    Excellent info! Thanks so much. I've shared your link with my stroke client and a few others. I'm a medical massage therapist and love your stuff. Your philosophy is so right on. Not every physio exercise is right for everybody and may contribute to their existing problem. :)

    I have fibromyalgia and I also hurt my shoulders a few years back over exercising. The only thing that was found was inflammation in my shoulder. I haven't been able to get rid of shoulder pain and now my lower back has been suffering. It hurts really bad especially when I do simple ab workouts. The only exercise I have found that helps is walking. It's so hard to get in shape with all of this pain.

    This is awesome content. I will definitely be checking out some of the other related videos.
    I just purchased one of those cell phone video game plank triangular boards with the elevated ball-joint base and its been really helpful in core strength training.
    However, sometimes using it during the experience of current back pains seems to make things tighter, but not necessarily less painful; your videos really explain why.
    Thank you for the information. Knowledge is power! 💪🏾

    Thanks Matt for some more great infor for me. Luckily, I don't have back pain even though I had two compression fractures 15 years ago. However, I have been working on Josh's Anterior Pelvic Tilt Program online and I noticed that my quads are really tight. They make my knee caps hurt when I try to squat or raise my hips from the floor. I have been trying to stretch them but it does not seem to be working. Thoughts??

    Hi Matt, Got any advice on night cramps, they kill me every night

    • @arlo247
      @arlo247 5 лет назад

      Baths before bed!! Epsom salt and sodium bicarbonate in them, as well as essential oils like chamomile (and others) to help ease pain and cramps. Massage muscles before bed, light stretching, use magnesium spray on area before bed- gently massaging in, and even a heating pad on medium with clothing in-between your skin and it while you sleep. Some suggestions, hope one or more helps! Baths help though!

    Ive had lower back pain for 5 months from running too much and nothing else (5k every other day)..
    It's improving but slowly but still painful and not enough strength to begin running.. I'm just walking and doing light standing stretches, I've attempted a plank today, managed to do 30 seconds but it was a struggle to manoeuvre into the position... do you recommend to continue and build up core???? My lower back feels weak and need to build strength , any advice be appreciated thanks

    • @Uprighthealth
      @Uprighthealth  4 года назад +1

      Hi Steven, definitely recommend you build up *slowly* and *gradually. Always pushing your body a bit more each day or week.

    And what we can do for abdominals when the plank can't help?

    • @Uprighthealth
      @Uprighthealth  5 лет назад +2

      Hollow hold progressions and/or reverse crunches are pretty good simple starters. But you definitely want to make sure you're training to address asymmetries before you try to hammer your abs to get a six pack.

    Hi Mat, Plank exercise? you say it will not necessarily work , so what will. you are not really answering the question for lower back pain

    • @Uprighthealth
      @Uprighthealth  5 лет назад +2

      We cover that starting at 3:48. It would take a 2 hour video to cover every possibility ... and we would probably still miss some things. The Back Pain Fix program provides a pretty clear, simple roadmap for those who want to troubleshoot their own bodies and train out of back pain.
