Just my opinion and no hate please
So here's the difference between a man and a woman
If you a woman and you wear hijab, but accidentally your hair is showed a little, and here you go, you will have the whole entire community attacking you mainly men as always
And they will "advice" how to wear it properly while themselves sin a lot even bigger than this
And if you see for a man, actually according to the dress code a man should cover his knees
But you will see men wearing shorts that doesn't cover their knees, but you will notice that they won't get attacked or something
But if someone notice he will obviously tell him that he shouldn't wear this but they will never be harsh over the man compare to the woman
    So, it's sad but true.
It's true that they will be harsh over the woman who accidentally her hair is showed very little compare to the man, they will never be that harsh for showing up his knees
Thank you so much for reading, have a good day !

JESUS HEALS THE WOMEN SUFFERING FROM MENSTRUATION DISORDER FOR 12 YEARS.
      👇
      Matthew 9:20-22
Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

Ok that verse was completely misinterpreted. English is a small language which doesn't have enough words to translate Arabic. beating in this sense can be seen two ways. 1. yelling at her. 2. Gently tapping her with his finger or a light plant like grass or sum k.

    • @imanchennit2646
      @imanchennit2646 3 года назад +63

@@MrYelly Nope. It's not sad. Muslim women aren't sheltered. In fact, the greatest scholar of all time was Aisha (ra) who was the prophet's wife k. And Khadija (ra) was one of the first muslims. She gave him lots of money as she was a wealthy business woman. And SHE was the one who proposed to him. And if you're talking about the hijab, if you read the quran then you would know that Allah COMMANDS MEN to lower their gaze. Hijab purpose isn't solely for men k. The hijab's purpose came to be because women of low status or slaves were taken advantage of at night. Since their attire was different from free women who could not be harassed because of their status( they had power to take the offenders to trial)The quran commanded the women to cover their heads and chest with a Khimar, the same way the free women did.
That way, offenders would not be able to differentiate between them at night and would think twice before harassing them k.
So yes the hijab's first purpose was to equalize btwn women of different status and to protect them from harassment.
Of course, some humans are evil no matter what, but It was an effective way to ward the creeps off at the time.

"It is true that you have rights over women, but the women also have rights over you." - Prophet Muhammad (s.a.a.w.s.) in his last sermon
Those saying she can't give this talk in other Muslim countries are just confirming her point exactly.
Just to make it clear for the easily confused, this is her point: These so-called Muslim countries have perverted the message of Islam so much because only men get to interpret the scripture. And that has nothing to do with scripture (i.e., the main source of the religion). BECAUSE WHEN YOU EXAMINE THE SCRIPTURE ITSELF, IT UPHOLDS THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN.
So yeah, I agree that some "Muslim" countries would frown upon this discussion. But THAT IS EXACTLY HER POINT. They frown upon women's rights because they are interpreting Islam wrongly.

Abir Abirus in reply to your first comment:
so Allah made men superior to women on a muscular level, Allah was being unequal then.
In response to the second comment in that case the Qur'an isn't truely inspired word from your god, it is at most a bit of that with alot of contextual teachings mixed in. A true book of Allah's wants (is he wanted equality) would say to pay men and women equal and make them both work equally. Also your point is invalid, that doesn't mean that men would get more, if they were paid equal then the man would use a bit on himself and pay the rest to the children and the women would use the same sized 'bit' on herself and pay the rest to the children. Even if the man worked and then payed more to the children later, this would be not reason for the initial bias.

+Aisha Hirani You are incredibly ignorant. First of all evolution is a theory in the scientific sense:
"A scientific theory is a *well-substantiated* explanation of some aspect of the natural world that is acquired through the scientific method and repeatedly tested and confirmed through observation and experimentation."
In other words, saying, saying evolution (not Darwin) is just a theory is like saying it is just the most well confirmed explanation there is. Evolution IS a fact, it's not a matter of belief, it's true whether you believe it or not. It is CLOSER to the truth than a "historical fact". "Historical facts" are actually things we know from what is written in books years ago, in other words those are eye witnesses account. Eye witnesses is one of the *lowest* form of evidence, while evolution has the *highest* forms of evidence backing it up. This book is just a book, and there are countless other books countaining more truths and knowledge than it. Yet it claims to hold the perfect true divine word, it's a disgusting pretentious book.

