Good stuff, great tone, it’s a song and a baseline that doesn’t get enough Love from blink fans. Mark may not be the best bassist on earth, but he’s very clever in his choices of what he plays and where. Especially in the early days when he flexed a bit more.
I feel you, I love the bass in this song. I think Mark is a great bass player plus he has to sing on some songs! That’s not easy. He has his own unique style of playing that fit blink’s music perfectly and I’m a fan. Plus the dude has one of the gnarliest bass tones in the business. His early playing was really good too. Thanks for checking out the channel!
As an avid MH fan, he's my bass daddy. The greatest lesson I learned from him was timing. Mark has impeccable timing. Live on stage and during recordings, he rarely misses the beat. I know he's not the best, but take a song like Always, Cacophony, Hearts all Gone, those kinds of basslines are staples for what blink is today.
