Hello Alex, great work as always. It is always a pleasure to see you at work. You made the revell building kit a really great model. A salute to the Portuguese Air Force
i remember Revell models were not the best in detail and quality. Still looks the same. You still manage to make it look awesome. Keep the vids coming
Muito bom Alex. Ajudou-me bastante na montagem do meu F-16. Keep up the good work buddy :)
Obrigado!
Great result Alex! I really like the detail work you did on the cockpit.
+Patrick McTie Thank you Patrick.. the F16 is my Fav jet!
wow it amazes me that you can build in such a small scale i cant even using the magnifying lenses so i never go smaller than 1/48 job well done hats off to you ,obrigado

AlexModeling just watched the rest. REALLY makes me want to do more modern aircraft.
+UKscalemodeller could be better Ian... but i really love the F16... thank you
That was awesome! Great work, again!
Wonderful Job Alex!
Great job, keep going Alex! Please don't skip the the canopy mask, paint and glue job!
Great stuff Alex!
Louis Matarazzo Thank you Louis! give my regards to my "brother in arms"
Will do Alex!
Lou
Louis Matarazzo and of corse for you and the rest of your family my compliments!
Of course! ;)
Excellent modeling skills sir, but i believe at the start of the cockpit assembly you glued the sidestick from the wrong side, none the less beautiful work, thank you!!!
You are right. My mistake. Thank you
Great build as always my friend :)
Da Costa obrigado companheiro!
Great video and great paint job.
kim Andersen thank you Kim!
Excelent work,, thanks for sharing
ahhh i was waiting for a portuguese aircraft and you delivered! 1/72 scale too, now that is unusual right? It is big enough in this scale :) a very enjoyable video my friend and sweet result!
Hamilkar Barkas Danke Michael! and its about time! the "cross of christ" looks pretty good on these jets... Classic and modern.. F16 is my favorit jet! the other day i was on an expo here about jobs... and there was an army and air force with an F16 on display... i went on the cockpit and with the pilot near by i did the starting procedure step by step (it was a dummy of corse) in the end of "full engine start" The Major asked... What simulator do you use? (yes i use sims but also have all Nato manuals and i ve read ot all) i answered NATO Manuals! he jyst smiled!!
haha that is soo cool on so many levels :)
That looks awesome! I love the Jaguares scheme.
I've got to do a Portuguese one next time I get an F-16 model. After I get this Bentwaters aggressor one finished, sometime lol.
Outstanding work Alex! I subscribed to your channel several months ago and you have a true talent for your hobby. I'm not a rivet counter by any means but it appeared that the joystick was installed backwards in the video? Not judging at all. lol. Great work either way!
Gorgeous. Beautiful build.
Great video!
Perfect work! Alex, what kind of airbrush-pistols do you use? Single action or double action-pistols?
I use double action Bartsharp airbrushes. I am sponsored by them and thats the truth but in quality /price ratio i fing them to be very good
I like watching the cockpits come together the most. I was looking for an F-104 seat more detailed than what came with the kit and ran across an aces 2 ejection seat for the 15's 16's and the Hogs. So my F-104 OR MY B-17 might have an aces 2! Jazz it up a little lol. Thanks for these full builds! I learn something new every time. The last model I remember building I was in the military. My room dog said looks like the Air Force inspired you to build model jets, I said no model jets inspired me to join the Air Force lol! And can any one here tell me the name of that puke green color on the inside of a B-17, does it have a name?
Karin Lefevre green Zinc maybe? not sure
Thanks man.
Super job and video Alex. Did the red tags come with the decal set?Keep having fun! Cheers : )
+International British Modeler Thank you Martin! No.. its Eduard "remove before flight" set
Oh, thanks for letting me know, cheers : )
I like it I will have to add one to my collection
I'm not getting your notifications anymore? weird. I am still subscribed.
guess it's good - lots of videos to catch up on
+Lord Cheezus sometimes that happends to me too
Where are those decals from? Really nice work.
Lol...o see you with quite a long and warm sleeves ...doesn’t it bother you? Lol.. good work...and music
Another great build on a small scale this time. How's everything going?
+FUBAR Model Yard same thing... nothing changed... thank you
Alex, great job. What did you use to clean the glue (16:47) and to fix a part to the stick (5:38)? Thanks
Fifty shades of grey!
I don't have airbrush so if I use acrliyc with brush, Will I have a good result?
Very nice work. One thing ; i think the stick position is wrong. Did you notice Alex.
