Deezer, 100% agree with you on everything!! My journey is similar to yours. UK born and bred and relocated to Jamaica 3 years ago. Absolutely luv it here!!
OMG, I absolutely loved this video-it’s one of the best I’ve watched! I traveled and “lived” in Jamaica for 2 months, and I completely fell in love. I stayed with locals, promoted only Jamaican operated and owned businesses, and focused on supporting small, local spots. I rented Airbnbs and guest houses and truly immersed myself in the culture. I’m Italian and British, and after living in London for 10 years, trust me when I say I completely understand you, sister. The UK feels so miserable these days (especially post-Brexit and Covid), and I’m planning to move out of this place I’ve called home for the past decade. Jamaica healed me. I arrived feeling so depressed, but the warmth of the people and the beauty of the island opened my heart. I’ve been to 50 countries, but Jamaica? Jamaica is just different. If I had a remote job, I’d already be there on the beach, trust me. Unfortunately, my current job isn’t remote, but I plan to quit it soon. I really appreciate what you said about having a plan B-Jamaica is expensive, and I definitely noticed that. I mostly ate food from farms or bought groceries from local supermarkets to keep costs down, but I know a solid plan is key. What do you think about coming to Jamaica with a remote job? I’d absolutely love to chat more if you’re up for it! x
Dee your so right, I've grown up in the US since I was teenager now fifty plus and I've decided to move back next year, everyone is now looking at me like I'm crazy. I told them if they choice to work like slave, be stress just to stay in America that's their problem, I love my peace of mind so I'm moving on.
For Jamaicans born in Jamaica and living there, the SALARY IS A PROBLEM! For those looking to move to Jamaica, ensure your salary will be in USD, CAD or GBP. Once you convert it to JMD, your money will stretch further and u will be able to live in a nice area. DO NOT, and I repeat, do NOT move to Jamaica with the intention of finding a job and living in Jamaica happily ever after because the salary will be much lower than you're used to. Also vacationing in Jamaica and actually living there and dealing with it from day to day is different. However, it does offer peace of mind... but make sure you have money and you live in a safe area.
So what . Kicking out those puppet politicians who are working for foreign interests instead of Jamaicans . How about starting working for Jamaicans to make the salary better and stop the currency from sliding. We cannot throw up white flag and think things will be better. Singapore did it with less that we had, so why can’t we do it. Oh I forgot Singapore is not a predominantly black country. they are not crab in barrel, not falling to the colonists divide and conquer strategy. We need to get it done , no one else will do it for us, and obviously neither the government. These governments were formed before independence by the colonial master to keep us poor, and still dependent on them. They were and still playing chess, while we are not even playing checkers. It is more like we snake and ladder. How could we be independent and still using the parties that our colonial master created. More like the illusion of independence. Our failure is their success. We are helping building their countries by way of brain drain, while at the same time they are exploiting us, as with their all -Inclusive and slave like wages
It's great to hear you share your experiences. So many people want to make the move but succumb to the negative perceptions being put out by the press, content creators and even Travel advisories being issued by other countries. Like you, I left the UK a few years ago and have forged a simple enriching life in Jamaica For me, Jamaica is more than the beaches, reggae and great climate, it is about the culture, nature, the history, the hospitable people and the opportunity to reinvent oneself. Wishing you and Outlaw continued success x
Deeza I'm Jamaican/British and I have been to several countries in Europe and to America. But the peace and freedom I find in Jamaica is nowhere else. People always tell me that I'm at my happiest when I'm in Jamaica. Like I say Deza. Each to his own. Form me Jamaica is freedom and peace. It's my safe place. Dream every day of moving back. God bless Jamaica 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️
As someone born & lived in London all my life until a few years ago moving to JA, your vid is spot on. One of the things I love is the peace of mind of not being stereotyped. No subtle/overt racism. I am an individual not racial mascot. For the most part the people are nice. Once you got a car (the public transport sucks lol but there's InDrive etc), a place to live, income (even better when it's foreign £), send down food/household barrels (the supermarkets are expensive), be diligent with your surroundings & company, you'll be Gucci
It's the weather , the naturalness of the island, the people. There is something therapeutic about just sitting by the ocean and the breeze from the ocean just extract the stresses from your body. It's also the smell of Jamaica. Jamaica has a smell that no other place has. It's a refreshing smell. The minute you step out of the airport that refreshing smell is breath of fresh air. Jamaica is also clean. The food cures you it's so good.
