Hi ya , awesome video , definitely no hair band, just watched Chesca and Ben seams like yesterday you were in Turkey, thanks for sharing 🙏. Take care and stay safe cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🌟🤩🌺🩷
There are over 1000 stone circles in the UK and Ireland, some older than the Pyramids! Most of them have a stone that will specifically align with the midwinter sunset or sunrise. The thing I find most fascinating is that even though they are so old a lot of them have the same folklore that’s only a few hundred years old. A lot of them have the same tale that you count the stones twice, once clockwise and once anti-clockwise (most of the time that will be two different numbers) and if you get the same number twice the stones will turn into the witches the stones were made from. My favourite stone circle is Castlerigg in the Lake District 😊
Maybe you guys can have a go at counting the next time you see one! There’s one in Cumbria actually called ‘Long Meg and her daughters’ because of this folktale 😂😂
I love barefoot shoes, I've been wearing them for about 5 mo., I do enjoy being able to sprawl my toes. I wish I could magically put myself and my van in the middle of Scotland right now and just go explore. But, I don't think that's going to happen so I'll just have to enjoy it through your eyes. And, just hang in there, I'm sure you'll see some Heilan Coos soon. At least you saw the eagle. 🦅Till next week🖐
Thanks for the video you two- such fun - you always make me smile. We are really looking forward to visiting the islands- what about Mull? Aren’t you going there? Everyone tells me it’s lovely too. X
What a double act!! im ashamed to say that you are both showing me parts of my own country I've not been to yet,but are giving me a lot of inspiration!! Fantastic and very humourous video's with brilliant editing...and Keely's laugh!! pair of belters :) happy travels and lots of love to you both :)
Wow thankyou so much for your generosity 🥰🥰 we have LOVED Scotland, really hope you get out to enjoy more of your beautiful home country. We look forward to coming back and doing some more islands in the future. I'm hoping to spot some puffins in the wild ❤️
I drive 600kms around north Queensland in my truck every day but Tuesday is always the best day because I get to watch your video when I get home! Love your travels!
Wow that's crazy amount of km! We've been looking at vans in Oz and we seen one with a million km 😂😂 crazy to think that 100,000 is seen as a lot of miles here, and the average Van we've been looking at is like 300,000km
For some reason RUclips would not let me make a comment last week but is was a top vlog as per usual guys. Also I think yes to a headband Keely you looked cute. Philly should wear one too 😉

Glad you enjoyed your last parkup on Lewis,we live right by that spot,we we’re down there yesterday for breako Enjoy the NC500,there’s some great sites
Another classic P&K watch. Looking forward to the NC run and seeing you enjoy the weather that we’ve had in the last few days. I know you have slight ASB tendencies which I completely get, cos we’re exactly the same. But I really do hope we bump into you as we’re currently in findhorn and heading in the opposite direction along the NC. Fingers crossed, and remember you can run, but you can’t hide 😉
Great to see you on the NC500 and Scotland is great for van life. Thanks for the stickers and one has gone on my van and the other one on the motorhome. Thanks Dave

Scotish safari!!! Philly was in top form! You have amazing hair keely its so long! Loved the smell test for ur dirty laundry!! Keep enjoying yourselves, cant wait to get our van up and running you guys make it look like living the dreamxxxx🎉🎉🎉🎉
You KNOW the rule about washing - the test to see if clothes are dirty is simple: chuck a sock at the side of the van, and if it doesn't stick then it's good for another week or so...😁
I love just hanging out with the two of you and doing the day-to-day. The stone circle was sooo cool! I know how it is to have clean laundry!! I just finished up everything except what I’m wearing today!! And they smell so good!! Take care kiddos and safe travels wherever you are from Southern California 🌴
17:38 I am such a sucker for a weather-based time lapse!! Wow!! 18:55 No, Philly, sorry. Coffee *IS* nectar!! 🤤☕ Mimi asked me exacerbatedly when Philly was sniffing the crunchy socks, "why do guys hafta smell stuff they know is gonna stink?!" I really didn't have an answer, other than "you gotta". 🤣 But to truly appreciate putting your face into a pile of freshly clean laundry might be another good reason!! Safe travels on the NC500! Looking forward to the next episode. ❤️❤️🤞😎xx
Oh wow, those park ups looked fantastic, what a great decision to explore the islands. I reckon you’ll be loving the nc500 just as much. Weather is looking really good. My dad used to say, when it’s sunny, there’s no better place in the world than Scotland. Ullapool to the north coast is incredible. There will be some highland cows at some point. There’s a field near Loch Ness that always has them, I’ll send you the location if you don’t see any soon!!
