I was wondering if the unreleased crash twin sanity coco skin from the dev build could be implemented in the retail version by any chance, I tried to import a save from the dev build to a retail build and everything else works except that skin , karts , paint job etc works but not that one, I was thinking its because that skin was supposed to be a pitstop skin?
If the skin still exists in the game, the only way to unlock it is by "bruteforcing" it by creating a code through GoldHEN cheats. I'm not an expert enough to develop such cheat unfortunately. What you're trying to do is like importing a PS4 save to the Switch, the retro skins and stadium will not be available unless you hex edit the game because the executables are built differently and that translates to the save file.

The physical and digital versions have the same CUSA ID so it should work. What I don't know is if this works with the American (or Japanese) version because it's a different CUSA ID but if you have any of these versions and are willing to try, let me know... just backup your original save beforehand. I have converted a Japanese to USA DoA 6 save before so this should work too ^_^

ONE LAST QUESTION : Should all this work with a PAL PS4? I know games are not region locked but DLC is apparently. If it doesn't work should I try changing the country info on settings, I know people do this on Switch to bypass these things.
@@aaronhall9077 The "PAL" PS4 is exactly the same as the others so of course it works, mine is a "PAL" PS4 Pro. The only "region locking" being enforced is the CUSA IDs which is why you can't mix DLCs of different regions. Also, on a jailbroken PS4 you can't access the PSN Store because you're not on the latest firmware so it's highly recommended to use backups. We call them fake packages (FPKG) which do not contain licenses nor expiration dates. And as a warning, if you're buying a PS4 to jailbreak, make sure it's on firmware 9.00 or lower otherwise you won't be able to do it. All models are compatible (Phat, Slim or Pro).

I once jailbroke and downgraded IOS software for a IPhone 4S just so I could play the IOS Crash racing game. Again, I will let you know how it goes, probably in a couple of months realistically. I value game preservation over artificial rarity imposed by the publishers. Especially when it's one my favorites like Crash. The whole content deserves to be preserved.

@@StarWarsSatellite Electron skins require the fake PKG pre order DLC which thankfully has been dumped and is available. It does require a jailbroken PS4. Impossible to obtain today on a legit console unless you can still find a working code.

If I recall correctly, it's region free. The version I tested was CUSA-14876 (EU) but should also work for CUSA-13795 (US). Also, I am playing on patch v1.20 so I wonder if you're on v1.21 and another region, it might be the problem here.

Is there no Apollo save tool on PS5 yet? If there isn't, then I don't know... if you have your PS4, you can usb copy it to your PS5 but both need to be jailbroken I guess.

Technically, it should work if you download my modded save. I think SW is capable of reassigning saves from other users. The question is whether or not it accepts and converts unencrypted saves. I never used it so I have no idea how it works.

If the save is corrupt that means it's region locked then. You need the EU version (CUSA14876). Also, make sure you're on patch 1.20 or 1.21.

Just look up "PS4 Saves Apollo Save Database", my CTR save is there. It should also be on the app on the PS4 if you look up saves online.

Just replace. Though, it's always wise to back them up to a usb flash drive in case something goes wrong before you replace it.
