Thanks to you video list i was able to confidently build a small storage room. Now this one will also come in handy for a small adition i need. Thanks for all the details and expalnations.
Thanks for all the videos. Im looking to build a seating patio for chairs and a fire pit. Probably four 7x7 squares. This didnt look near 4” deep which is what I was going to pour. What thickness would you recommend? Thanks in advance.
I have a smaller patio like this with a "broken" corner area. I don't know if I can resurface the patio like in your one video but I also want to extend it a bit as well.
how difficult is it to match the color, texture and look of existing concrete? almost every house i see has mismatch concrete from different projects throughout the years.
@@OdellCompleteConcrete Very good pricing and video. Your helper is learning the same way I did and it only happens once. Mine was bleeding strawberries on my hands from grouting gloveless. OUCH that hurts.
Peacock? Looked like a Roadrunner in the beginning. I was reading up on some of those RV and motor home parks, a Indian land one’s a little while ago. Seems those leases are scheduled to expire in a couple of years. Unless you’re Indian you’ll have to move out and word is the Indians don’t plan on renewing them. Lots of people getting out of them while they can still sell them to unsuspecting or lack of researching people. At least this guy has wheels he can tow his place away when time comes. Lots of people are hoping the Indians resign and holding out til the last minute. But again, everything I’ve read said it’s not going to happen.
Almost spit out my coffee laughing at Eric's "fly ash" comment!!
Why put it into the air when you can encase in concrete
He's adding his own fly ash 😂
I had a good laugh at that as well😂😂😂
This way I have more control of the quantity and quality of the ash
Unfortunately he had to smoke 3 packs that day.
Been awhile since I've watched David. Thanks for the information about the bag mix. That'll help out a lot with the summer projects I'll be doing. 👍

Great job Mr Odell and the Chef! Glad you got the 60lb bags and not the 90s. I cant do 90s anymore 😂
That's true
@@markoliver-ww9ld they sell 90s here in California
@@markoliver-ww9ld I know it's ridiculous, I stick to 60lb bags nowadays. Last time I got 90lb could barely lift out of truck 🤣🤦♂️
Nicely done - thanks for helping out a veteran!

Would luv to hear your thoughts on the latest (youtube algorithm wise), pouring and smoothing concrete pads dry...
Right this is the latest craze on RUclips.
Great suggestion!
"I'm having Eric the Chef lift the concrete bags and mix. That's the key man..." 🤣
I concur
Great stuff David! Did you relocate out of California?
I work multiple States

Hi David,
How does the bag concrete and labour to mix it weigh up against the ready mix price wise?
At least half price
Do you ever use gravel base under the concrete? What about for clay soil? I've seen dozens of your videos and don't think I've ever seen that.
Sand is best on clay
Lol...this old guy learned something new today....duplex head nails can be bought in a 6d size. Thanks for the info.
You bet
Hi Odell what tipe of cement you use for a small slab the slab is 10 by 5
Bag mixes
Hi Odell quick question did you use a 60 lbs or 80 lbs bags concrete and also did you use the 50 lbs quick concrete bag right
60 and 50
@@OdellCompleteConcrete thank you so much
Good video got some good laughs. 👍 Proverbs 3:5-6
That's an easy way to live
Yes Sir. You have a good commentary dialog mixed with good 1 liners.
Are you doing more work in Arizona now then in California? Just curious.
50 50-
I think the bird footprints would be a nice accent to the pad. At least the donkeys didn't walk across it.
How about both
Nice 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
👍👍
AZ digs with a shovel are no fun - it's already cement. That was some loose dirt there. Project came out nice
Most areas are rocky around here
How many revolutions with a hand mixer Is usually good for a good mix Mr Odell ?
70
@@markoliver-ww9ld well it’s takes about a few mins for it to turn at least 10 tens I checked so I guest about 15 to -20 mins for 70 revos
What instructions do you give the homeowner if any on the curing process?
Water every hour for 3 days

You're lucky Wiley the Coyote wasn't after those Roadrunners, would have been a real mess 😂

Both 50 pound bags?
I think 60
Nice job. is your son still making videos?👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Road runner
They're all in the bird family. 🍺🤣
5th 🎉
Right on. Almost in the money
aw you stole my ash line🤣😂
Why through ash in to the air when you can add it to concrete
the constant movement of the head mounted go pro gives me motion sickness. I can't watch the rest.
Try dramamine
4:18 don’t keep your leg around! 🙄
No worries

is he afraid of getting dirty while mixing? lol
not really
