Why are there no timings in the description, at least primary ones? Well-tuned primary, secondary and tertiary timings at the average frequency for ddr5 6000-6400mhz will easily bypass the higher frequency 7000mhz and higher with not very tuned timings.Timings are very important.please specify them.
@@BominYarou Averages are nice but outside of few games that see any benefit in such range most are below 5 fps difference and with higher resolution come less benefits. While the price for the higher end modules is much bigger. 5200/5600 is the way to go. I know that for gamer's needs 32 GB is enough for now and the price difference between 5200 and 6000 is almost non existent. But if you're not just gaming and need more RAM you should easily sacrifice RAM speed and don't overpay for it.
Looks like I picked the right memory for my 7800X3D. G.Skill 2x16GB DDR5-6000 CL32 with RGB, cos anything with RGB makes your PC go faster, just like a car with racing stripes.

If you are gaming at 1440p or higher, with a really fast GPU like 4080 and higher or AMD equivalent, you will see maybe 1~3 FPS increase at best, comparing 7200mhz to base 4800mhz RAM. EDIT: Fast RAM is only showing benefits at 1080p and lower resolutions.
What I'm curious about is 6000MHz with a 1:1 Fclck vs 6400MHz without the Fclck being 1:1 as I've been using my 6400MHz CL32 and it's been running fine, but I wonder if performance would improve if the Flck was 1:1 as obviously X670E boards can't handle 2133 Fclk as from what I've heard the limit is 2000 maybe 2100 if you're lucky
6400 MHz on Ryzen will always outperform 6000 MHz as long as the FCLK, UCLK, and timings are set correctly. If you use 6400 MHz, you must perform at least some level of tuning, because the automatically configured settings will not be correct (even if you use XMP or EXPO).
Anything overclocked from base Ram speed has to be XMP'd or EXPO'd. In this case DDR5's base speed is 4800mhz so of course anything above that must be overclocked enabled in Bios

Changing frequency without tuning timings and sub timings makes no sense. If you simply super tune 4800 with timings and sub timings it will smoke all of those in video. You can even drop to 4600 for lol's and it will still smoke them.
well for 7800x3d the sweet spot is 6000mhz and wont benefit at all if you get 6400 or even 7200 and most of the time it will crash if you use higher than 6000. so you should have tested on non 3D cpus or intel ones.
Wish there was a price associated with each Memory Speed to see how much Value to price Difference there is. If 5600MHz and 6000 MHz has 30% Gap not worth it. 4800 MHZ should not really be option with the big drop off.
Due to the insane 3D Vcache. 7800X3D is less RAM speed sensitive compared to its non X3D counterparts. I'd be more interested in seeing a R5 7600 cpu take the slot to see a greater discrepancy in results based on RAM speed.
I got ~10600 timespy cpu score with tight timings 6200mhz vs ~10500 6000 tight timings. Didn’t test in games. 6400 was unstable with tight timings on my ryzen 7600

For now, at least. In few years, 6000MHz will considered a low frequency for DDR5. Like most people today use 3200MHz on their DDR4 systens, I think the common for DDR5 will be 8000MHz.

Latency also depends. The reason 4800 Mt/s is so behind is probably because you have a terrible stick with a really high CAS latency, and the others not only have higher clock speed but also a bit lower latency.

RAM benefits might be not as good, but they are very important for the iGPU/APU performance

running 7800x3d with 6400 cl32 but 1:1 turned out to be unstable so i went back to 1:2

Go for the highest guys but it seems like there’s a noticeable difference between 48 and 56 mhz. Almost like it was being bottle necked. Who knows
