Just found your channel this weekend. Great videos! I recently purchased an ‘02 Final Edition and need to upgrade a few things like this pulley. Before this video, I didn’t think it could...now I can. Thanks so much and keep the videos coming!
You got it! I'll make it happen, was waiting for the gears to break in before I started beating on it too hard but its time for some more exciting videos lol
any updated review of the pulley upgrade? are there any carbon fiber option, or aluminum is the way to go? i have a 2001 viper that I am looking to lighten without losing the factory look
Definitely need a review... Heard mixed results about these... Heard it could damage the alternator long term, not useful for a street ar that spends most of its life at idle... Curious on your thoughts...
Still waiting for summer heat and extreme city driving to give my full honest opinion. So far the difference I have noticed is at complete idle my volt gauge does bounce around a bit as opposed to being pegged at 13-14v with the stock pulley. Also more importantly is the decreased water pump speed and its affect (if any) on the cooling. Should be interesting to see how it does but I should know soon!
Hey Jason I definitely did notice a difference! I know there is a lot of controversy on this part but I actually took it off to rule out some cooling issues and if you check out the video I just posted I actually just put it back on again and it is definitely quicker with it installed. It revs up quicker and was breaking loose more. Don't have an exact hp gain but a lot of people reported about 20whp from this. But with your s/c this is a drop in the bucket lol
Less rotating mass on the crank and also the smaller diameter places less load from the accessories on the engine. Supposed to free up some hp by doing so.
BoostedMotorsports thanks man, I’m doing this upgrade now. I have my engine in my living room curing from painting it as we speak lol. I’ll be following your steps on the power steering pump as well

Jeremias066 I was going to but everywhere around here wanted $160 per session so $320 total which cost more than the part itself lol. I could still do it if some people want to contribute as I have the pulley off right now when I was sorting out some cooling issues that ended up being a clogged rad
I heard if u change ur pulley to smaller it may impact ur accessories as less work being done , i have a 00 acr and ur upgrades will be my goal in 5 years. No issues so far
Jeremias066 nice!!! Yeah mine has been pretty good I've just been going through the whole car bringing it up to 2017 standards so I can track it and beat on it 😬

Thanks Brian! Appreciate the feedback and glad you found it helpful. More videos on the way so check back! :D
I cant keep my viper cool as it is let alone spinning the water pump slower and i find dayco belts great!
Like your video's!:)👍😁...would be nice to see a video of you driving around with thoose new gears you innstalled!maybe some 1-2 and 3 gear pull!:)

Great video.
And you win something with this pulley ? More power ? And no negative point ?
I need to replace my rad what do you recommend going back with Oem or what

Cant say it did anything without checking. P/S can be a bitch at low RPM and the A/C doesn't seem to blow as cold....maybe just me.
Notice any difference? I need to install one of these this week to lower the boost on my 2.8l Roe.

Any heating issues? I never saw a review video for this, did I miss it?
Have you encountered any heating issues???
What exactly are you gaining by adding this smaller pulley?

Very informative. Liked and subscribed
Thanks glad you liked it! More to come!
Hi What does that do for the performances of the car?

Where did you get the shorter serpentine belt? Having a hell of a time locating that.
I ended up finding it at either O'Reillys or Autozone I can't remember but use the part number from this video 👍
Do one for the Ram!!! Please
I have a 2008 Dodge Viper. What brand headers and exhaust would you recommend. It has a 8.4 V10
Lots of good ones out there. ARH seem to be the popular choice and Corsa catback.
B&B! One of the nicest built, clean polished ss mandrel bends with x pipe just before tips. sounds grunty and mean as heck and it came on mine +1
Aren’t pullys university or different lug pattern for each vehicle
They are all vehicle specific unfortunately!
R u gonna dyno it
