- When Cedar Point announced their new-for-2013 roller coaster on August 13th 2012, we were there to capture the moment! In this special video, John Hildebrandt (Cedar Fair's Vice President & General Manager) and Monty Jasper (Vice President of Safety & Engineering), unveiled the ride to members of the public and press by the entrance gates. Monty Jasper then answered questions from the press in a question & answer session.
Cedar Point's (Sandusky, OH, USA) new ride is called Gatekeeper, will have a 165ft drop, feature six inversions and two keyhole fly-throughs...watch the video to learn about the statistics, theme, restraints, ride experience and more!

Gatekeeper is going to be one bad ass ride.
If Full Throttle is a Maverick type ride, it very well could overshadow this attraction. Magic Mountain has a lot of coasters, but I really need me some airtime if I'm going to make the trek back there.
Aww i never got to ride the disaster transport but j left cedar point a few days ago and it was closed

Listen CP. Have all ride open at 9am. The thrill ride tour is Maverick, MF, GK, Raptor, TTD. Hire the crews to come in early to check the rides. I hate it when I jog up to a ride only to find a 10 minute delay for opening. Have all coasters ready at 9am, all trains running. No excuses. The world is coming.

you're right, but that is not what i mean. what i mean is attendance in cp was way down. i was hoping we would draw visitors with the new rollercoasters because shoot the rapids and the windseeker failed to draw visitors. (cedar point earned a lot more money this year because so many people bout season passess:)

I have friend's who are very upset about Disater Transport being gone i thought it was fun but not enough to sit here and complain about it being torn down I mean seriously it's been 5 year's since they built a new coaster the only thing I have to say it's about time.

I rode the Diesater Transport for the last time on May 21, 2012 I was hoping to ride it again this Saturday. I didn't even know they demolished it and I just found out about the new ride on the website. Oh well R.I.P Diesater Transport and hello Gate Keeper
I can't wait. Not only do I love going to this park. I loved working at it. Crazy how many people from around the world come here too.

You don't have to ride this, but some of us can't afford to fly to Europe to ride one. (Prior to Wild Eagle anyway)

I respect your opinion, but cedar point has some off the best coasters in the world. RIght now milliniom force is the best coaster in the world. They also have the dragster, maverick, raptor, wicked twister, witch are all sick.

Have you even been to cedar point? Just wondering. As for awards who better than to judge them than the people who ride them? If Magic Mountain has better coasters than more people would vote for Magic Mountain.
This ride is as smooth as melted butter~! Simply awesome AND beautiful to see! CP is THE best park on earth!!! Its also very very quiet!
u wish six flags magic mountain has the worlds fastest and tallest drop ride better known as lex luthor:drop of doom. and the worlds 1st 5th denominational coaster x2 and better yet has the most roller coasters on the planet and they are planning to amp it up to 20 i believe in your face