I am planning on moving back, As you said, peace is so important, and the older you get, the more you seek peace and understand the importance of it. People's opinions are based on their own experiences. They can talk about it, but don't force it on others based on their life decisions
Where in the world you are unlikely to find crime, violence, and dam rude and abusive?? Let me know! Yes you are 💯 correct. I am a Jamaican born grew up in London since age 14 now at 75 yrs old living in Florida and I am only 600+ miles from home so I am loving it. Sunshine and Nature is All you need; living in the UK give you Stress, Anxiety and Fear Big up yourself.
I’ve been a faithful silent follower since you started the channel. I just love and appreciate your genuine kind self and honesty in all your videos. Blessings D 💛🤍💛
Hi Deeza, welcome back. I visited other Caribbean countries and Europe ( Spain, France and Italy). I love Barcelona, Spain, but visiting and living in any country is different. I was born in Jamaica and left at age 11. Now I'm grown and took early retirement. I visited Jamaica and do business (banking) in Jamaica. Each time, I'm disappointed. I don't get the feeling of living there. I close out the bank accounts. I am at home in Canada. I will always visit other countries, including Jamaica. This is what works for me. I think everyone will do what's best for them. I wouldn't discourage anyone from doing what they think is best for them. Including my kids.
I so hear you I just returned from a holiday in Malaga which was amazing, the sun ☀️ the food the beach. My mood was up and I felt good. When the plane landed back in the UK the depression began. The UK is not it, I’m so jealous of people who live in tropical countries where we are in the majority, it’s really health for the soul.
I had freedom as a school girl in Jamaica, lived there for 17 years, but as an adult now, I have access to free healthcare in the UK. I have the best of both worlds now I'm happy living in UK knowing I can visit Jamaica anytime. Enjoy beautiful 🇯🇲
Many Jamaicans who migrated years ago still dont accomplished much. The value for the pound might be high but it dont mean a thing in England. The money that ppl a talk about use up in rent and council tax. If you want to get your ILR you have to pay a bag a money...Many ppl not working 3000 pounds good. Tell me what are you actually saving again..We dont have a bunch of bills...and we still able to build our house, drive a nice car and have our insurance. Everything i have a Jamaica give me. I have seen everything for myself...nobody cant tell me anything
Seems to me there is a debate going on about standard of living vs. quality of life. Some people are at a place where they value material things more, others value mental health and well being more. I agree with you that only exposure will help some people to understand that there is a price to migrating and they will have to give up more than they thought they would. Things have changed; as Jamaica grows, the lifestyle gap between living in Jamaica and living abroad is declining, people will only see and acknowledge that after a few years of living abroad.
London doing my head in right now trust, cant wait to leave wont be too long building in good progress and stage will join you very very sooooòn😂 blessings jamaica NICE
Hi Deezer (and Outlaw). I'm new to your channel, and I ran upon you on an interview you did with Throp. I'm glad to see you happy 😊. I took a solo "Birthcation" to Jamaica last month, and I cried when I had to return to the United States (Dallas, Texas), but I plan on making future trips to Jamaica. I stayed in Negril for nearly a week and celebrated my big day in Kingston. Jamaica is what one makes of it and for me, it was therapeutic.
Thanks for sharing your experience, overall thoughts and insight. Personally im uk born and looking to make the move. Your advice is helpful. Wishing you many many more years ahead in JA 💫🌏
❤ I have just returned from a trip to JA, and I know exactly what you mean. The sun, sea, fresh fruits and vegetables and the peace of mind are priceless. ❤
I understand, Peace beyond all understanding.🤗 the new subscribers should go back and watch your vlogs from the beginning. They are quite interesting seeing your journey up to now. Follow your first mind. Jamacia is another day in paradise.🌴🦜😎🌅🌤
It’s not the place, it’s the people you’re with. If you’re go back well off but the rest of your family in Jamaica is poor, that divide will be a big problem and you’ll find yourself no better off socially. Going back as a small group has to be the best option to overcome this. Even if just a friend, it’ll make such a difference.