    • @Sayfway
      @Sayfway 8 лет назад +6

2CSST2 I just read your comment and thought I'd mention something.
The reason most Muslims reject the Darwinistic theory of Evolution is because it states (or is commonly thought to state) that humans evolved from apes, or another species entirely.
However, despite that most Muslim scholars reject this idea, they do agree that the first human is different in a variety of ways than the human today and has evolved through time.
We (many of the educated ones of us anyway) agree that man has evolved greatly, yet just reject the fact that we came from another species. Humans evolved in the structure of their skeletons, their brain capacity, their environmental tolerance, their tolerance of certain diets and conditions, their sizes even.
That's all I wanted to say. We believe in the concept of evolution, just not the idea that we evolved from another species entirely.

      BUT the previous verse say
( Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors.)
U see? You need to read it all ..
      Also our prophet momhamed say
" Whoever killed “Muaahadan” (a term used in Islamic state to refer to non-Muslim citizens), will not smell Paradis)
      ..
those terrorists are a few people of 2 billion muslim
And here what our prophet say about them
.. the Prophet (ﷺ) saying: Beware! The extremists perished, saying it three times.
The extreme happen in all religions cuz of people who follow them not the religion it self and i am not gonna mention Christianity cuz i am not here to put down any one
I am honestly sad but i can understand the effects of media ..
There are 57 muslim country and other countries with muslim majority
      middle east are going in

    What she does is, has and will always be done by religions and all group ideologies for that matter;
*1) generalize*, speak from authority and in terms of facts (like
the title of the video) on topics that are quite obviously matters of opinions and interpretations...
Also don't even mention clear longstanding disagreements and debates,
just tell your view and of those who agree.
*2) but only do that when it suits your argument;* so it's "Islam/Christianity/Feminism" when
you're talking about something positive and accepted by wider society and it's "in the name of Islam/Christianity/Feminism"
or "some people" or "many who misinterpret/don't understand their own belief"
(blind assertions with no proof why your interpretation is apparently the correct one and not a distortion itself)
when it's something negative that clashes with society.
This to white-wash your ideology and many of its supporters (not merely a minority of extremists)
and chalk it all up to "misunderstandings/abuse"
*3) disregard both traditional as well as widespread other interpretations*
(already done implicitly using method 1 and 2) with non sequiturs and other fallacies
like giving examples of yourself or other people who believe a nicer interpretation,
without any reason why that's a more 'true' interpretation than so many others have,
including many leaders and scholars in your own movement/ideology with
much more knowledge on the topics.
*4) mislabel secularism, social progress and liberalism (moving on from and re-interpreting problematic texts)*
as something that was the 'true' and correct interpretation all along,
    usually again with no proof.
*5)* if you do make at least an attempt (although disingenuously) at proving why it's not
changing problematic beliefs but really 'understanding' what was meant all along, you do it by
*ignoring clear and specific texts and teachings* and cherry-pick some ambiguous/less specific nicer parts that
either don't even disprove whatever problematic teaching you were trying to disprove or - at best - would
prove a contradiction, which you don't believe in so it's more likely that it wasn't actually talking about the same thing after-all..
..but who cares, the audience who buys into it wants to believe there's nothing wrong with these ideologies,
only with individual people, and isn't interested
in critical thinking and honestly looking at the root of problems to begin with.
    *6) misrepresent critics.*
One typically dishonest and fallacious one is saying the people
who don't blindly buy into the idea that your white-washed interpretation is the 'true' one
(and everybody else is just 'confused') is by likening those critics to the people who believe
in the problematic version, who you label ignorant, extremists and literalists or 'confused' while failing
to prove your own view was anything more than just a white-washed re-interpretation
(and often while you actually embrace them as true believers all the time, outside these disingenuous
    apologist PR talks).
Somehow in order to move on, we shouldn't reform problematic ideologies,
no, you have to believe - without proof, without question - that there was never
anything wrong with the ideology in question to begin with and the root of the problem
isn't (in part or mostly) the ideology and its texts but simply 'confused/misinformed' people,
or else you're just like those who hold those problematic views or a bigot/racist..somehow

Robert LC - Digital Artist That is pretty much how ideologies and ways of life that are thousands of years old still somehow manage to get by even in this day and age. It all boils down to the presence of God really - if the religion wasn't supposed to come from God and hence infallible there would be no problem just reforming it like it happens with any other political/philosophical belief.
But all in all, I think it's better this way. At least people kind of rationalize and de facto separate their personal need to believe in a higher spiritual truth from their common sense that tells them how they should live. Is it a reasoning full of No-True-Scotsmen (well... Muslims, in this case)? Absolutely, but the fallacy is introduced basically to justify a need for a conclusion that is somewhat irrational in itself - namely, the existence of God. A need that some people feel (though I personally don't). So it's still better this way, at least bend the ideology to serve the needs of mankind than the other way around, enslaving mankind to the literally interpreted words of a parchment written by some Middle Ages or Bronze Age guy.