+Mutlu TOKER only AFTER gluing it!😂😂😂 thanks man! :)
Just notice, and let you know. Like your videos man.
Mutlu TOKER Thank you! Really apreciate it!
I'm really intrigued...how did you learn to paint your models in such detail? is it down to many years of experience? were you once an art student? I love the level of detail you go into like that final wash to simulate weathering and so on. What's your next build gonna be?...please do a Javelin
ValkyrieBSG A Javelin... ok.. thats a chalenge... give me time and i WILL DO IT!
ValkyrieBSG And believe me... im not an art student... all i learned i learned here with great modelers these last 3 years... in fact if you search here you will find guys here much much much 30 times better thann myself! but thanks for your kind comment!
no worries, watching your vids brings back memories of when i used to spend all my pocket money of airfix models...i'd go out and buy like two or three every couple of weeks. I used to go to the same shop so often that the guy running it used to give me christmas cards
+ValkyrieBSG And you know what? THOSE WERE the PURE days od modeling! My respects my friend!
Beautiful 😱
Hi Alex. Fantastic model.
Being Portuguese myself I love your choice of version. In fact I have a similar set of decals, but these are from Model Maker Decals. one thing I've noticed is mine don't come with the serial nr of the plane above and under the wings. So which decals are correct? Do you have any links to photos of the real thing?
Also, I'm using the Academy F-16 C as the base model. Do I need to change anything to make the Portuguese version?
And finally, which colours did you use to paint it?
Hi Alex. You didn't reply to my queries. Would be nice to have your feedback.
+Frank Assis Ola.
Vou pesquisar a informaçâo acima. Obrigado e bom início de ano.
+Frank Assis Obrigado eu Assis! E feliz Ano Novo! Abraço
Nice
Is it possible to use acrylic paint in an airbrush?
John Fisher you can use... acrilic and enamel based paints on an airbrush... regarding you thinned it with its respective thinner... tamyia paints however are acrilic but they can be thinned with X20a thinner or laquer thinner the same way!
AlexModeling Many thanks
Is it a good choice to start with modeling?
Good choice , Portuguese. Next time you do an F18, use Canada
Iron Eagle ;) Nice work
perfect! I wish I could get Portuguese roundels somewhere.
+Nicolas Gjenganger www.bigcat.pt or try black cat decals on google
ok thanks, I already found some interesting items: bigcat.com.pt/BLACKCAT?product_id=4327
did you ever build the Hobby Boss LTV A-7P Corsair II? I bought it but hesitated to start it as I am not an expert for jets.
+Nicolas Gjenganger never build it but i would love to do it Portugues Air force or even USAF
it has nice decals for the Portuguese air force (and it was the only kit I found with Portuguese roundels), it is a kit with many parts, something for experts like you are.
How come you put the radar warning blisters on the nose backwards? Also the static discgargers inner on the rear of wings are too long actually flash from mold and the discgargers on the stabs are randomly broken off. Looks like you got some serious orange peel Surface from the airbrushing as well. A Quick and Dirty build.
Its already corrected... thank you for your comment
Oh and.. i went to your channel! Great work! Your my new hero!
What does that have to do with that you know not much about airplanes and can not even follow instructions right. Myabe the orange peel was just when airbrushed they clear varnish and maybe it flattened out when drying. You know nothing of my modelling i proud myself with making masters for many detail major conversion sets for other modellers to enjoy so I consider myself skilled to make parts from scratch with needlefiles knife and polish pads. I have nothing to do with that you put the radar warning reciever blisters on the side the wrong
way
Im glad you noticed and great you turned the model into a little gem in the end.
By the way you put the flightstick aslo the other way around flightsticks tend to be leaning forward always and any spade grip pickle handle is always in front of hand since you have no fingers on the back of the hand. Hope can be repositioned. is well built kit overall just sorry small mistakes are too easy to make when not knowing airplanes so well.
Excuse me !
İt the model me I bought but painted It came out
İn a what kind of paint you use
Help if you i be happy :)
I'M FROM TÜRKİSH Nice too meet you
I used Tamyia Acrilic paints... but always give it a voat of primer first ok? And wash the plastic kit on water with soap and vinagre! :)
Viva o portugal
+brandon almeida viva! :)
What song begin videos ?
Sad that you didnt make this in the solo display paint, looks way better.
Broo why not the Dutch markings :(
When you can, if you do an F / A-18A 1/72 ACADEMY ....