Don't get wrapped up with family, best to limit your contact while being cordial. It's the same in every developing country, trust me. Speak to Nigerians, Ghanians, Pakistanis, Indians to name a few.People will see you in a different light simply because you've lived abroad. Your experience, success, or otherwise depends on your level of awareness and understanding of your new environment and how you are perceived.
Thank you for sharing your journey. And thank you for your honesty. Please keep updating us on how best to access good rentals and airbnb. So many of us want to make the move. I have a family home in St Thomas, but would love to rent in Ochi one day. You have a beautiful spirit. Keep up tge good work. It is needed 😊
I’m from uk I want to move to Jamaica bc I’m so tired of uk it’s so boring and terrible weather but it’s gonna be me by myself so it’s gonna be hard I’m going to make the big move next year hopefully 🤞🏾 🙏🏾🙏🏾
You are so right in your presentation. Everyone should do what makes them happy. I am from Trinidad but live in the USA, and I am contemplating returning to my country. I tell everyone if you have a good job, there is no need to move to the USA. It's totally different from when my family migrated in the 70s Blessings to you and your family andenjoy your life🎉❤.
Yea sis stuff happens things change & it's ok. U got guts ma' & met yr kingman there. Jamaica is in yr blood & it's gotta B a betta place because U R there👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Iv been watching you since really day one and yes you have discussed this before. I love what you share about your life but still… I watch a lot of Jamaica news and see how sometimes foreigners are targeted. Please nobody come on and tell me they’re not because I’ve seen it with my own family members and non-family members. I realise you have to be careful, but I can’t live like that having to watch my back all the time and even if you’re not watching it I’d still be worried because of what I’ve researched what I’ve watched, sadly, it has put me off ever wanting to live there. I will always visit But as a British black person who came from Jamaican parents with a strong British accent. I would be an easy target. Nothing anybody can tell me will change my mind about that. It is very sad that even dealing with discrimination and unfairness on a daily basis in the UK. that I still feel safer here. where I live in the UK, I can walk the street at 2 o’clock in the morning and know that I’m gonna get home. I don’t feel scared to drive at 4 o’clock in the morning which I’ve done a lot of times and never think anything about it. I do now after watching news in Jamaica. 😢Still I will continue to watch your journey it’s lovely to see how you’re doing. Thank you for showing us that it can be done.😊
Totally agree with you Dee. I wished I could relocate to JA tomorrow. It’s circumstances that’s keeping me in uk. I’m totally at peace when I’m in Jamaica. The culture and freedom and the fresh foods and fruits are priceless to me. I have had many negative comments from some people I share my intentions of emigrating to. So I now keep my ambitions to myself. So proud of you, you know this already. I know you’re busy during the high season, but hoping I can catch up with you guys for a quick lunch one day or an evening dinner after you finish work. Will DM you when I’m on the island. Stay blessed my sister. Speak soon 🙏🏾❤️
I agree with your reasoning Deezer. I would love to move to Jamaica at some point. For the weather, nature and peace. Bad and good every where you go.🙏🏾🇬🇧
Girl, my depression is all the time… it summer now and I should be happy; but nah. We are a family of four and coming back to Jamaica is not currently an option. I have been to Africa; Kenya, and I found peace there … it’s very similar to Jamaica in many ways, but very affordable. I am truly happy for you and wish you continued success.
My husband and I are getting ready to move there. I am Jamaican Citizen my husband is not. I have a remote job. My husband is looking for a remote job.
I want to come back home. I keep planning and just doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen anytime soon. Sometimes you just got to get up and do it. I don’t want to get old before it happens, the good thing is that I live in Florida I can get there quickly 😊
I know the RUclipsr you're talking about. I remember her doing a few live streams where she was cussing about the heat, it was pissing her off and she couldn't get anything done be cause it was making her tired. It made her miss the UK. I like the balance of having JA and UK.