And, I think that’s nothing compared to the other inequalities exist in it, all of which suggest that women are sexual tools that men should sometimes respect them. Islamic thought ruined so many women’s lives in my country. So whenever someone brings you a quote from Quran, don’t immediately ignore because it is against humanity. Just admit

So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. Probably the best saying in this video. People nowadays using Quran not as a guidance to be better, no. They're making the holy Quran to be a justification against their thinking of wrong doings. What rights women have in Islam? Instead they are suppressed:
    1. Wife beating - Surah An-Nisa - 34
    2. A man should not be asked why he beats his wife - Sunan Ibn Majah 1986
    3. Women equivalent to farmland
    - Surah Al-Baqarah - 223-233
    4. The prayer is severed by a woman, a dog and a donkey
    - Sunan Ibn Majah 950
    - Sahih Muslim 512d (1143)
    5. Lying to wife is allowed
    6. Man has right for divorce (Talaq) but women can only request (Khula) for divorce.
    These are very few examples.

    • @muhammedjohan
      @muhammedjohan 6 месяцев назад +4

      Wife beating - Surah An-Nisa - 34
Surah An-Nisa 4:34 mentions "beat," but it’s often misunderstood. It refers to a symbolic, light touch, like using a miswak (small toothbrush), not violence. The verse states: "As to those women on whose part you fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance)." (Quran 4:34) The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "The best of you are those who are best to their wives" (Tirmidhi 3895).
      2. A man should not be asked why he beats his wife - Sunan Ibn Majah 1986
This Hadith is taken out of context. The complete Hadith in Sunan Ibn Majah states: "Ibn 'Abbas said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Do not beat the female slaves of Allah.' Then 'Umar came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: 'The women have become bold towards their husbands. So permit us to beat them.' Then he permitted them to beat them. Then many women came to the family of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) complaining about their husbands. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Many women have gone around Muhammad's family complaining about their husbands, and they are not the best among you.'" This shows that the Prophet (PBUH) disapproved of such behavior.
      3. Women equivalent to farmland - Surah Al-Baqarah - 223-233
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:223 uses the analogy of farmland to emphasize nurturing and productive relationships within marriage. The verse states: "Your wives are a place of sowing of seed for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves. And fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good tidings to the believers." (Quran 2:223) This underscores mutual responsibilities and encourages respectful intimacy.
      4. The prayer is severed by a woman, a dog, and a donkey - Sunan Ibn Majah 950, Sahih Muslim 512d (1143)
These Hadiths highlight common distractions during prayer in the historical context of open spaces, not the worth of women. The Hadith in Sahih Muslim 512d states: "Abu Dharr reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'When any one of you stands for prayer and there is anything before him equal to the back of the saddle that covers him, and in case there is not before him (a thing) equal to the back of the saddle, his prayer would be cut off by (passing of) a woman, a donkey, and a black dog.'" This is about maintaining focus during prayer. The Prophet (PBUH) treated women with utmost respect, saying, "The best of you are those who are best to their wives" (Tirmidhi 3895).
      5. Lying to wife is allowed
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "He is not a liar who reconciles between people and conveys something good or says something good." (Sahih Muslim 2605) This permits lying only for reconciliation and maintaining harmony, not for deception.
      6. Man has right for divorce (Talaq) but women can only request (Khula) for divorce
Islam provides mechanisms for both men and women to seek divorce. The Quran states: "And if a woman fears from her husband contempt or evasion, there is no sin upon them if they make terms of settlement between them - and settlement is best." (Quran 4:128) Women can seek divorce through khula, returning the dowry to the husband. The Prophet (PBUH) supported women's rights to seek divorce if unhappy in marriage, as seen in the Hadith where the wife of Thabit bin Qais sought divorce from him (Sahih Bukhari 5273).

