Don't care what anyone says, I've got a 91 C4 and it's just the plastic fantastic. Goes hard, corners hard, 10 tons of fun, and turns heads everywhere.
Where did they get this C4 from? I don't recognize the rear view mirrors, the rear bumper reflectors, etc. I noticed a sticker on it that identifies it with being in Oman at one point. Does anybody know where this C4 came from?
The later C4 with the LT1 motor ran hot. The fans don't turn on until the engine hits 230 degrees. Sort of freaked me out first time I looked at my Corvette's temp and thought omg it is overheating. To "test" the fans turn on the A/C. That will turn the fans on at a lower temp. They are silly cars. Hard to get into and hard to get out of. They get terrible gas mileage. But then they are a Corvette and most everyone loves the look and they are fun to drive. No good reason to like the vroom vroom and squeal of the tires when you hit the gas. Drive mine as regular transportation in the summer... very durable vehicles.
@@geneyus6411 I just let the LT1 run at the temperature it is designed for. No issues that I've found. Running "cold" will make it run a rich fuel mixture as the computer compensates for the cold. All ready the computers are our overlords.
@@nikkoalpha2 Most run to hot from neglect of maintaining the cooling system, debris around the radiator. Those 1 inch wide radiators with plastic tanks are a joke!
you lost there he said he wanted to paint it and you said you would have to charge 6k at the end you should have said for 6k you will paint it what he wants
@@trbossdoggy The work done was minimal and mostly cosmetic in nature. The car looked like trash even after the “restoration”. Those pieces of plastic chrome under the hood were the ultimate Autozone special. Also, C4 corvettes are known for being one of the worst, if not the worst generation of corvette. If you watch the whole episode, you’ll see what I’m talking about.
It was the 80s, 200hp in 84 was top tier numbers, cars pushing 300hp were supercars for the time, also the 84 was the worst year C4, it was rhe only year it came with the garbage Crossfire Injection

That wasn't the whole episode, I sure miss Ed.
They never post full episodes lol. Mike is top greedy.

Just purchase the SPAL Fans, then no more issues, not a big deal!

LT1’s were designed to run hot. No problem but most cannot accept hotter operating temperatures. Owned a ‘96 (Second one) and love them!

Had many C4’s and always go back to the 84. I love it
Mataram o programa . O edd saiu de desgosto . Colocaram mais dois bobos da corte e agora apelam para vídeos antigos
Heap.
Pick a more desirable year.
Damn brits
Actually predictions show that outside the special editions the 84 will rise in value for being the essential mark 1 and saviour of corvette
200bhp from a big engine like that 😂 my diesel golf has more power than that thing
