Hey Ryan, re Shannon Philips resignation due to "police harassment", the police don't surveil anyone without reason to do so. What was Shannon doing to warrant police surveillance? Does this implicate
the Notley ND party opposition cabinet? Are Philips and Notley's resignation as party leader linked?

There is a reason for EVERYTHING. Its the reasons that are the problem. A LEGAL reason, a LEGITIMATE reason is the issue. The police are BY DEFINITION a reactionery and oppressive force, thats kind of why we need strict, and far STRICTER regulations on them. The 'reason' they could surveil YOU could be "because they want to". Thats not actually a legitimate reason.
In Canada we've found now that organizations on the left AND the right have not only been surveilled by police, in most cases they've been infiltrated by them and in many cases RUN by them. Thats been found as far back as the neo nazi scare out west in the mid eighties.

The police had no legitimate reasons to do this to Shannon Phillips. That they got away with it is also very bad.

Do tell. How do you know? I will trust the police, expecting they had very good reasons to surveil Shannon Philips. Given her background, I wouldn't be surprised if she is entwined in eco terrorist plots.