I moved from England to Pakistan and a few years later from a city to a village and right now I am a 14 year old girl who is treated differently because I am a girl in this stupid village.i can't go out of my house though my younger brothers can. I have to wear full body clothes which should be loose on us. I have to wear a big piece of cloth to cover my hair even though it's ridiculously hot here like over 40 degree Celsius in summer. Our parents treat us differently. Even talking to a boy or being in the same room is considered shameless. Here beating women up is considered normal. And in my school most students are boys because girls are born to get Married here. I often look at girls doing really hard chores boys should be doing but the men here are just smoking and shuffling around aimlessly and spending thier days having fun. Women are supposed to obey men are treated as if they are just there to take care of their children and do household chores. Once a boy in my class insulted me and I talked back.....my teacher called my parents to school and told them that I had an argument with this boy in my class and I talked back to him....so they should teach me to be respectful of them......from that day one I realized I was born in the wrong place and time and am always staying stuff like I shouldn't have been born a girl ......when we go out even my siblings start telling me to cover my head....... There's alot more too....in this country a women can't roam around or can't wear tights or can't wear clothes that are above their knees.... A man can select who he weds but not a women.... Girls are getting wedded at a younger age then 20 in which they should be studying to people twice their age ........teachers in my class told me multiple times that even though girls are getting good grades in alot of subjects recently......boys have a higher IQ level then us.....it just pisses me off that when I ask why this all is happening...they say it's the will of god.....this is not true so stop believing everything you here....it is not supposed to be this way......oh and I hate my life........ because this is starting to happen to me....

I am so sorry you have to go through all of that, sister. Get out of Pakistan when you can and come to America. Just know that although women have equal rights outside of the home and in the law in America, we are still treated like slaves by our husbands within the home. Almost all of us work full time jobs, because things are too expensive to raise a family on one income, but we are still expected to do all of the housework, raise the children, take the children wherever they need to go, do the laundry, and do all of the cooking, take care of our cars, and do the yard work, while the men sit and look at the tv or their phone after work. There is no place on Earth where men treat women equally within marriage. Religion is not the problem, men are. The only problem with religion is that it is run by men. God is good. He loves us equally. It is NOT God's will for us to be treated like that, it is men's will. It is for this reason, I have no religion (although I believe in God and Jesus) and no husband, and I will never marry or be in a relationship with another man. Whether they are muslim or not, they very seldom treat us as equals. But here we can choose to be in a relationship or not, if we get into a marriage where we are treated as a slave we can divorce without judgement, and men go to jail if they physically abuse women here. I pray for you to make it to a country where you can make your own choices and be your true self. Hang in there, girl.

Here is an idea: Why don't you go do a video on the church and put up verses that tell Christians to commit genocide...the ones that told the conquistadors it was okay to butcher your ancestors in the Americas because the "savages" didn't have souls.
Spanish Central America is the deadliest place in the world for women being killed due to domestic violence as well as drug gang related violence.
It has become a cliche that Eastern Europeans regularly beat their women in Vodka related violence; although alcohol abuse is usually a big reason for divorce.
I grew up watching COPS -- do you know how many domestic violence cases shown on a daily basis?
My point is not to point out Christian or Jewish or Hindu or Budhist faults....but rather that Humans make mistakes and all religious texts have been corrupted over the centuries with Human adding and taking away from the true message of peace found in the religious text -- except Quran -- 1400 years of preservation of each and every letter.

You should read sholars interpretation that the verses refers only in the circle of family. Since men possesses strength and physical capability compared to women, they have the responsibility as a provider, protector of the family. Because of that, he should be considered as the leader and be respected by his wife and have authority over her. But still men and women has equal judgement in the eye of God. @@farahanimnajla193 So 'God judges differently based on gender'! Your statement changes nothing - you can't have it both ways. Your last sentence is a complete contradiction of what the Koran says and what happens in Islamic society. You also overlook inteligence - being physically strong in caveman days may have been an important attribute, but in today's societies intelligence has a far greater value. It is an established fact that females form the greatest percentile of those humans with an IQ of 100 while males dominate the percentile of those with the lowest IQ. So why would a God choose to place authority with those of physical strength and grant them with greater financial assets. Was not Mohammed's first wife Khadija more intelligent and graced with better business prowess than Mohammed himself? Why would a true god give twice as much of every inheritance to men over women? Do you truly believe men are "superior" to women as the Koran tells you?