Thank you. My transition is coming along. Still travelling. Semi retired and slowly surly time of transition moving along to leave the West. Recently went to Senegal and it wzs special. I have a 10-year plan, which may seem long to some, but it has gone so quickly. Like you said materials is not me and I live a downside lifestyle. 🎉 Congats to you on your bravery.
So, pleased that you are still enjoying Jamaica, but life is what you make it whoever you are and wherever you are. I live in the Uk and for the past three years I’ve have been a caregiver to my mother in Jamaica. I stay for 6 months of the year, but I always look forward to going back to the UK. I am glad I’ve had the opportunity to experience living here because I now know my home is definitely the UK.
Just back from Jamaica I love Jamaica you’re right in everything you said! I love your positive attitude. I wish you both the best of luck. Look forward to seeing you make more milestones. One love ❤❤❤🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Why all the negativity about the UK 🇬🇧. If it wasn't for the UK many of us wouldn't be able to buy houses and move back home. Love the land of my birth and also the UK for what it's done for me.
?? If you watched any of my other videos, you’d see that I express my gratefulness for being born and educated in the UK as this has afforded me opportunities I may not have had if I was born somewhere else. I can only speak for myself, and I repeat just as I did in the video, EVERYWHERE & EVERY COUNTRY has its problems and issues including Jamaica. Did you hear me mention on the video that my heart bleeds whenever I hear about the things going on in Jamaica with regards to crime & violence? Just the same way I feel down when I’m in the UK. There are pros and cons to living in both Jamaica and the UK, but each to his own and I support everyone. It’s not about being negative towards the UK, but it’s sharing my personal feelings and journey. I hope you can understand that and maybe if you watch some of my other videos (there are over 300 on this channel) you’ll see that I also speak about the positives and negatives of both Jamaica and the UK. Thanks for your comment
@DatMiSehTV my comment wasn't directed at you personally . I watched all post and saw where you said If you had to return to the UK it wouldn't be a problem because you were born here. My comment was directed at all negative comments from the UK.
I have nothing to be grateful for when it comes to the UK, my ancestors were forced to work with their blood and tears to enrich the UK. The UK owes me big time!! Also, what’s sickening is that up until recently the ancestors of those enslaved STILL had to pay back the compensation due to the SLAVE MASTERS by means of tax, how sickening. Jamaica would be a wealthy island if the UK did not shut down the sugar factories and refuse to buy Jamaican produce. So you can stick the bowing to master England where the sun doesn’t shine!
@africanexcellencemovement1266 your welcome to live in the past. Most black people are more concerned about making a better life for themselves and their family. We can't change history it happened and it's something as black people we have to live with and never forget.i don't know where your from but if your in the UK you will probably see what I see every day.i see the Indians doing much better than us in all aspects, Education Business. In time they will be the dominant race in this country. Were they not slaves.
@@tonyc6736"Slave" by name, maybe, but the black treatment and experience is completely different to that of the Indian. That's a low and cheap blow trying to compare our turmoil with other races. There are many different factors and systems that HAVE to be taken into account. Do you know why Chinese and Indians have shops and restaurants while many black people don't? Because of the system put in place by the British Government that stopped black people from obtaining the same (or at least made it harder) and "favourable racism", where we have had pure negative and degratory propaganda spread around the world against us and others have had more "favourable" views and comments said about them. Plus the people in charge will have that thinking also, "Do I give a business loan to the 'mild mannered, meek, good with numbers, hard working' Indian or the 'lazy, troublemaking, dangerous' black person? You and many others, may have worked hard and did well for yourself, but others have tried too and it didn't always work out, whether thru lack of opportunities or taking the wrong path, doesn't mean they are living "in the past". The discrepancies and injustices, even between the races, has been highlighted numerous times. It's a shame you're so dismissive of the black experience and ready to throw the "that's the past/slave mentality will get you no where" card around so freely
Where in the world you are unlikely to find crime, violence, and dam rude and abusive?? Let me know! Yes you are 💯 correct. I agree with you 100% Freedom I love about Jamaica from 5 years old I knew I would relocate to Jamaica, I fulljoy farming and the quality of life, Sea and the River are my Peace. I think I know the Channel your talking if it’s the one, he’s an Activist and he fights against Corruption and I’m with him. Thanks for sharing your Journey 🇯🇲
First time coming across your channel. I think we find a certain sense of belonging in Jamaica that we cannot find in any of those “first world” countries.