Thankyou! Yeah the islands are fab, but excited to smash out the NC500 and share it with everyone, I feel like it's the place we've heard of the most lol.
Hopefully you have seen a Highland coo by now, but if not, absolutely guaranteed to see them when at Fort William / Ben Nevis. I was on a walk there one time and came across quite a few - all chilling out, lying across the path ! They are so damned big when close up and insanely intimidating, but so beautiful at the same time. Great vid and look so forward to your future adventures. 👍✌🏻
Hi you two, Isle of Harris and Isle of Lewis are great aren’t they ! Off there ourselves very soon ( not been for 8 years) can’t wait! Hope Keelys farts have disappeared into the ocean by then 🤣Seen another vlog few days ago , Highland cows and other breeds at Northton ( south Harris ) maybe next time . Also recommend Isle of Barra next time in Scotland, bloody amazing place ! Thanks for info on Barefoot shoes , been seeing quite a lot about these lately , are they any good for plantar fasciitis as I was always told you need shoes with a good arch like running shoes ? 🤔. Enjoy the rest of Scotland and keep on making everyone laugh , you two are just great and pretty darn good at the filming and editing too ! X
I can't speak to plantar fascitis, but I have an injury in my left foot from a few years ago that never healed properly, and at first I could feel it more in the barefoot shoes (you feel everything more) and I was worried I wouldn't be able to stick wearing them, but over a week or two my body adjusted and I didn't have the pain for like three months, which was a miracle like I'd had pain for years and then it faded away in barefoot shoes, but then I went to my friend's wedding and put on a pair of high heels for the day and inflamed it right back up again 😂, but crazy that going barefoot seems to have strengthened my foot, there is a lot of research about running injuries and stuff and how we have weakened ourselves not allowing our feet to perform the way they are meant to in tight shoes. But again, I have no idea about plantar fascitis, but defo worth looking in to. They take a while to get used to, but once I did I would never go back now.
Fab video guys.Hope the NC590 is kind to you, I’ve been seeing a lot about the locals complaining about van lifers and campervans in general and making life difficult for them. Hope you don’t encounter any of this, looking forward to next weeks video, have a great week bith if you xxx
@@Parker_Douglas very true, such a shame a few bad apples spoil it, we defo encountered a few campervan tourists who didn't have the best park up etiquette, so can totally understand why some locals would be peed off if they experienced that.
It's a great shame that people fail to have respect for the beauty of Scotland, but in the same way if you invite people to visit your home, it's a good idea to have enough seats. The NC500 has been a great success but Scotland has been caught out by the Covid-19 crowd and the self inflicted damage of brexit where travelling further afield has been very much disincentified. Thankfully, many holiday makers and vans are drifting back to Europe now so the pressure on the Highlands will hopefully ease off. But this has a down side too as the money tourism brings to scotland will be spent abroad. Did anyone else notice the parking area blocked by a vehicle in the vlog and what looks like a gate? Hopefully it's still in the construction phase, but if it's meant as a disincentive to people exploring the route (by invitation), visitors and their cash will go elsewhere, which was exactly the reason the NC500 was promoted in the first place. I love Scotland, and hope the progress being made to facilitate the extra traffic and places to rest and service the obvious waste requirements of motorhomes and campervans will help to ease the brewing discontent so all can enjoy what has to be one of the most beautiful places. I do hope both UK visitors and our continental visitors respect the values of the folk who live and work in the Highlands and seek out (the yet limited) service locations that are provided.