Men have the authority over their wives never mean that women are degraded. Women has the right over men. Since men have the authority over women in MARRIAGE because he provides them, women has the mutual right too to be provided from head to toe. She doesnt need to work unless she want to. It is her right to gain money, to conduct a business and men will never have the right to touch their property even a single cent without permission. That is mutual right? @@straighttalking2090 It's okay. I am a Muslim woman btw. I never challenged the word of God. Instead, i have the true interpretation of it. Since you are not Muslim, I'd like to tell you that certain verse of Quran cannot have literal meaning of it as each verse revealed to certain people and certain circumtances. To understand the real meaning that lies on each of it, we need to refer to the scholars who has the knowledge and authority to interprate. Those scholar has to reach the criteria and be very very good in related types of knowledge including Arabic language, ulum Quran (knowledge of Quran,) ulum hadith (knowledge of hadith) etc. Since, you are reading the translation not the interpretation of the Koran, you might need some help in understanding it.
As i stated in my first comment, most of the scholars interpretation of the verse that you stated, men are only regarded as a leader to his wife. We always need leader in any group or foundation. It doesnt mean that men are superior, it means that men through his strenght and capability, his responsiblity is greater. And women are also in charge in this role. Women are the supporter, her intellectual, thinking and emotional sensitivity which is greater than men is needed in every lead of men. Men can never lead without women. We can see this in the basic foundation of society; family. A great father and a loving, knowledgeable mother is the best combination to their children.
And also, in marriage, men are not allowed to hit his wife even if the wife is afraid to be nusyuz in the way of hurting her. The hit stated in Koran according to the scholars is just a simple act without men hurting them, without pain. This is the way of advising her if only she dont mind your verbal advise.

Correct, correct, correct. Islam is not a mere religion. Its a way of life. Unfortunately many cultures interpret the Arab culture as Islam. It is not the right way. Islam is not the religion for Arabs. Its the religion for all global cultures.
Look at Malaysia for example. It may not be perfect... yet... but Islam is viewed now as a way of life and not influenced or bound by culture nor tradition. There are those who still,, politically, protect themselves under the claimed shroud of Islam. But the new generation who are all educated now will not sway to that music no more. This is the IT generation. Woman and men contribute their talents, intelligent, and efforts side by side, equally, without prejudice and without hindrance towards progress and the betterment of the society. Many may say.. too little too late... but in Islam... Its never too little. Never too late. Unless you are still asleep.

Quran doesn't condemn Christians or any other religion. It condemns bad deeds and polytheism. Anyone who submits to God and follows God is Muslim (the Arabic word for submitter). Not to forget, it also condemns believing in trinity. My colleague was Christain who believe in one God [the father], and he believed Jesus [peace be upon him] was a man and prophet. He said he is not Muslim, but according to the Quran is blessed. According to these Quran verses, only believing in one God and doing good deeds the condition of salvation:
[Quran 2:62] Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.
[Quran 103:1-3] By the time. Indeed mankind is in loss. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
Quran confirms the teaching and the book of the prophets, such as Jesus, Moses, Ibrahim (peace be upon them). Confirm the teaching of previous prophets and their follower to accept this[Quran] message because it is the same as before.
[Quran [2:41] And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me.
NOTE: Christians! not to forget, when the Quran speaks of prophets teaching is what Jesus himself said. Today, almost all Christian follow Paul or Mathew or John. What Jesus [peace be upon his] said clearly contradict with the teaching of Paul or Mathew. For instance, Jesus [peace be upon him] said to follow the old Testament, wine, adultery... so on are bad deed. Paul said he is legal what was not legal before.
This is confusing can lead someone to think that Islam approves what is in today Bible [Teaching of Paul, Mathew, John...].

@@learn001 I think you have been misinformed about Christianity. We follow the teachings of Jesus, and Paul and the apostles who knew Jesus proclaim him as the Lord of Life who triumphed over death. Jesus is the second person of the trinity (so your friend who didn't believe in the trinity is not actually a Christian). The quran says that it confirms the scriptures that have gone before, but this is untrue as it denies the deity of christ and his death and resurrection. (and please don't say it was corrupted as there are copies of all the scriptures before the time of mohammed and they are the same as the ones we have today. Muslims cannot produce any evidence that they were corrupted. And surely the quran, if it was written by an all-knowing creator would have said 'the quran confirms the scriptures that went before but they have now been corrupted'???) also the quran says not to take Jews and christians as friends and says that Jews and Christians are 'the worst of people'

In Western countries, women who exercise their rights to the end speak of the "beauty" of Islam. I don't know if I'm upset or smiling. As a former Muslim woman, I must say that there is no such thing as women's rights in Islam. All rights are vested in the man. Permits, which are called women's rights, are possible only with the consent of the woman's husband. In Islamic countries governed by Sharia law, women are well aware of this.

"do not let your brother oppress another"
Basically means everyone is equal and you aren't allowed to oppress another on basis of gender and if somebody does so you must stop them.
So when people say islam oppresses women, this is the answer that it is a basic order that oppression is wrong so when someone is dominating a woman forcefully, islam is not reason.

Adults with imaginary friends should be challenged when they make claims about their imaginary friends, especially when they promote their imaginary friend's recipe for the well-being of society. TED needs to hear that these ideas are rejected by its audience. And, by the way:
