@@chihangho5377 I think he is a fantastic player, however a couple of reasons why I didn't pick him. 1. Blair Kinghorn covers wing, fullback, centre & out half (has played all these positions professionally) and has been arguably the inform player for Toulouse, winning the European Cup. He is also a Goalkicker, which provides cover if Russell, Farrell or Smith is injured or having an off day. 2. Freddie Stewart covers Fullback, Wing and even possibly centre (he is a huge man, so should fit in seamlessly). He is solid under the high ball, and provides a ball carrying threat, that Keenan does not (due to his size) 3. I would swap out Graham or possibly ring rose for Keenan, but then you lose out somewhere else. Graham provides something different from all the other wingers (DVM, Lowe, Hansen) who are all big men, and great ball carrying ability. What they all lack is out and out speed and agility that Graham has. So I think its important to have a varied player pool to pick from. Putting Keenan in his place would mean losing out on the spark Graham can provide. 4. Lastly by taking out Ringrose, you lose possibly your best defender in the centres, and also a centre which provides something different from all other centres, by being a better reader of the game, better pace and an ability to play on the wing, 12 & 13 if needed, which Aki and Tuipulotu do not posses.

Sorry, but where is Hugo Keenan? Arguably the best and most consistent FB in the past 3-4 years?
@@chihangho5377 I think he is a fantastic player, however a couple of reasons why I didn't pick him.
1. Blair Kinghorn covers wing, fullback, centre & out half (has played all these positions professionally) and has been arguably the inform player for Toulouse, winning the European Cup. He is also a Goalkicker, which provides cover if Russell, Farrell or Smith is injured or having an off day.
2. Freddie Stewart covers Fullback, Wing and even possibly centre (he is a huge man, so should fit in seamlessly). He is solid under the high ball, and provides a ball carrying threat, that Keenan does not (due to his size)
@@thenordicescape the fact Darge is not in your squad tells me you
Only watch the premiership
@@gorgu08 I am actually Irish, and don't really watch the Premiership so no your wrong. Darge is a quality player, however please advise who you would remove and put in Darge instead
@@thenordicescape I heavily disagree on the Steward aspect. He has the turning circle of a moon and is nowhere near as quick. Keenan is a far better attacking threat at 15 and unlike Steward, actually plays for his country.
Ireland to DOMINATE the Lions Squad? *
* Fixed
Fair enough no quarter finals in a Lions tour.
Ach, this is your second comment. I thought you were off?
😂😂😂😂
@@glasgowgrad6277 It’s my first comment actually 😂
watch this space - Bayliss will come through properly at the 6N's - and suddenly Doris will not look quite so much of a nailed on choice at 8
sorry but no, Doris is currently the best 8 in the world, Bayliss isn't making that jump this 6N. Thistle coloured glasses.
Right, so this guy is going to overtake the only non South African to be nominated for WPOTY he must be unbelievably good. where is all the noise about him
Bayliss would want to win something on a international level first
@johnnydavitt7228 I'm sure he will get past a QF
@@SAnd-pd1ou are you joking Scotland got grouped 😂
Then it should be called The Celtic Squad lol.
Wow shane saying new rock star at Ten. Not just the English media and fans hyping up the players then.
Leinster hack putting it out in the media to make it sound like facts, that boy is exactly that, nearly reds a red and then puts 2 out on the full plus forward passed with no pressure, etc against the worst Fiji performance in 2 years, rock star he is not only in Horgan´s oversized Blue toned Head 🤣
@@MorrisdeSaucerabsolute nonsense. He is a kid but he had the skill and maturity to overcome some howlers and grew into the game brilliantly. If you can’t appreciate that then you are as blinkered as much as you are accusing Horgan. Get a grip!!
