So the UA Spark is on sale and this is part of that. 99 cents for 3 months and the $19.99/mo after... I'm game, the tone that their video shows is quite intriguing... will try it and see how it does with my stuff. Thanks for the heads up... Can we now say that the albums we are recording were recorded and/or mixed as Sound City Studios? LOL
I just found this channel I couldn't believe it when I heard your voice, I was like "It's that Studio One guy". I'm very glad I did though, I really love your studio one content. I just switched to Cubase from S1 and this was the best time to come across this channel.
Such a great demo and straight forward. I kinda really want this. I've gotten myself in so many situations where I just want the track to feel like its in a room. Not really reverb, just in a room. Sometimes a convolution reverb is good, but this seems like it'll be perfect.
Very cool, but a bit pricey for my budget/skill level 😂 Thanks for all the cakewalk tutorials I have jumped ship to r****r, but still learn tricks from you ❤
Great Video but I'm having trouble with mine. When I open up this plugin I don't have all the options on the bottom and sides that everyone else has. Mine is basic I can only move mics ? You have any ides what I'm doing wrong ???
Got it last week on sale along with the Fairfax vol. 2 AD Pack from XLN Audio (sampled in Sound City also). This way, I won't have to use it for drums. The cons for me: _CPU usage is too high for the purpose of this plugin _The width is too wide and creates phasing issues, which lead to huge ear fatigue Consider being able to solve these two problems before you decide to buy this. The pros are a lot! But mostly, I can say that it gave me very pristine results on dry solo string samples. So it works for various genres!
I haven't bought anything yet,I usually have my eye on things but I feel this year the offers have been pretty thin..I am curious to see what' waves ' free plugin will be? Hmm?
Thanks, Mikey. A bit pricey now, I'll wait for a SALE sale. I'm pretty happy with my Sunset Sound reverb from IK Multimedia, though. Last I saw, it was on sale for $40 I think.
I do like the sounds of their plugins. But I’ll probably never buy into them, for the fact at how their software is so intrusive to gaining as much information as possible. I’ve never had a program ask for so many permissions up to and including being able to watch the desktop.
So how did they accurately mimic a studio that closed in 2011? Not worth it to me anyway even if it were free and no one would perceive your/my recording as being done in this studio. Nevertheless, your quantity and quality of output is unmatched. Always look forward to the next one. Thanks.
I had the same question, but the studio was bought by a private company and revamped into a massive production facility including some atmos studios in the same complex. There's a video by either UA or someone else that's circulating with the very staff who work there now. Cheers
I thunk those who are rattling on about people's holiday need to go on a written word holuday themselves! I'm glad CS took his time to do this video.. didn't you watch his previous video? Yeah you did- Your just taking the piss...MFs
I have reservations about buying anyting from UAD because they seem to be very effective at shafting their existing customers using the same strategy IK uses of giving extremely attractive deals to new customers then nicking and diming them out of every cent they have once they're in. The main story you're gonna hear is UAD promising existing users free upgrades for bundle purchases, then removing their posts stating that and releasing better bundles with more plugins for lower prices once people have already bought the more expensive one first. When asked about it, all UAD representatives can say is they're gonna come up with good offers for existing customers. And that has been on the hold for a few months already.
I’ve been a UAD customer for almost 10 years and this has never been my experience. I’m not upset about any of UA’s recent offers to new customers. No one forced me to buy the UA hardware and software I’ve purchased over the years. Not only that, I just wait until right time of year and buy UA products when they have their sales. It really isn’t that complicated.
@@pandemic7 I'm gonna give you one example. This plugin by itself costs the same as a bundle of 34 plugins which comes with this plugin. The bundle in question was announced shortly after this plugin was released.
@@BrunodeSouzaLino I bought this plugin with another plugin for $99, that’s $49.50. Again, just wait for the right time and you won’t have anything to complain about.
Just finished watching DG’s sound city documentary. What a final insult for sound city to be digitised, and commodified, in such a crass thing as a plug in.
Holy moly! I can’t wait to try this plugin!
The vocals are crazyy, bout to get it during the sales right now
I just bought it and absolutely love it!
Praise the Lord Brother
Got it for $50 in sales/loyalty discount. A stunning plugin, finally I got my accoustic vst drums sounding real.
Been playing with this today, the drums presets are amazing. Thank you for your videos , man. really helpfull
Great input, really bring it home for me on the many possibilities to enhance a mix! Love it...

This is one of the few demos that actually turned the SOLO off!!! Great Demo!!!
Looks good. Brilliant..

Please make a video on advanced settings under preferences in Cakewalk especially I am confused with the surround settings..

Yeah, 83€ for this and another plug with the coupon in the checkout.
there was a sale. buy two plugins for $99 deal
@@devilsposterboy i got 5 of them

Psst... you forgot to add the "this video right here" at the end... 😉
We've been wondering about this big fella.. Is it worth buying? Hope your all good dude ☮️🤝🏼
I'm yet to hear an example of this plugin making drums sound like they were recorded in a real room. I was hoping for a miracle I guess.
Didn't U2 record their recent single there?
Hey!
I though the single C12 sounded great on the guitar.
So what justifies a $300 price tag on this reverb?
The sale where you get this plus another plug for 83€ (with loyalty coupon in checkout)
I am pretty sure at its core this plugin is just a bunch of IRs and eq settings. Nice UI though and might be useful in some situations 🤷🏼♂️
That's exactly what ANY room simulator is lol what else would it be? The dynamics processor is killer, though. Ocean Way doesn't have that
I just think the marketing is slightly misleading as no one would pay the same price for a bunch of IRs.

It's just like everything else. Someone develops a plug-in and slaps the Abbey Road name on it or the Sound City name on it then jacks up the price.
Did you miss your flight?

Would be cool to have a review by someone who’s actually used the studio (like me 😄.)
Not for Digital Performer 😡