Really enjoyed this video. I’m glad to hear you are at a place of Tranquility and peace. Be interested to know if Jamaicans treat you any differently, once they hear your accent. Do they think you’re rich because you’ve come from the UK? Do they think you must’ve had a fantastic life in the UK? Are they amazed that you gave up the life in the UK to come back to Jamaica, when so many people dream of leaving Jamaica. Thanks Alan 😊
How yuh doin Deezer girl, how is Outlaw, hope all is well, stay positive, stay blessed you all. take it easy girl. nice to see you doin ok. Jamaica is nice , just have to know how to pace yuhself.
I’ve moved back to Jamaica 2016 with my son. I met my husband and now we have 2 children of our own. It the best decision I’ve ever made
You are right. When I think of peace, I think of Jamaica....my happy place 😊😊😊
You’re not wrong at all 🥺❤️
Deezer, 100% agree with you on everything!! My journey is similar to yours. UK born and bred and relocated to Jamaica 3 years ago. Absolutely luv it here!!
Glad you enjoy
Same here from the US

Ive been in JA four years now straight, coming an going for 12 years, building a house etc. Love the peace, in one word, FREEDOM!!
I am just like you….. UK born and made the move…. So glad I did. Love your channel. Long time subscriber.

Hi Deezer, good to see you again.
Ppl n their opinions😀Sometimes it best to move in silence. 🙏
Amen. Jamaica is not all doom and gloom. I think it's also a safe haven. People are people anywhere you go. But the vibes here is just top notch

I have friends who have moved back and doing just fine. They are professionals. So I think that does make a bit of a difference
i’m preparing to come home doing the move over the next two years…… needed to see this video sis ❤
It's great to hear you share your experiences.
So many people want to make the move but succumb to the negative perceptions being put out by the press, content creators and even Travel advisories being issued by other countries.

It’s been 7 years for me, would not live back in UK, there is ups and downs but less stressful for me

AGREE 100 PERCENT, I THINK IT SHOULD BE MANDATORY FOR ALL JAMAICANS TO GET A PASSPORT AND TRAVEL SOMEWHERE.
My sentiments exactly
I am planning on moving back, As you said, peace is so important, and the older you get, the more you seek peace and understand the importance of it. People's opinions are based on their own experiences. They can talk about it, but don't force it on others based on their life decisions
Jamaica is all about energy, vibes, freedom and its people. So if ppl are not on the same wavelength they won’t understand the natural realm
Coming from foreign, one day I aspire to live the life your speaking of 🇯🇲
I'm in Jamaica as well...2 years now, no family here. Just me and my kids
Hey how did you make that happen? Any tips?
Amazing
Yes, Yes, Yes!!! I sit down on the veranda and smile. The peace is wonderful no matter what is going on - peace!
Where in the world you are unlikely to find crime, violence, and dam rude and abusive??

Yes I believe it's Miss R Fabulous your talking about.. she seems to be doing so good and at peace which is great
Its so true about the weather when the sun is shining I am the most happiest person ever . Right now in the UK big June it cold like autumn
😂
England is too expensive and too cold

There is actually free healthcare in Jamaica.Just that things move faster when u pay for it. But public healthcare is free. Just saying.
@cleverB634 I did not know that, thanks for the info.

Keep doing you….there is a lot of people who strive off negativity. Jamaica is definitely my sanctuary
It's mine too. They can say what they like about the negativity of Jamaica but I can say hand on heart, best decision I made.
I’ve been watching since you made the move ❤. Thanks for the update. I’ve always wanted to do it. I’m going to
Love how you split justice keep sharing your experiences.

The sun, sea, fresh fruits and vegetables and the peace of mind are priceless. ❤
I'm so Proud of you guys Dee / outlaw 🙏🏿 keep of good work 👏🏿
I understand, Peace beyond all understanding.🤗 the new subscribers should go back and watch your vlogs from the beginning.
Ditto 💯%.
