Excellent list, I’d also recommend adding: As Blood Runs Black - Allegiance All Shall Perish - The Price of Existence Enterprise Earth - Luciferous Angelmaker - Angelmaker Slaughter To Prevail - Misery Sermon Oceano - Ascendants Rings of Saturn - Lugal Ki En Carnifex - Slow Death Fit For An Autopsy - Sea of Tragic Beasts Within The Ruins - Elite
Great list. Mine would probably have to be: 1) Rings of Saturn - Lugal Ki En 2) The Faceless - Akeldama 3) Aversions Crown - Tyrant 4) Shadow of Intent - Reclaimer 5) Thy Art is Murder - The Adversary
The Black Crown record is amazing. The previous records are outstanding. They stand the test of time. RIP Mitch the best deathcore vocalist hands down.
Thy Art is Murder was my first deathcore band. Being told by the metal elitist crowd how awful deathcore was, I stayed clear until I got into metalcore and realized, I may have been limiting my tastes. Being into bands like Entombed and Dismember, I thought Thy Art had those awesome death metal tremolo riffs and brutality that I loved. Hate in particular is one of the best produced metal albums I have ever heard imho.
Love Melancholy! One of the best albums from last year. Whitechapel was my gateway band into deathcore back in 2008. I would also say fit for an autopsy and thy art is murder as great bands to start off with the genre. Plus, the acacia strain was also another band that got me started back in the day.
Agreed with Shadow of intent. They one of the 1st Bands I got interested in when it comes to Deathcore and still one of my favorite Deathcore bands. Born of Osiris is also pretty good and I do like their hardcore stuff as well. But honestly I got started with Deathcore with Carnifex with their album Die without Hope so I think Carnifex is another good entry band
I agree with you picking The Black Crown, as far as getting someone into the genre, unless they’re already used to listening to more intense type of metal music, then yah I’d start with that album. If you thrown on Bludgeoned to Death for someone who’s used to Duality by Slipknot being about the heaviest they go, it might just scare them off lol
My top 5 Shadow of intent - Reclaimer Thy Art is Murder - Hate Suicide Silence - The Black Crown Make Them Suffer - Old Souls Infant Annihilator - TEGG honorable: Exoplanet, battle of yaldabaoth, melancholy, primordial, scryers of the ibis, dissentient, the disfigurement of existence, flesh coffin, dig deep, ultu ulla, nightmare on providence street, I, colossus, our endless war, proprioception, desolation of eden, neverbloom
With regard to Born of Osiris, that’s probably their last album that could be considered deathcore. They’ve basically been a metalcore band since then, albeit an ambitious oddball to that scene as they were to deathcore.
my first deathcore album was Count Your Blessings by BMTH (and this was the first album I heard from them) and I still love it, though it's more like Melodic Death Metal with breakdowns lol
Usually when I come to deathcore, I'm looking for the cavemen noises. So the more groove oriented, the better for me. So I think Suicide Silence should start anyone off pretty well. Edit: I've not even heard The Discovery yet, but as soon as the synths and tech groove kicked in, I knew it was BoO. Such an unmistakable sound
Whitechapels new album got me into deathcore tbh loved the clean singing and melodies so I’ll credit that as a great beginner album as I hated the genre before hearing that album. I passed it off as just breakdowns and noise with no melody but the valley has soul 😉 I’m winking because I know you hate it haha
I don't hate it. It just find it kind of bland and dull. I appreciate what they are trying to do, but I've heard so many other bands just do it better.
Within Destruction - D E A T H W I S H was the album that got me into deathcore. And Yōkai would be great introduction into deathcore since it is a mix of deathcore/nu metal/metalcore. Great list btw 🤘🔥
Funny how my first deathcore band is infant annihilator. And first album was the elysian grandeval. Good beginners choises tho even I think lona shore, rings of Saturn, shadow of intent, brand of sacrifice, and infant annihilator are the best in my opinion. Infant annihilator is the best deathcore band they ruined metal for me now everything will never be as brutal.
god ive been commenting on all your damn videos today but i love your content so far your list seems to be missing some well done more "standard" deathcore albums imo id say throwing in an album like the harbinger by molotov solution would have been sick or something like depths by oceano

Melancholy came out in 2019. One of my favorite albums, ever!
It’s so effin heavy
Excellent list, I’d also recommend adding:
As Blood Runs Black - Allegiance
All Shall Perish - The Price of Existence
Enterprise Earth - Luciferous
Angelmaker - Angelmaker
Slaughter To Prevail - Misery Sermon
Oceano - Ascendants
Rings of Saturn - Lugal Ki En
Carnifex - Slow Death
Fit For An Autopsy - Sea of Tragic Beasts
Within The Ruins - Elite
More great choices
No lorna shore - immortal ?
@@Streetecho07 No, he didn’t say Lorna Shore. He didn’t personally pick them. However will you survive?
More like carnifex - dead in my arms
The Price of Existence was the first deathcore album I ever bought. Such a phenomenal listen
Great list. Mine would probably have to be:
1) Rings of Saturn - Lugal Ki En
2) The Faceless - Akeldama
3) Aversions Crown - Tyrant
4) Shadow of Intent - Reclaimer
5) Thy Art is Murder - The Adversary
Reclaimer 💪
the discovery is my favorite deathcore album. its amazing cover to cover.
100%. Be sure to check out the other videos.
The Black Crown record is amazing. The previous records are outstanding. They stand the test of time. RIP Mitch the best deathcore vocalist hands down.
Maybe not the BEST, but definitely helped create the blueprint for the genre as we know it.
@Mezzy Mez Dickie Allen and Ben duerr exist !!
The best is a bit much, but definitely one of the most iconic
That infant annihilator album is absolutely insane

Good choice. Their last album was excellent

Lol most definitely
My top 5
Shadow of intent - Reclaimer
Thy Art is Murder - Hate
Suicide Silence - The Black Crown
Make Them Suffer - Old Souls
Infant Annihilator - TEGG

Fantastic list! I’d add the sea of tragic beasts by FFAA as well
Good choice!

The battle of Yaldabaoth is the best
Should've put as blood runs black the perfect album
Usually when I come to deathcore, I'm looking for the cavemen noises. So the more groove oriented, the better for me. So I think Suicide Silence should start anyone off pretty well.

I'm surprised that there is no mention of The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza. Their last album was amazing.
So many choices
@@MetalTrenches I dunno. They were the best deathcore bands that at least I could think of.

your list seems to be missing some well done more "standard" deathcore albums imo

All these albums are fantastic! I would also give Whitechapel an honorable mention
I did lol
whitechapel - the valley
fit for an autopsy - Sea of Tragic Beasts
two of the greatest albums of 2019 :)
I feel like I was the only one who didn’t care for The Valley
@Mezzy Mez well its got some clean vocals , but id still consider it a deathcore - alternative metal mixture :)
The black crown is probably the best album in that era of Deathcore
Purists love to shit on that album but I totally agree it’s pretty much perfection and the pinnacle of that particular blueprint.
@@MetalTrenches it did the djenty Nu metally butt rock thing a literal decade before it caught on
@@tpags7398 Very true
cool channel but if you took of the mask you would brake a barrier and your fans and future fans would relate to you more
That's probably true, but for a number of reasons I value my anonymity.
Within the Ruins is not deathcore.
😱
