yep I'm not going anywhere since I've been this year and I watched this video and thus was my fav I just asked if we could go on holidays and mum said I don't know but I really want to and I love watching these videos
My sister has a little hack for traveling in planes! My airport lets you have a carry-on and a personal bag for free, like a backpack and a purse. What my sister does, is she uses a smaller suitcase for the carry-on, and a backpack with her purse inside for things like a laptop, phone, and maybe some more clothes. It amazing, and she never has to pay for a single bag.
Elena Marie I’m leaving to Florida with Southwest Airlines and your ticket includes a checked bag carry on and personal item like a purse or camera bag.
Pig Sandle it's just funny. We aren't judging. We are just poking fun. I have to go to Europe for 3 months each year, and I pack half the amount she did.
People are saying that you packed way too much. But this is the most handy video I've watched. All of the videos there's on RUclips are for short trips. This one has all of the essentials I need for my almost-month long trip. Loved the video!
It actually sometimes doesn't. For my next trip, I tried rolling my clothes and it took up double the space. Anyways, my clothes might just be too thick, but it always unrolls, even with light clothes
A day or two before my flight the clothes go in the suitcase, then getting to the airport, then 3 hours at the airport, then 5-12 hours flying, if not longer if there are stopovers, then getting from the airport to wherever I'm staying. Finally unpacking 72+ hours later, those tightly packed rolled up clothes need ironing. I hate ironing. I make sure clothes are put away straight after drying, just to avoid ironing. If I fold carefully and use a wrinkle release spray, I can get away with not ironing. I have a funeral I'm going to on Tuesday and I'm going to try out the packing cubes I bought last week. We'll see how that goes. I have a month and a half trip coming up this summer and I'll be living out of the suitcase. We'll see how well I live out of packing cubes for two weeks. I still roll my towels and fluffy jumpers. They compress nicely. But most clothes don't compress significantly. At least, that's why I learned as a military brat and then working in aviation for 12 years.
Instead of wasting space with pool noodles in your boots, you could just wrap your converse up in plastic grocery bags and stick them inside your boots. That or put all of your socks/underwear/pajamas inside bags inside your boots. I also NEVER pack my toothbrush in my checked luggage. I've had my checked bag sent in the opposite direction (like the time my bag went to Seattle when we went to NYC on our honeymoon...) too many times to not pack at least a toothbrush and a pair of clean underwear in my carry on bag. Just get a small cosmetic bag, like the ones they send you with your Ipsy bags, and use those to put toothbrush, toothpaste, underwear, and any other essentials you think you MUST have to survive for a day or so should your bag get lost.
I have 3 pairs of flip flops and I am getting a pair of boots and a pair of sneakers cause they are old and don't fit, that's it and half the time it's too cold for flip flops
I just thought of another idea. We bought the TSA approved locks for our luggage going through the airport. We are also bringing another BIGGER (keyed locking type lock) lock to secure our luggage inside OUR HOTEL ROOM!! I hate to imagine it, but, we all know it happens, the cleaning personnel DO snoop through your stuff when they are cleaning the rooms. Yes, it happens. Be prepared and protect yourself. We stayed in Vegas for a few days and the cleaning lady stole some new perfume and jewelry. We now lock our luggage in the room. I thought the TSA lock may be good enough, but, I thought 'they may have the universal key for the TSA lock"? who knows, but, we are not taking a chance. It's a sad fact. You can also put your earrings on a big button and then put the button in the makeup case.
+Lawyer Rock omg my gosh I never thought of that. I normally don't travel with jewelry other then my wedding ring which I never take off. Thank you for the great tips!!!
Why don't you roll up your clothes and put them in your boots instead of pool noodles, it's a win win situation you save space and your boots aren't going to get fe formed
@@driblast9422 Depends on if you get smelly feet. I've always had cold feet. Weirdest has been going to the hospital for heatstroke and a nurse was surprised my feet were cool to the touch. I get sweaty/clammy hands and always have to buy new gloves each winter. You could always put the clothes in their own bag first.