I really miss Jamaica man, there's no place like it
Same here
As long as you can financially support yourselves.
Thank you for sharing, can’t wait for my journey to begin ❤
‘I think Jamaica saved me’. Love this Dee! So happy for you. ❤️
Thank you 🙏🏾 ❤️ is this Marsha from back in the days Micah?
Yep it’s me! :-)
Hi Deezer, Big Up Yourself Thanku for sharing 🙏🏾👋🏾🤩
I’m from uk I want to move to Jamaica bc I’m so tired of uk it’s so boring and terrible weather but it’s gonna be me by myself so it’s gonna be hard I’m going to make the big move next year hopefully 🤞🏾 🙏🏾🙏🏾
You are so right in your presentation. Everyone should do what makes them happy. I am from Trinidad but live in the USA, and I am contemplating returning to my country.
I tell everyone if you have a good job, there is no need to move to the USA. It's totally different from when my family migrated in the 70s
Blessings to you and your family andenjoy your life🎉❤.
The key is: Move in peace.
I agree with your reasoning Deezer. I would love to move to Jamaica at some point. For the weather, nature and peace. Bad and good every where you go.🙏🏾🇬🇧
Blessings ✔️ an Tuesday 👌🏿
You are right my sister working working working day and night
Thank you for this 🙏🏽 very inspiring and motivating God bless 🙏🏽
Girl, my depression is all the time… it summer now and I should be happy; but nah. We are a family of four and coming back to Jamaica is not currently an option. I have been to Africa; Kenya, and I found peace there … it’s very similar to Jamaica in many ways, but very affordable.
I am truly happy for you and wish you continued success.
One love 🇯🇲I happy to see you. Hope you and your family are well. Keep pushing don’t give up. Stay positive ❤️
Proud of you. I say this all the time i wish i could be like you woman of my dreams
My husband and I are getting ready to move there. I am Jamaican Citizen my husband is not. I have a remote job. My husband is looking for a remote job.
Looking to move too. Nervous about making mistakes 😢
I want to come back home. I keep planning and just doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen anytime soon. Sometimes you just got to get up and do it. I don’t want to get old before it happens, the good thing is that I live in Florida I can get there quickly 😊
Agree Ja holds a special place in my heart. Yard me seh everytime!!!
I know the RUclipsr you're talking about. I remember her doing a few live streams where she was cussing about the heat, it was pissing her off and she couldn't get anything done be cause it was making her tired. It made her miss the UK. I like the balance of having JA and UK.
Which RUclipsr you talking about.
Great video.
Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts about Jamaica. I love my country. ❤
So so ture..All countries have their struggles. Each person to their own with best wishes.. God blessed
Love ur content will share❤
So, pleased that you are still enjoying Jamaica, but life is what you make it whoever you are and wherever you are. I live in the Uk and for the past three years I’ve have been a caregiver to my mother in Jamaica. I stay for 6 months of the year, but I always look forward to going back to the UK. I am glad I’ve had the opportunity to experience living here because I now know my home is definitely the UK.
For sure, it’s different for everyone and we respect everyone’s journey and preference 👍🏾
Interesting ... why do you say that?
Are you black?
Simple house make sure its slab top hurricane won't blow off put up solar panels catch rain water and plant basic food and u good to go

I need to make a move too . For real to do some business.
So true let everyone make their own decisions
My cousin move down from London with her kids and shes doing so well she told cuz couldn't take it anymore I was so depressed.
Hi deezer how are you doing. Glad to see you back, great video ❤❤💯
You are very honest about your experiences travelling and kiving in Ja.
I agree 💯
be on more often i like your show
Beautifully said Dee..
Dem soon deport him and I hope dem sa no yu don’t belong ya.
What a nice place fi live, the only problem is...
Anyway! That's great! Keep it up. Make sure you have a backup plan as well
Jamaica is like a valued partner
.when you leave them you miss them.
I agree with you 100%
Freedom I love about Jamaica from 5 years old I knew I would relocate to Jamaica, I fulljoy farming and the quality of life,
Sea and the River are my Peace.
Hey girl, yuh cant have everything, settle for what yuh need and go for it. yuh cant plan for everything.