Love u keely but philly was it wise to throw her the keys before you went on the beach 😅. Series is absolutely gorgeous, it does however seem a crime you havent seen a highland cow yet.
I found your channel recently and still catching up with all your videos and adventure. You two are just so friggin cute - I LOVE your humour and how you are together.
Hi guys. WHAT a gorgeous film. Harris & Lewis look absolutely stunning!! We're on Skye for another couple of days, oh my we've loved every second. Gutted we can't follow your wheel tracks to more islands (this time!) but maybe we'll bump into you on Ben Nevis!!!! Happy travels you lovely people and thanks again for your wonderful vids. K & N x
Great shout out to barefoot shoes. I wear vivobarefoot but they are expensive and they don't last long with wear and tear. I'll definitely give the Lems a go 👍
I love barefoot shoes so much! Crazy how terrible it feels trying to put a "normal" pair of shoes back on after so long, they just feel wrong don't they! Lems actually have a sale on till tomorrow so perfect time to buy some through our link 😜
@ChapterByChapterVlog I'll definitely give you a shout out when I buy my first pair. Hopefully you'll continue to advertise Lems because as you know correct footwear is so important for the muscular/skeletal structure. All kids should wear them.
NC500. Change of plans at work, means extra days off. Off to the NC500 at the end of week, to do the parts i missed last time. Not rushing around, but steady relaxing drive. Last time i was passing Ardvreck castle, it was chucking down with rain at Easter time, that is half way round the NC500 already.
Aurora season has started. dark enough to see the Aurora Borealis, if you have clear skies on the north coast of Scotland. I will be out to photograph it, whilst on the NC500. Once seen never forgotten.@@phillyandkeely
Just watching you last video. Love you laugh. You 2 cheer me up every time I see you. Keep laughing and have a great time. PS what's with the music, bit different. That's being kind lol xx
Another awesome video guys 😃Makes my day with your fun and zest for life. Although I’m so with you on mornings and definitely need coffee to get going.
@@phillyandkeely i lade a coffee with bad milk the other day. I honestly felt sad for a while. I had to remake it a while later. But it just wasnt the same haha
If stone circles were calendars, I bet they'd be kicking themselves now, wishing they'd invented the printing press before they started hoofing giant stones about the place! Also, I wouldn't worry too much about blaspheming the builders. It's been 30 years since he did it, but I can't see a Scottish stone circle without picturing Billy Connolly dancing naked around the Ring of Brodgar in Orkney. There are some things that you can never unsee! 🫣😂
I have laughed out loud so many times at this video. But Philly saying top of the morning and then the horns going off on the boat were my favs lol 😂😂😂😂
Aww! Lovely that you have him with you in spirit! I’m trying to convince my husband to take the cats, but he thinks they will run away. They do love the van when I’m working on it at home. We need jumpers with our cats faces on 😂
@@TheSpinningWebb oh my Gus jumper!! That makes sense now haha. He is honestly the best, I cried when my sister gave me that jumper for Christmas, so special 🥰🥰🥰
Yes you are right, a private company by the way who contribute nothing to ease the carnage they created. North Highland Initiative/the former Prince Charles are to blame.
@@phillyandkeely I’m delighted you took your time getting round the roads. I don’t mean to be a negative Nancy, but the local population are still highly impacted by the lack of facilities and infrastructure to accommodate the hundreds of thousands of tourists now visiting the region year on year now. Covid 19 travel restrictions, camper vans and the rise of staycations could not have been predicted but they certainly have made their mark on the region. Take care, happy trails!
