- In this video I show you how to build the bluetooth led controller called blueghozt. ghost lighting made the blueghozt module easy to wire up with the screw terminals for the wires.

My question is .. if I already have a regular Bluetooth controller that has 4 outputs, can I just add more splitters to equal the 2 outputs on the blue ghost ? Or is it wired a whole different way? (Can I switch out a regular Bluetooth controller with a blue ghost controller with out significantly modifying the strips and halos)
Same here 😅
If your leds are addressable and make sure you use either 3 or 4 wire whichever you currently have.
I know this is a show mode module but how do you retain turn signal, brakes, and reverse functionality when you are driving around? thats my biggest mental hurdle im currently stuck on with these controllers.
Great video thanks man
your welcome!!
Do you need 1 module for both headlights and another module for both tail lights?
Hey Zac, if my tail light build has 4 separate tail lights, can I connect 2 separate blueghozts (2 and 2) or should I use 4 individual ghozt v5’s?
Thanks so much for your videos helping my build SO MUCH
🙏
Hey have an issue with the controller I have if someone else has the same lights they can change my light setup fix better module with code to connect?
Can you clarify the difference between Blueghozt and Blueghozt Plus? Do I need to be using Plus to have bluetooth-activated show modes?
Sorry if i didn’t explain that super well!
Blueghozt lite and plus are the exact same thing for controlling your leds (so Bluetooth controlled show, Bluetooth controlled turn/park/brake options) and they both get all of the show modes.
The only thing that the plus model gets is 4 relays that you can control from your phone.
This would be used if you have extra accessories you would like to have Bluetooth control over, for example led light pods.
So how do you know if you need lite or plus?
Another newbie question, are you getting power directly from the battery with the 12v to 5v adapter? If so how do the regular blinkers/brakes function?
12v to 5v converter
And the turn signals from the car are just an input so the ghozt will do the rest of the work once they are wired up
@@zaccookok say I buy panel from illumaesthetics. How does the car know which LEDs to light when using brake/blinkers? For example my 14 Sti sedan has like 4 different designs on illumaesthetics. I want the c design with rgbs but still want normal tailight functions. How would I achieve this
Would you be able to use a 5V 5A voltage regulator instead of the buck converter? The regulator is like the size of a nickel so it might save some space?
I personally haven't tried it so im not sure. I assume as long has its pumping out 5v volts with enough voltage to go through all of the lens then you should be good.
@@zaccook The LM338T has an adjustable voltage from 1.2-32 volts I believe. You can get them in a 5pk for $8 on Amazon. Might be worth getting some to messing around with. Could save you money in the long run especially if space is an issue. I run a 5v regulator for my sound efx board that controls my horn. I was going to use a buck converter but had 2 mini amplifiers that needed to be installed inside the dash so I went with the regulator. So far so good
can you make a tutorial on how to use the app
Lololol just for you
How do you wire it to work with the turn signals ? You tap into the turn signals ?
What size loom you runnin tex?
Can one controller power headlights and taillights?
technically yes.
its kind of weird how you have to do it.
so you have to daisy chain the headlights to the tail lights, then in the pixel set up tab you have to tell the app how many pixels are in the headlights (and what style there is) and then "add" another set of pixels (this time how many tail lights there are) and you have tell the module to fire those leds at the same time as the headlights and you also have to tell them to light up red for the parking lights and not white.
but you can control 2 blueghozt modules from the blueghozt app. so if you run 1 blueghozt from the front and 1 from the rear you can control them from the same app.
@@zaccook would you need to use both converters or just one?
@Zac Cook do you need a constant power if you are not using show mode? Just running taillights can the led power come from the parker/brake light? or dose it still need a constant/ignition power
hey unfortunately the blueughozt modules do need power and ground at all times. same goes for the v5 modules they need 12v power at all times to. I wish I knew why but I do not know the technical side of it that much.
Is there a way to control Rgbw strips combined with rgb halos?
yep its just how you wire them up. you can tap the halos into the beginning of the strip or you can daisy chain them (wire the halos after the strips).
@@zaccook even if they use different codes on the blueghozt?
Do you have a video doing the potting epoxy?
I think i have YT short about it but im not sure lol
How do you wire the blueghozt module to Q50 custom headlights already?
Hi Zac. What size fuse do you use?
I always go 10 amp, but if you have 15 that will work too!
Where you located fam. I'm in Alabama, wondering if your are close by
Is the blueghozt controller always on?
It needs constant power otherwise you can’t turn on the show mode with the vehicle off
U need to sell these wired for headlights i need one
that's a good idea!
we sell the whole package but we could for sure make some that are prewired and pre potted.
@@zaccook i just seen a few sites that do it
Why would I need the converter. I'm getting all blue ghost modules with my kits. New to this company and products
It depends on what leds you choose to use inside your lights.
They sell both 12v and 5v addressables so it depends on what kind you get
If you get 5v you’ll for sure need a converter otherwise they will pop
@@zaccook im going with the flow series with blue ghost module.
@@zaccook so not sure what how many pins I need
