Great, well explained content, man! Covering Fractal devices communicating with Studio One is just spot on what I've been playing around with for a long while. Keep that good content coming!

A short rca cable basically IS a spdif cable. They are physically identical. Always use measurements, not audiophile myth and legend, to make decisions.
The only real design consideration difference between the two is spdif is shooting for (doesn’t always achieve) 75ohms, in order to reduce jitter/reflections in the signal. This jitter isn’t going to present itself in a short cable, and you’ll find in measurements the resistance of a short rca coax cable is practically identical to the same length spdif cable. One’s just sold in a different color. Rca coax cables are actually spec’d for 75ohms too, but for different reasons.
They are literally the same thing.

I have that midi cable, I sort of wish there was a Windows program that was made to make it easier to use on things like pedals.

I have been trying to use my Axe FX III as an interface with Pro Tools. I mute the track I am recording on and monitor through the headphones to eliminate latency while recording. The issue I have is I can't seem to find a way to independently adjust the volume of my guitar going to my headphone out and the volume going into pro tools. To get a good signal in to pro tools it ends up being way louder than the rest of my tracks in the session while I am recording.
