As an enthusiastic 19 year old, I talked my dad out of buying another Volvo and into a new Audi 100 2.2e in gun metal with 16” BBS RS alloys. He loved it and still talks about it with great affection. Great job guys.
Loving the enthusiasm for the Audi 100 Avant. Will is a pretty good panel beater and painter, considering the metallic paint is more difficult than solid colours. Great job repairing the Instrument Cluster. It certainly pays to get specialist assistance, when needed. Let's see some other Audi models, especially the manual transmission quattro B5 A4 1.8T. Bonus points if it's an Avant. The TT 8N Episode was bang-on too!
I have to be honest I don’t understand the business model advertising the car straight away ect, and every respray they do is hideous 😂 But I mean that light heartedly because I can not stop watching I’m hooked! Great pair of chaps with actual passion and no expensive builds or anything wild so massive respect i enjoy the show. It’s great keep up the good works
Are you Gordan Ramsey with side burns 😂 love your channel guys love your friendship, keep it going thank you for giving me something incredible to watch
I did both LCD screens on my lap timer and outside temp screen for my Mercedes 190E 2.3-16, such a good feeling to see them working knowing the all fail at some point, good for another 35 years :)

Again - brilliant production thank you so much. I’ll google some time because I’m interested, but if this is what it appears, a bespoke production for RUclips - it BLOWS my socks off - well done all involved.
Back in 1988. My dad had an Audi 200 Quattro in a very similar colour. Think it was Bordeaux. What an absolute flying machine. It was years ahead of anything on the road. We did numerous trips to Spain it it up it loved motorways And the build quality, even then Was unbelievable.. Good fond memories of the legendary Quattro❤
Yeh i had one, got it out of someone’s hedge in their driveway “for freeeee” rotten battery tray compartment leaking into the passengers floor well because people don’t clean out their drain holes, a flat battery and four flat tyres was all i could see wrong. Dog’d it up lovely job went through it’s mot with part worn tyres, brakes and secondhand battery. Blow it up 6 mths later but it did love them revs 😂. Just took her to the weigh bridge and sold the wheels and battery later on 🤔 profit.. got me money back and a drink.
I remember growing up in the same model of car, Audi 100 Avant. My dad actually drove a white Audi Quattro!, he couldn’t affordone of them. Bought on the NAFI shop there was a offer. No Vat to pay , as my dad was in the forces. I remember the day my dad and i went to Lndon Audi to pick up the brand new Audi 100 avant in brown!. Brings so much memories, seeing you guys refurbish your Audi 100. If i had known I would of bid twice as much as what you managed to her for. 🙂
It is always a great day when the old man takes his son to the car dealer, to pick up a car was the most fun, but i always enjoyed it, if it was for repairs, or just to watch new cars at the dealership
Always loved these, apart from the hollow headrests 😅 they were always something special when they were about on the roads in the 80’s and that beautiful 5 pot engine! A lovely car from when cars were cars, excellent work saving this great piece of motoring history from a great period. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had one of these as my first car when i was 17 in 2007. Mine was loaded! Turbo 2.3, quattro and manual transmission. It was such a cool car! In canada it was badged an Audi CD5000 .. i wish i had kept it around as they have shot way up in value especially one in the spec i had it.. ah well! Im just glad to have had the experience
Got a bit nostalgic on this. Our '85 Maestro got written off and my dad bought a car he finally liked; an '83 100CD. I could almost smell it again watching this
I hate to suggest this but if the water bottle has burst at the seam, could it mean that the head gasket has blown and is sending pressure back in the system ?
i think cars like this i recon were either too good to scrap, or PX value at the time was peanuts for what it is. So it was just mothballed for a few years. I have seen a Rover 827 mk1 on youtube with the same story, that car was actually put away and still had the original brake pads on! laugh was the car had only did 18k or around about that sort of mileage. That was put away back in 2000, lads put a new fuel pump and gave it a service, and it was good to go.
I had a B2 Passat wagon kinda similar but one generation older I think. It's flashier Audi cousin was the 80 or 5+5 in Australia. I love the quirky look of it cause the engine sits so far forward but I've read that it was the cause of steering problems. Mine was the GLD version the 1.5 diesel also found in mk 1 golf then everything else was Audi B2. I loved it the seats folded flat and fuel economy was amazing. It was slow off the mark but pretty responsive north of 60. 140 was its top speed.
Watch these shows and you can learn a lot about fixing cars !!! Or if you don't do it yourself at least it helps you to understand what the mechanic is doing and why !
It’s the only Car programme where hours spent painting a car but are frightened to show the finished paint or even talk about it !! Chops garage does a decent job with rattle cans. Shocking paintwork
How can overheating be 'cured' just by replacing the busted coolant reservoir? It looked like a milkshake in the old one, which tells me that the header gasket was not 'gasketing' anymore.. Also, good job 'undenting' the car. but the paintjob.. nothing wrong with a homemade paintjob, i once painted my car black with a roller lol.. but guys.. just remove the hood, front fenders and doors to paint those parts. Or if that is too much of a hassle, at least remove the grille, lights and bumpers.
I have an '89 200 avant! Manual 10vT! here in the states! can I ship it to you to fix?! maybe you'll have access to all parts needed closer to where the car originated!?
I have Audi 100 and i hade same exact issues, cluster, handbrake, issue with paint, window motor and headliner.. Also my engine has noisy lifters but it runs good. It is probably standard issue with this model.
I really love to watch your program and I am happy every time there's a new episode. I get the feeling, that you really and sincerely like each other, and it shows right through the television screen. Not like the fake show Wheeler Dealers. I never liked Mike. He was false. I had a white 100 sedan and it was a big car. Unfortunately the sunroof jammed, I had no heater, the driver's door handle broke, the ignition barrel was defective, front passenger electric window not working (was an easy fix), radiator needed replacing and someone had disconnected the little monitoring system (probably advanced for its day) display in the binnacle. Twice a year for many years I attended a camera market and there would be a white Audi 100 Avant parked (from one of the vendors) until the last time just before covid it had been replaced by a big Chrysler 300.

These pair of friends are not trying to make a living they’re trying to make a lighthearted tv program by messing around with odd motors that no one else can bother with and hopefully find someone to buy them, before they get fitted for a straight jacket.I was a dealer and mechanic for 50 years and I never saw flippers like these two.But they are amusing and raise my blood pressure almost as Mike Brewer and that’s not good but it’s car crash tv good luck to both of them
Brother in law had one as company car when warranty was twelve months. At 13 months the fuel system had to be renewed by Audi at £1000 and three months later a full auto box rebuild for another £1000. Enter a new 5 series.
I don't understand why people are interested in old Fords but not old Audis. The quality difference is ladies apart. I'm not just talking about Cossies, either. Any old Escort or Sierra seems to fetch silly money. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.

That came out really nicely. A job very well done on a great car. I’ve always liked these

It's bonkers but it's entertainment, there's no way it would fund 2 families and their garage costs, vehicles, insurance and pension contributions
It's a TV show.

My uncle replaced the hollow headrests with the hollow "meshed" insert headrests from a 1980's Alfa Romeo GTV6. Subtle.
Baffled!! While in bodywork mode they left a whacking great dent in the tailgate and rear o/s door 😮

I've just looked at the DVLA MOT History Check and the vehicle does not appear to have turned a wheel for a few years, judging by the mileage quoted.
