have a private "Patron Group" of ukulele friends who collaborated every day on Zoom 3:15 - 4:15pm California time. Are you playing on Zoom with friends these days?
