Wow! After months of watching countless tutorials from many other artists, I have finally found someone who can help me learn to paint. Your tips on mixing colors and having someone follow your hand with the camera---outstanding. With your help, I feel like my goal of learning to paint during my retirement is obtainable. Thank you!
Lisa, Charles is a brilliant RUclips tutor, and he's free. My own painting has come on leaps and bounds due to Charles's videos. And I have to say, his videos are not without some comedy along the way. 😂
My grandparents lived in this cottage for over 40 years and it holds alot of treasured memories for our whole family it's so amazing to see you bring it to life like this! Can't wait to show my grandma your work
My old school art teacher said that I had the artistic talent of a fruit fly. So I didn't try to paint for another 50 years. Thanks to your generosity in sharing your videos on RUclips I have very quickly produced some creditable paintings. I do take a bit longer than you, I haven't mastered the trees yet and I have no idea how you can tell your colours apart on your pallet but your videos are the best pain relief ever. Thank you xx
I had an art teacher like that in high school. I think that some of those teachers like that are actually jealous when they see a kid with talent and perserverance. I always think that those people went into teaching because they lacked skill and committment. Talent is just a kick start, anyone can learn a skill or craft with committment and tenacity.

Hi Charles. Peter from Noosa Australia. Again thanks for the lesson, loved the different aspects to the painting, makes it fun. Now to all our British friends, out of lockdown very soon. No more dry through. Enjoy your freedom but as always please stay safe. Enough for now. Romberg always be bad its more fun than being good. Thanks again . Peter.
Thank you so much for your tutorials! It’s so hard to find step by step that includes the drawing part. I followed this one today and was so amazed at how it turned out! So thank you again! I look forward to trying some more of your work!
Charles lad, no matter the weather... country scenery is alive and well all around you in England. That little Yorkshire pic you took in your mums village was delicious to the core of ‘’that’d be nice to paint.’’ One of millions I’m sure. What a joy of landscapes and seascapes for the budding artist. Hint.... a Coffee table book of watercolours on all those little fishing villages of England, under your moniker. A lot of work perhaps but eventually in every library or museum as a complete works. Enjoy the summer joys Charles and great paintings to come. 👍👍👍❤️👍👍👍
Lol, listening to you two is like being at home. Thanks for the easy to understand instructions and the extra explanations,Very much appreciated. Love your work!
This a my idea of tranquil living. And beautifully presented in water colour. Every painting I see, no matter the artist, always has room left for the fertile mind to imagine and feel emotions cast at them from the artist. (That's where the like, or don't like comes form. The way we feel about what ever. Movie, painting, music. Anything). But with this image, I feel relaxed, and generally at peace with the world. A wonderful painting, painted by one with many years of experience. It's beautiful Charles.
