    "God forbid that I should boast in anything but The Cross of Jesus Christ." I have just discovered this amazing, vibrant artist, and in front of her and yet, backing all of her art, is the Easel of Wisdom. I love finding depth in art, but more so when found in the Artist!

      Hi Joni. I've used the COVID lockdowns to do online courses and produce some full demonstration videos. The full painting demonstration time (with complete explanation as the paintings are done) ranges from around 45 minutes to over 7 hours. The videos are available for purchase on Vimeo. For more details see www.ldief.com/videos

    Thank you so much for this, I would love to see longer similar items, including the preliminary drawing and choices you make as you go, the wisdom and knowledge you share is so inspiring and exciting, Master Pastellists are hard to come by on RUclips, especially of your ability and, being disabled instruction is often beyond reach physically and financially, so thank you so much again for this rare and wonderful treat, I'm sure I will be binge-watching every moment!

      Debra Moss thanks for your feedback Debra, it is very much appreciated. I fully realise that the sound quality is a bit echoey and my husband and Icertainly don’t declare ourselves to be professional film makers. One day we’ll get better and then do a “real” one but in the meantime I hope that this gives you enough info. There is a floral demo for the TV program Put Some Colour In Your Life. If you go to my videos page on my website www.ldief you will find a link. My apologies for taking so long to respond.

    Good job on improving on the original photo: you've made him more pensive and less grumpy, and the colours are warmer to provide more contrast with the background.

    Hi I love your work and hope to improve my use of pastels. Do you spray a fixative to protect the painting or do you just frame them behind glass?

    • @venkataramansubramani7524
      @venkataramansubramani7524 6 лет назад

      caroline baker pls do fixative and it will change color to some extent

    • @lyndiefenbach7854
      @lyndiefenbach7854  6 лет назад +2

      Caroline I don’t use fixative as it will change the value of the finished pastel. It’s actually not necessary although I do sometimes cover the work with a piece of glassine and get it put through a press to make the pastel even more secure.

  • @jennybai4055
    @jennybai4055 4 года назад

    did u use a fixtive

    • @lyndiefenbach7854
      @lyndiefenbach7854  4 года назад

      No definitely not. Fixative will darken the painting and it will lose its vibrancy. Pastels need to be framed with glass and then they are protected. Before framing give the painting a good tap on the back to remove any loose dust or even put a piece of glassine paper over it and gentle use a rolling pin to press the pastels into the surface. Pastels are a very robust medium.
