I wanted to start doing a video series that shows some things I go through in my everyday life. In my first video I take you through my experience of going through a car wash.
My 20 year old daughter with PACC hates car washes. She feels the same way you to. My daughter had her first day of classes at VCU but can’t drive a car. I am so proud of her accomplishments. Parents that have children with ACC should never give up hope because our kids are amazing.
Keep your Doors unlocked, You Can Always Drive your Car Off the Rack. The car wash service has a Emergency Shut Off system. 👍 you Did it ! Play Music 🎶. In Car Wash.
Hey I want to thank you for posting the videos I have ACC. I’ve missed seeing your videos. You help me realize that people who have ACC have a chance 🤩 @Living with ACC
My daughter is 6 with ACC and she has always hated and been absolutely terrified of the car wash, once we realized that we don’t take her anymore but even driving pass it causes her to freak out. Thanks for sharing your journey, it reminds me that we are not alone!
@@LivingwithACC That would be so great! I would appreciate it a lot. I just found your channel around 5 months ago. My daughter has complete ACC, one of her many characteristics of Aicardi Syndrome. Good to see you're doing ok. Thank you for sharing your experience!
@@keatsgridley3654 , my daughter is also isolated acc! She's 5 now & you would never know she was different from my other five kids. She loves to learn. She can ride a scooter & a tricycle just fine. She can write her name, too. The only thing that might be from her acc is she always likes to state the obvious! Some of my favorite things she has said was," did you know I was born!?" And "did you know I have a FACE!?" She's always cracking me up.
Hi Jessica, When it come to driving I don’t have any anxiety with that. I have been driving since I was 16. I took my time to learn step by step because I like to be really good at things before moving to the next part. I was given lots of time to practice before getting my license at age 19 because in my family you had to make “honor roll” in school to get it. I was never an A+ student (more B’s and C’s) so I never made honor roll and by age 19 it was easier just to let me take the test and get it. I am a careful, precise but fast driver. My husband tried to teach me to drive a stick once but it was too many things to remember, so I just drive automatic vehicles. When in high traffic or big city areas, I just make sure I am in the lane I need a bit ahead of time, but if I ever miss a turn I know I can get myself back on track or turned around. I didn’t used to like driving at night but, we found out that I had just needed glasses! Lol! Also, right now I drive a Chevy traverse, which is a large vehicle, I have always been good at parallel parking in the past, but in the year I have own this car now, I have yet to try with it! I tend to find a parking lot or a space on the street that has two spaces together so I can pull right in instead of backing in. What areas of driving give you anxiety? Maybe I have a tip or two that could help you.
I wish you woukd do more of these. Very Helpful!!

I find car washes boring unless they allow me to stay inside the car while it moves through the belt.
Will you be making more videos soon?
Thanks for asking! Yes, I am going to try and upload something a couple times a week to get back into making videos.