I will be moving soon and will "only" bring a 23kg suitcase + 8-10kg carry-on. thank you for making this video! I found so many videos for carry-ones but hardly any for big suitcases :)
I have watched many of these, because I am a horrible packer and this is the first one to show a regular woman packing!!! The make up tips helped me the most and the jewelry second. Thank you!!! Now to watch your Hawaii packing video!
Just a note; make sure you take off tags on the outside of your bags from previous flights! Keeping them on is a really easy way to get your bag shipped to where you last went on vacation!!
This is a great video! I always over pack for trips no matter wear I'm going. And over packing causes my suitcase to always be overweight and then there's that awkward fumble of trying to switch clothes over before checking your bag. This is going to save me a ton of time packing for my Europe trip this summer! :)
Thanks! Great ideas. Getting ready to go to an all inclusive resort in St. Lucia for 15 days!! Hey, believe it or not, about 20 years ago, I tried to pack my clothes in ziplock bags and I would roll them to get all the air out, but they never worked. I guess they were not 'air tight' huh?? But, I had the right idea. I also would 'roll' my clothes so they would not get wrinkled. My husband is watching this with me and he saw how many shoes you are taking and he laughed so hard. He was like "why do chicks bring so many shoes"? He has his flip flops and then his tennis shoes and that's it! Women need several choices. It's just who we are! :)
+Lawyer Rock haha yes us women need choices!!! Men will never understand but that's ok 😉 plus I was going to a week trip with a wedding and all kinds of parties so I had to bring them for the outfits!
Well she's a girl so she's going to the bachelorette party and probably going to bet getting her nails or hair and makeup done with the bride rather then the groom. Makes sense.
Her sister in law could be gay and marring her sister :/ Edit: wait then the batchloret party would split yhe people in half XD nevermind Secont Edit: im not making sence sorry... I dont even understand myself
Omg that list is genius! You are so organized and all of these tips are great ideas! I definitely need to re-watch this whole video next time I go on vacation :)
Hi, I found a clear zip rectangular box (bedding was in it). It's great for rolling your day/night dresses, shorts, tops out flat. When you get to your hotel all you have to do lift it out onto the bed and this keeps your case tidy. Also, great for unpacking your case when you get home.
Should've put your normal shoes into your boots, then you would've had a little more free space. And if you got something like your toiletry bag for your jewelry it'd be easier to access/find, you can get pencil cases that open completely like a book, if you're into arts and crafts you can just add some pockets or straps...
I use the same VS bag when I travel and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! It's the perfect size. It even fits under the seat so you don't have to use the overhead storage. Also, I take an extra Jumbo Ziplock bag for my dirty clothes. That way I can squish them down for travel home and they are not touching any clean items I may have left.
It really is! I can use it for a quick overnight or for my carry on when flying. That is such a good idea, I need to bring an extra bag to put my dirty clothes in!
u should have put your curling iron inside the noodle inside your boot....and the blow dryer is small, it might fit into the bottom of the other boot, and then your round container of make-up brushes on top of that, then something else soft , rolled up....
love love love! I'm going to disney in a week and i was just scrolling through some videos and I'm so glad i found yours! I bought this exact suitcase and those little carry on soap holders! Keep making great videos!
My mom is able to iron so flat that 10 shirts takes up literally 7 or 8 inches. I recommend ironing them; you won't have to iron them when you get there 😊
Omg this was so helpful I'm flying to Australia from London in two days I'm super stressed and still haven't packed literally just binge watching these videos
Great packing tips! Those storage bags are great if you are going on a short trip...but never store clothing in them long term. If they have any wrinkles in them while stored, the wrinkles are EXTREMLY hard to remove. Safe Travels!