@@MorrisdeSaucer Do think he gets a bit overexcited by his own team . Which to be fair is okay by me. Does sound a bit disrespectful towards Jack Crowley though. 🏴
34:13 Embarrassing listening to you fawning over Nord VPN. Just like your Scottish guest has managed to tow the “Allianz Stadium” line after 2 months of it being called that and best part of 200 years as Twickenham! By the way surfing the web becomes a nightmare with Nord VPN and you’re constantly asked to pass a test to prove you’re not a robot! Other than that, good show!
Can you put aki at 12 and tuipolotu at 13?
Start either one at 12 and have the other guy on the bench - both are world class playmakers and destructive runners.
Dunno. Tui is a fkn serially great player, great captain and great with his feet. Aki is a tremendous player. Tui gives you a ghost 10 in the 12 slot.
Will there be ANY Welsh players?
Gareth Edwards maybe.
Probably by it will be token picks for inclusion reasons
Lake would be there I think, but not starting, and possibly Morgan but that wouldn’t be a cert
@johnwakley7165 Depends what way Farrell looks at it. He might see the Welsh side dragging them down, or he might say he's got to take someone from Wales
Token
Plus Redpath.
Ireland are 10-0 against Scotland in the last 10 fixtures.
I'll take the entire Irish 23 in any combined squad, cheers.
Scotland get another crack of Ireland this year but considering 4 Irish forwards went down and both hookers in 2023 and they didn't get near Ireland how big the gap is still maybe not appreciated
True, but let's re-visit this comment in February next year. Remember that we've beaten England at Twickenham, France in Paris and Wales in Cardiff in the last 2/3 years. Your turn is coming.
And I say that as someone who watched Scotland spanking Ireland for 20 years. These things come to an end.
@@glasgowgrad6277I mean to compare Ireland over the last three years to England wales over the last three years is laughable mate you beat France when they were in a rebuilding stage right before they hit there stride please win a six nations before thinking about Ireland in dublin
@glasgowgrad6277 don't forget to list all those big wins against NZ and SA too....
Oh.
@@danielokeeffe6358 😂
"new rockstar at 10" right... I all I saw was a player who looked like he was out of his depth trying to force a score with almost every single possession resulting in a game with absolutely zero control or structure,
If that's all you saw then I wouldn't trust your judgement.
all the irish backs are a step down apart from JGP.
Yet they can´t beat Ireland in 11 games, how does that work then Sir???
What can we say - you have your opinion, we have ours - oh, we also have the stats/results on our side.
@@MorrisdeSaucer i said backs not team.
@@fawltyoldboybasil.2178 so which of the irish backs are better than the sco one other than jgp???
@@MorrisdeSaucerYes they can. Ireland have won 10 on the bouncr but Scotland won the one before that. So they can win in 11 games, but not 10.
You can always count on an Irish pundit to only have eyes for Irish players. Boring!
Some nonsensical stuff from Horgan again. South Africa had a tour against teams all ranked outside the top 5 of course thry can rotate. Nobody who can challenge them is intimidated in fact, I'd say the opposite they relish that battle
It's not nonsensical, they easily have the best depth of any team in world rugby.
@SMacCuUladh Depth is fair, but they haven't played anyone challenging.
Scotland building for 6nations win, so that means 3rd or 4th position and Gregor whinging about being hard done by in 2 games. Finn Russell will be the only Scottish born player picked for lions.
it's hilarious reading about the only SCOTTISH born player from an irishman, The amount of non irish sportsmen who have represented Ireland over the years is legendary, not just at rugby but football as well, remember the old joke?, drink a pint o Guinness and you qualify for Ireland.
You're talking rubbish. Zander Fagerson will go for sure , Kinghorn will go too as will Darge.
Think your forget 3 out of your 5 best players are from New Zealand 😂😂😂 James Lowe,JGP and bundee Aki. Have a word with yourself
Chuck in Mac Hansen and Finlay Bealam that’s a third of your starting line up
Fagerson, Kinghorn and Graham should all be selected as well.
Smith is better than Finn
The boy from the Philippines can't tackle😂
His kicking off the tee has probably got better than Russells now. Every other aspect of the game he isn't even close.
@@davidkelly499 I think he's electric....
