I tried the 1792 SB and it is really good and a great value. I felt it was very viscous compared to other bourbons. I will check and see what others pop up on shelves.
I pick 1792 SB regularly for $23. Incredible value. It's the bottle I always take to parties and leave for the host. They're always convinced because of how classy the bottle looks and the taste that I've brought in a really expensive bottle.
sippin on my single barrel store pick at this very moment
Took me a long time to get into 1792's flavor profile, its like nothing else on the market
It’s soooo good! Thank you for watching!
SMalll Batch was the first 1792 I had and it singlehandedly turned me off to the brand for a while. IMHO there are lots of competitors, even cheaper options like OF Signature, Elijah Craig, and WT101 that I would pick over it any day. Then I picked up a Full Proof store pick and was blown away. It is now in regular rotation on my bar. Now I have 12 year (worth the money at retail or even a little over, but not worth the $100+ you see it some places, but then again, VERY few bourbons are worth $100+). Still haven't tried BiB, but I WILL buy it next time I see it.
Maybe I owe small batch another visit to be fair.
Also, I agree on the liking older, oaky notes. EC18 is considered way too oaky for some, but I actually love it. Probably why I love the 1792 12yr.
1792 small batch is one of the top “every day” easy find bottles.
I need to try 1792 again, the last bottle I had was very heavy on ethanol notes.
One of my FAVORITES! I love the 1792 line!
ALL were IMPECCABLE! 1792 is my jam ☺️
Great review. I would love to see you two do a George Dickel line up drink through.
Great video and not sure how I missed this one until today. I have an unopened 1792 small batch i got as a gift and this review has me was wanting to open it up. Maybe I will for tomorrow's live.
Just got my 1st 1792 on Saturday, the SB is the only one available in my state. It's ok, I think once it airs out for a few weeks it'll mellow out.
thanks for the review. I need to try 1792. I'll have to see whats available. but this video made me want to try it even more. thanks and cheers
Cheers🥃 Thank you so much for watching!
Personally I'm not a fan at all of the Small Batch, but I suppose for $23, you can only expect so much. I just get like this white pepper note that overpowers the rest. I found a Single Barrel Full Proof recently for $54 and for me that's a better bang for my buck.
Great video as usual guys.
Am I way off. I get a lot of spice/heat/pepper on the small batch taste. Definitely think it’s proof punches higher than it is.
None of it bad at all but way different experience for me this time than what you got.
I do enjoy pouring along with you (well when i have it or can go get it )
3 weeks later. Went back to it last night and spice is cut way down. An absolute flavor bomb. What a difference. Was a not great for me at start now is a must have on shelf with backup. What a great pour after it opens
Did a blind this weekend with some of my single barrels. The 1792 SiB came in first followed by Blantons, Kentucky Spirit, and finally 4 Roses
Nice line up! Cheers🥃
I bought the 1792 small batch because of the gorgeous bottle. Really liked it. Then I noticed they had a store pick of the BIB, bought one, liked it so much, I went back and bought the last bottle they had. Haven’t seen any of the others in my area, but I’m hopeful.
1792 closed down for a bit. In the last month it came back on the shelf at the Bardstown Kroger liquor store and its limit one per customer. Damn good bourbon my favorite since moving here last year.
I'm a huge 1792 fan. Now on the hunt for the BiB. Picked up a store pick FP at VA ABC over the weekend. It is so damn good.
Yesssss!! So good! Cheers🥃
Damn... I've never seen ANY variant at any VA ABC beyond the standard small batch. Lucky find!
Great second blind. Small Batch held up. Going to look out for the Bottled in Bond. Cheers.
Yes! It’s so good! Can’t complain on either of them 😁! Cheers Charles!
Awesome retake guys!!!
You rock!!!
Thank you Archie! You are awesome☺️🥃
Love my 1792 ! Mike Atlanta GA
Love 1792 as well! Cheers Mike for GA ☺️🥃
Thanks for doing this!
Thank you for watching! The SB was a great bottle 😁
There are a lot of sides to Bourbon and a lot of different things you could make videos on. Some people are interested in what the rare bottles will taste like but remember that most of your viewers will never have an opportunity to taste those so they will be interested in how they compare to the bottles that are available on the shelf.
You are totally right Bill! In the end it’s about what we can find! If you can find and afford something YOU love then that is what matters!
The small batch is a tasty bottle and available everywhere in Az....A 2nd video just gives more info on the buy...Cheers u 2...
Small Batch made it in my top 2!! Great bottle 🥃☺️
1792 Small Batch is the only one that is available in my area but it’s one of my favorites
It’s definitely a good one!
Love it! Way to get it right!
Thank you for watching! Cheers Mike!
Good stuff 👏 🥃
Thank you☺️🥃
Sitting here drinking the 1792 Full Proof…how would you rank it with these four?
Appreciate y’all!
The last ranking I did FP was in my second to last! It is a proofy beast is the only reason why it didn’t make the top 3! Cheers Stuart☺️🥃
Full Proof?
I was gonna go get some of my 1792SB, and alas, it's empty. Time to get another.
Yes!! DO IT!! Awesome bottle ☺️
@@Beyondwhiskeyrow Came home today with a Russell's Reserve Single Barrel, Ardbeg Uifeadail, and a OGD BIB instead. Next time I'll get a replacement. I went for a Weller 107, but it wasn't there, the Ardbeg made me set down a New Riff Bourbon I originally grabbed.
😊💖🐶🐶
Small batch is the only one I have tried so far and I did not care for it
@5:20 don't take my stuff
You kind of skipped over number one but I appreciate you doing the whole line but by the time you got to number one you just sort of skipped over it so I’m a little confused but I can go rewind and figure it out but it’s just weird that you skipped it and you have it there as a picture but you just add the video right when you get the number one. Very odd.
Sorry not sure what you mean. This was an older video. We try to add a few differences now to make it easier as a viewer to follow along. Thank you
1792 small batch is DISGUSTING..tastes like a damp basement. I am gonna toss my full bottle its do bad. Undrinkable
Yea it’s not great
1792 is absolutely terrible.
I mean… it’s eh…
It’s been well over a year since we filmed this so I will go back and watch to see what has changed since. Thank you for watching!