This was soooo useful! Thank u so much! I always overpack....so this is amazing!!!!also....can u plz put up the link for the list again.....o was so sad because your description said the link was expired
Very nice video with great tips! To conserve more space, I would suggest filling your boots with rolled jeans and shorts, or with your Converse sneakers rather than the foam things which have no other purpose.
Check-in bag means you check it in, carry-on bag is the one you carry on the plane with you. But yeah there's no need to "pack like a pro" when you are checking in a bag because there's no size limit, just weight. And yes her packing is awful, no offense.
Love the video, great tips, the one thing I will say... I sell luggage, and Marshalls is a terrible place to get luggage. My store takes repairs of our brand purchased anywhere, and the quality you get REALLY depends on where you purchase from. If you don't buy from the brands store, at least go to Macy's or the next step down of Kohl's...
Wow, exactly what I needed, great explanations and examples! I will recommend your channel to my friends. And thanks for the packing list reminder. Enjoy your travels!
if you want to make your own “press n pack” you can take a big ziploc bag and buy like clothes in it (leave some space) and close the ziploc bag but leave a small hole. sit on the bag or squish it down to get air out and when you’re done keep squishing it while you close the hole.😁

Well considering I've been in bolivia for the past 2 years and am going back to texas soon and have acquired a crap load of stuff that I need to take back it's actually quite helpful.
Well...... not exactly If you have to visit somewhere for like a couple months or you are moving back somewhere, you need to put a lot of stuff in your bag. These are also a bunch of tips and she probably doesn't think everyone is going to bring this much stuff. She is also prepared. Plz don't hate
Sarah & Lizzie Marlin yeah your so write like my mums friends daughter she is 18 and she lived all her life in Australia and now she is moving to California
Holy crap so much stuff lol! I kept expecting it to end but then there was more! Gives me anxiety xD I only travel with carry on even for extended days, but i enjoyed your video. :) I like seeing other peoples packing styles.
Very efficient indeed. But you end up creasing lots of clothes, especially the shirts and pants. My recommendation is use Sandwich packing at the end for the pants and shirts. It takes a little effort but will save you from having to press the clothes again when you unpack.

Im glad its checked bag - all these videos are carry on and sometimes thats not realistic lol
let's be honest and say her packing is awful... the only useful thing in this video was the list..
Check-in bag means you check it in, carry-on bag is the one you carry on the plane with you. But yeah there's no need to "pack like a pro" when you are checking in a bag because there's no size limit, just weight. And yes her packing is awful, no offense.
nope
Love the video, great tips, the one thing I will say... I sell luggage, and Marshalls is a terrible place to get luggage. My store takes repairs of our brand purchased anywhere, and the quality you get REALLY depends on where you purchase from. If you don't buy from the brands store, at least go to Macy's or the next step down of Kohl's...
No don't put your jewelry in your suitcase always on a small bookbag or purse that you can carry with you
Never, never, pack jewelry in your checked bag, my friend had ALL stolen and no reimbursement for jewelry!
Omg thank you so much +Alexsis Mae this has given me so much ideas as to what/how i'll pack when I go Miami!

Yeah a friend or family
if you want to make your own “press n pack” you can take a big ziploc bag and buy like clothes in it (leave some space) and close the ziploc bag but leave a small hole. sit on the bag or squish it down to get air out and when you’re done keep squishing it while you close the hole.😁
Who's watching this 2 days before holiday and planning to pack on an insta live the night before u leave even tho u know no one is gonna join
I'm going to Florida in two days and I'm binge watching packing videos

Liv Pick5 exactly what I was saying damn girl
Well considering I've been in bolivia for the past 2 years and am going back to texas soon and have acquired a crap load of stuff that I need to take back it's actually quite helpful.
Well...... not exactly
If you have to visit somewhere for like a couple months or you are moving back somewhere, you need to put a lot of stuff in your bag.
It depends on how long she is staying
Holy crap so much stuff lol! I kept expecting it to end but then there was more! Gives me anxiety xD I only travel with carry on even for extended days, but i enjoyed your video. :) I like seeing other peoples packing styles.
Why am I here? I never travel
Very efficient indeed. But you end up creasing lots of clothes, especially the shirts and pants. My recommendation is use Sandwich packing at the end for the pants and shirts. It takes a little effort but will save you from having to press the clothes again when you unpack.
