@@mindgames50 just because a guy doesn't have emotions, doesn't mean that he isn't gonna have any sense of taste, or hasn't so far in his life become familiar with the taste of salt yet...
The whole underlying premise of Seinfeld is that Jerry (and to an extent George, Kramer and Elaine) is a likeable sociopath who has a very small range of emotions and does not care about anyone, including his parents, his relationships and his closest friends. The series finale really illustrates it perfectly, when the four of them all laugh at someone being victimized in the street, and after being arrested still can't comprehend what they did wrong 🤣
well, sociopath is not necessarily a bad word when you look at THIS society. I mean, I'm not saying that living in conflict with many of the society aspects is a good way of living, rather I'm saying that this society doesn't really need you to be a good, thoughtful and kindhearted person, quite the contrary sometimes, a modern person filled with consumerism and social networking is usually an empty person. It's the repetition of negative and disappointing experiences that can drive a person to a point of turning OFF the emotions. It's really a self defense system, I guess.
And that's why the finale is brilliant. It's like the real world finally catches up to them and there are finally some consequences for their behavior. And yet, we ultimately see that they STILL don't learn anything from it 😂
Cut out the best part with Jerry professing his love while Kramer comes in for the hose. And Jerry is silently smiling walking towards George and he recoils like it's a vampire looking at the sun.
I wonder how intentional it was getting an actor from Full House -- perhaps the most sappy sitcom of the last 50 years -- in an episode where Jerry got in touch with his emotions.
Jerry is a terrible actor 😂 But he cannot not be funny. A thing I love about Seinfeld is making the stand-up comedian who doesn't act, a hilarious character
I always find him breaking character to be funny. Like when he couldn't hold it together when Newman ripped the US post office jacket he was wearing. "You're a disgrace to the uniform".
@@ghostship7823 Not "interesting", it was intentional: Jerry is the first to admit he can't act and give all props to the remaining cast - main, recurring and guest stars. "Seinfeld" fans are dumber by the minute...
I don't think it's possible to take back a proposal immediately after the girl says yes. The second she says yes, they're engaged and it's a binding agreement. And the fact that Jerry proposed for nothing was a big disappointment. It was George's fault for scarring Jerry out of his emotional state
She had a pretty face that looked better depending on the makeup and hairdo. I think she was flat chested though, and they always had her wearing bulky or loose fitting clothes that didn't reveal her figure.
The Absolute Best Part of this: The Actual Jerry Seinfeld. The Real One. How come no one EVER asks him how he met his wife? Lmao. I watch these videos for the writing, then I remember who he is in real life. Lmao. Found true love on her honeymoon. Makes Larry David look like Ghandi. Lmao
At some point I was too emotional, now too rational, both can destroy relationships and your mental and physical well being. Now am 37… i am learning to not worry .
I have not ever experienced anger, but I have simulated it at times when I understood that those around me were expecting me to. So I understand the struggle.
This is actually a perfect example of how some women draw emotion out of men for the gratification of their own egos, lol… But, to be fair, men also do a fair bit of this to women in the process of trying to attract them.

I heard her when I read that!

the look on jerry's face, lol
Everything was put together so perfectly, the timing and everything.
The speed at which George hauls his computers out of Jerry's apartment in frantic fear during the "proposal" always killed me
