I don't think Theo is bad. My son was crazy when he was young like that and I worried so much. Then my mother told me about a boy she knew who used to shoot the ornaments off of the Christmas tree and he grew up to be a good man. My son grew up to be a good man too. My son has passed on now. Enjoy every minute of your boys.

I dont think Theo is bad either. He's a little boy. He likes to play and help. I loved it when he said "I'll be really careful" omg melt your heart. He's too cute. I know its easier for all of us to say bc we're outsiders, but i've worked in a nursery with little kids his age. This is normal behavior. Seriously though...the 3's will make you wish he was 2 again LOL
Absolutely true - we said “terrible twos” , “torrid threes” and sometimes “tumultuous threes”. But always worth it.

You guys are in the thick of it with the kids and Megah’s health issues. You are embracing the stoicism but I know things are rough. You will get through and with these videos you can appreciate how amazing these time were later.

I write this with admiration for this beautiful family and with concern...NOT judgement. Watching this channel for a year now and what I've come to see is that little Theo is in need of structure and set rules. Megha has said this in another episode as well. Kids can act out when there are no clear rules or structure set in place and when they are not told: no. I believe little Theo is a wonderful little boy who is actually seeking this structure and "acts out" because he doesn't have it. Toddlers need BOTH: love and discipline...but when they receive too much of one, they will "act out". There must be a balance between love and discipline.
The book, 'The Discipline Book' by Martha Sears details this perfectly: "Everything you need to know about discipline to raise a happy, well-adjusted, well-behaved child-from America's foremost baby and childcare experts Disciplining children means equipping them with the tools to succeed in life."
And please note: discipline is NOT about hitting a child, it's about teaching. It's setting daily structure and boundaries which need to be enforced, so that a child can learn to be equipped to function successfully in life, emotionally, cognitively and mentally.
Discipline shouldn't be a shameful word that casts judgement on parents, it's an important building block of a child's development and we shouldn't shy from talking about it. God bless 🙏
Agree. Usually the BIGGEST problem is parents who fail to discipline THEMSELVES in follow through while setting up boundaries until they become a habit for the child! And if these habits aren’t established at each stage of development, it takes just that much longer to ingrain them after the fact, usually with even more resistance from the child. (Changing what’s expected because one failed to enforce the rules to begin with, shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone!) The solution is parents that agree as a team to pretty much set their own lives aside during these early developmental years and affirm themselves to dedicate those first few years as “parenting years”! If they mentally make that their goal, it actually takes less time than the alternative … and EVERYONE will be much happier and healthier in the long run!

It doesn’t hurt Theo in any way to be given some firm boundaries. It will help him thrive and be happier in the end! You can be lenient, cool parents all the while still putting in good boundaries to your kids!! Theo is amazing and if you give him firm guidance he will be better for it and so will you both as parents.

Sending my well wishes to Megha. The judgement we feel about our childrens behaviour is often much worse than the actual behaviour. A little grace for him to learn and so much praise for all his kindness and thoughtfulness... He really is an amazing little monster 💜

as nice as your suggestions sound they come across as critical and not constructive although i don't know you so its hard to say what your heart is behind it. Like are you just trying to help or did you have a critical mother or father who acted like you could do nothing correctly so you have undealt with bitterness. Either way I did literally every stinking thing in the be a good parent manual and nothing made a difference so i just didn't worry about it anymore. I have every hard thing happen to me while my kids grew up and this over parenting and reading every be a great parent book was just sucking my energy instead of just loving my kids and trying to relax when hell broke lose every other day.. i realized this as the kids got older its called life. No perfect parents no perfect kids .. tricks are more exhausting than the benefits xoxoxo

@@Austin-jp9pi there's a few reasons people do this. Generally speaking, cycling can help to overcome a plateau & for women it's beneficial during the days leading up to their period as the body needs more energy during this time
@@craftynatty7240 How does reintrocing carbs back in help with weight loss? It seems to me it would lead to weight gain from glycogen the body stores. If our ancestors ate this way, were the women just low energy when they had there period? Thanks for your input 👍

I love Theo lol. He’s so smart. Megha sending healing vibes your way. And yeah you guys have evolved. I remember when you didnt care about any ingredients… organic stuff, grassfed and now you do 👏🏼👏🏼 makes a difference especially with meat.
Kids test boundaries. They're learning right and wrong and rely on their grown-ups to help navigate it. Around 4.5-5.5 it gets so much easier and you finally start seeing the results of all that work and how worth it it is.
It's so universal--when there's added stress in parents lives (new baby, mama's illness) their need for more attention/love and loving limits goes up dramatically. I feel for you guys. The only option really is to give as much as you can to him now, and not expect him to just be fine when you two aren't. I'd be even more concerned about a kid who didn't show more neediness in this situation-as that would mean they're suppressing their needs entirely, which shows much psychological damage. Trust me, I know of what I speak. This will get easier! Hang in there and know that all the effort is more than worth it in the end. And Matt--YOU ARE A GREAT DAD!

I watch the exhaustion in this video and do not miss my 3 being little. I didnt have any as wild and crazy as Theo, but 3 at a time...uuuggg. Theo rules…
I use to get sick a LOT and then I was diagnosed with very low Vitamin D. I started dosing around 15000-20000 IU D3 (coupled with Mg Citrate) and now I'm almost never sick.

I had two boys, three years apart. And yes, they were a handful - but I loved it. When they drove me to the brink of losing it , I would go out to the garage and hammer nails into a block of wood - worked and I came back laughing. Once when I was bathing them they starting throwing all of the bath water at me - and flooded the bathroom - I’m sure the whole neighborhood heard me shrieking while the boys kept on laughing and tossing the water.

Egg bites are pretty easy to make yourself. You could make a bunch and freeze them. Then microwave one when you want one. Probably be about ten times cheaper than starbucks and taste the same.

Back in the day [80s] we used to head to the midnight showing of Monte Python loaded with squirt bottles, plastic rain gear, and etc. Everyone in the theater knew all the words and we all yelled the dialogue and danced in the isles to the songs with dance steps and actions that everyone had learned. Tons of fun. Every Friday at Midnight. First time I went, I slept thru all the noise.

How did our ancestors know what to do when there electrolytes were getting low? Maybe they just had a naturally high sodium/ salt diet and what were there sources of the sodium? Just curious 🤔
Water straight from the spring and they would also drink mud puddles and get electrolytes from the soil. With all the gunk in our water now it needs filtered and we have to supplement electrolytes. Plus our soil has been stripped of nutrients so the animals we eat don’t take in as much from the grass.
