When the IC sends a pulse it has a voltage you can detect with the same setting you check your battery voltage. It should spike to about 1v or higher every pulse.
Hello, have a couple of broken ESA900.231, which have been used in some high end watches like the Breitling Pluton Jupiter 2100, 2300, 2400 and 2700 or Heuer Carrera Twin Time 371.253, 980.024 and 980.027. The movement has an analog and a digital part with time, date and stop watch. In most cases the digital part is showing crazy numbers, because the movement suffered a short circuit caused during battery battery exchange without gloves. Wondering if you can make a video of that. Further a lot of digital watches have broken of pusher contacts. It would be great, if you could show, how to solder them back on. Also wondering, if you have a shop and if you repair digital watches for a fee. Don't know, how to contact you. Leaving a comment here with the hope you'll respond. Thanks!
Hi. Great channel and very illustrative videos. Thank you. Let me ask you a question, please. I have a Seiko C515 that works fine but sometimes when I press the light button the screen freezes. Do you know why this happens? I have some experience other digital watches from Seiko and Casio but this problem is new for me. Regards.
hi very great videos from you then help me so much to rebird a citizen wingman 8945 but i need your help on analog part becasue after disassembly the analog part for lubricant watch crows after reassembly when i go to set the hour the hand of minute go counterclockwise:-O
Hi This might be long shot but I have a old citizen watch my father used to own. I wanted to service the mechanical side and I can't fro the life of me place the rotor in the center. It keeps getting stuck to the sides with the magnetics. Is there a specific or special tool I'm missing? Thanks in advance
I don't use a speciffic tool, aligning brodges to wheel pinions is always frustraiting. I use a micrroscope and a thinned toothpick to gently nudg it around as I place the brodge but no special tool for this.
Hi, you should find a donor watch and hope the coil is intact. The speciffic part may exist, you can identiffy the serial number of the part by entrring the watch cali re number in the boley website.
Can I ask a question I have a Casio sw110 the problem is no display I ac reset and as long as I old it I get perfect display I release and black lcd a few pointers and we’re to start would be great oscillator maybe ?
ricky n Uh, I never worked on that module before but from your description the module isn't getting power and when you do the AC reste it gets it from there. Check battery connection.
Intelligent watch specialist. That's a gift and talent Bro.
Thank you for the kind comment.
Just what I'm looking for. Good timing. Keep up the good work!
Will do :)
Great video! You can actually check the pulse from the board with a multimeter as well. The oscilloscope isn't necessary but it definitely helps!
Digital Horology hmmmm, not sure how that works, on what should the multimeter be set?

Brilliant! I need an oscilloscope!
You MUST get one michael, a good piece of kit, can do more on watches than what you saw in the video.
Very well explained. Thanks.
Thank you
Great video! Is it possible to fix missing segments on the LCD? The corner of the LCD on my vintage Timex ana/digi is black. Thank you!
One problem, you have analogue and digital mixed up
Analogue is the MECHANICAL part
Can you do some videos on the citizen 8946? I have one that doesn’t work but I’m not sure how to trouble shoot and fix

Hello and greetings from India... how can i contact you ?
What are your thoughts on twincept line from Casio?
Well they don't speak to me. The modules are interesting but could have done better cases.
Your mulitmeter has LCD bleed.
Yeah, I left it in the sun at one point and that happened, works fine though but I get the annoyance
@@VintageDigitalWatches Might be no problem for you to fix it lol
