    Great video. What condition where the huts in when you went - we had friends who said they were leaking rain and in bad condition

      Thank you, the hut is normal hut but all round well maintained by amatola hiking trails. I would probably go soon again. Enjoy your trip.

    The Amatola is not South Africa's most challenging trail. The Grand Traverse is far more demanding.

      Sounds like you're on the list for FKT for DGT. I agree with you. Maybe they or I should rather phrase it as "One of the toughest traditional 5-day hutted hiking trails" but that sounds slightly less cool. Anyway, both trails are tough and spectacular and it's a blessing for anyone to be in the mountains.
