This book is inspiring. It has a great 80s violence feel, and truly lives up to "anyone can make a comic". Comics like this push me to keep working on my own.
As a devout Kayfaber since the beginning I take your advice on comics as gospel, and after the first “Outlaw” comics episode I had to track down ALL the ones you showed. Ben Marra’s were so appealing to me I emailed his site asking if the original Traditional Comics floppies were still available and he wrote me back right away, telling me they weren’t and I should just order the collections from Fanta, which I did. It was so nice to correspond with the guy for a few days, he’s really nice! And when I got the OMWOT book I read it in the van when I was on tour with my band and I kept laughing out loud SO hard the entire time!!! Also a little FYI to other Kayfabers who may not know: the majority of the first chunk of episodes on the Power Comics RUclips channel feature Ben analyzing a bunch of old rad Power Comics from the 80’s with Evan and Gabe, and you can really tell what a true passion this guy has for the “singular vision” of these obscure teenage comic makers that inspire this style!
"Let's go. There's a road. There's a car. It's stopping. Hi. Get out of the vehicle. Okay. BAM! BAM! TW-KRACK!" --greatest story-telling I've ever seen, pure genius
As soon as I read this book I had to write Ben Marra to tell him how much I love it. To my surprise he wrote me back and was such a kind and gracious man I was thrown off a bit. He made me a fan for life and I read all his comics. He's a true master of his craft
All hail the great Benjamin Marra, the mighty sword lord, he yields a double edged blade, writer and illustrator and equally skilled in both. I hope to see Ben join you guys in a future episode, it's been awhile. Great episode! Read Marra (more) Comics!! ooo that gotta ring to it
Marra's style was perfect for the ESPN 30 for 30 he did about Elvis playing badminton. It's called "When The King Held Court", and you can check it out on his website.
The "A jeep" and "It's a ninja" lines remind me of Silent Hill 3, when you're at the bakery and press X to interact with the bread and Heather says: "It's bread". It was always hilarious!
This is amazing! I was laughing so hard. But I do respect the work put into this and the illustrations. I have to ask if you have ever come across Harry the Cop? It was a Slave Labor Graphics from 1992. I don't know if its worth an episode but definitely worth checking out for when it had come out and where we're at with the history of racism and the police force.

I went on an emotional rollercoaster coaster of "It is amazing that this exists," to "Aw man, this is a schtick," to "Nah, this is still amazing."
Maybe Marvel will put out a Punisher Grand Design one-shot by Ben Marra.
Since you put this under the microscope, can we get Fukitor for a future episode?
I second that emotion.
@@hateyouhumans20666 Now that's just silly.
First thing I thought of, Fukitor is insane
I dropped off my first comics into a Little Free Library today! Thanks for the idea!

Comic Kayfabe version of They Live: "I am here to kick ass and draw comics... and I'm all out of ass!"
Reminds me of Raymond Pettibon’s SST and Sonic Youth artwork, especially the shading
Let's just say ... "this is great"...
Ben Marra's a fucking genius and a great guy on top of it

This book is so fucking dope! OOOOOOMMMMWOT absolutely delivers! The dialogue!

Love the channel! I thought I detected a Pittsburgh accent.
One of the funnest comics I've ever read. Nice to see it on the show.
This looks rad! You guys should definitely discuss Poison Elves by Drew Hayes!!
Great "Funnybook" & Great Video. Appreciate the Cartoonist Kayfabe Crew & Family. Thanking you All, Kindly!
Ben Marra is a class act and a storytelling genius.

I gotta get this book! Found it on Amazon. Thanks guys!
Is there a link to the comic being reviewed? Maybe I'm missing something but all of the links seem to go to the video hosts?
Just get my copy of the trade back from my fathers in law. Always inspiring stuff.
MUST O-W-N!
Do yall still have the Spanish language omwat poster I sent you?
D'oh! I didn't even think of that. It would have been the perfect backdrop! - JR