Any episode without you two being swarmed by some fucking bugs is a good episode. I hate to admit it, but when you guys are being eaten by bugs, it makes my skin crawl. I'm sure they're on ME and in my beard (I have one of those huge Santa beards...you people know about Santa, right? White hair, white beard...gives shit away...where was I? Oh...) I'll definitely give you a shout out when I buy my first pair. Hopefully you'll continue to advertise Lems because as you know correct footwear is so important for the muscular/skeletal structure. All kids should wear them.
Another great vlog. Love you guys!!! My favourite beach on the nc500 is oldshoremore. Reccomend a visit if you have time 😀
Thankyou 🥰 will have to add oldshoremore to our maps for next time, I think we've passed it now (we are ahead on filming for once!)
NC500. Change of plans at work, means extra days off. Off to the NC500 at the end of week, to do the parts i missed last time. Not rushing around, but steady relaxing drive. Last time i was passing Ardvreck castle, it was chucking down with rain at Easter time, that is half way round the NC500 already.
Aww lovely!! Enjoy your time on itz so many beautiful places to see.
Aurora season has started. dark enough to see the Aurora Borealis, if you have clear skies on the north coast of Scotland. I will be out to photograph it, whilst on the NC500. Once seen never forgotten.@@phillyandkeely
Ah, you both brighten up my Sundays! 🥰🥰

Your vlogs always make me laugh. Love your sense of humour. ❤
Thanks so much Linda 🥰🥰
Another awesome video guys 😃Makes my day with your fun and zest for life. Although I’m so with you on mornings and definitely need coffee to get going.
Thankyou 🥰🥰 woke up this morning to realise we had no coffee and shops were all shut on Sunday morning... Was not a great start to the day 🤣
Philly, watch out, a hole.. don’t drop your coffee 😅. (Nice to show those moments too. Reality of van life)
haha! If it was my coffee I honestly would have cried
😂😂😂 you can never unsee that
Definitely hairband.
Aww thanks so much David!
Wasting good coffee tut tut 😂
I know!! Shame
We are hiding the highland cows from you keely👍🤣🤣🤣🏴
Just to keep me here longer, can't leave until i see a highland cow, nessie and conquer ben nevis!
Well I think the hairband is super cute ❤
❤️❤️
I have laughed out loud so many times at this video. But Philly saying top of the morning and then the horns going off on the boat were my favs lol 😂😂😂😂
LETS DO THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!..... LOL ......😂😂❤
😂😂
Every one of those stone circles was a pub. Just google Glenrowan pub and Ned Kelly.
That's interesting TJ! Love learning stuff like this ❤️
@@phillyandkeely that was a joke 🤣
@@T.J-and-Soul I mean I wouldn't put it past the Scottish 😂
@@phillyandkeely hahaha
👍🚐😎
🥰🥰
Hahaha incinerate your laundry 😂 lol they stink thats van life you gotta love it 😊🫠💙💙
😂😂😂 think we might need to just get some new teeshirts at this point haha
Yeh, I commented, don’t worry 🎉😂❤
Yay!!!

😵💫🕸️ portal to center of the hollow earth
😂😂😂
My husband and I are curious to know who gus is?! 😂
Gus is our cat who lives with my parents. He is our baby, but he is not a fan of the van lol. Did we mention him?
Not a stalker of your cat, promise 😂😂😂
Amazing gift
what about find an another country?
We have some big plans for another continent next month woop
To understand stone circles watch "Outlander "...😂😂
Everyone has been telling us to watch that lmao!
Hmm😂😂Fucking brilliant people 😊😊
Thanks Bernae 🤣🤣🥰🥰
The marketing folk who created the NC500 have a lot to answer for.
I'm grateful we spent so long doing everything else and didn't just blast to start the NC500, Scotland has so much more to offer.
I hate boil in the bag clothes.🤦🏻
So did our nostrils hahaha!
Oh...) Mind you, I sit here in my den in California, with nary a bug to be seen...but still...Now you know why I do drugs...
😂😂 yes we know Santa well, he gave me a lump of coal once as a joke. Glad no skin crawling for you in this one!
@@phillyandkeely LOL!
