    The terrain on Mauna Kea is beautiful, so "western" looking. I wonder what Dr. Douglas thought of it. He died too young.

    You should get real authentic with your presentations. That includes pronunciation. ... The word I'm referenceing is MAUNA ...in Hawaiian language called " Ōlelo Hawai'i " ( Speak Hawaiian) the word is pronounced " mao-nă "... mao rhymes with chow ..not " mă- nă " ... look it up . ✌🏽

      Thanks..I picked up the pronunciation wrong a long time ago and you’re right-i need pronounce it properly-will do.

    Great story guys! Beautiful and varied terrain, that I would not expect to see in Hawaii. I’m in California and the scenery looks like something you’d see in our foothills.👍🏾

    Did I understand your comment that you can no longer hike to Honokane Nui Lookout? Love that hike and we were coming back in August. Hope that is not the case
