  • Joule heating can be done in most Ansys simulation tools. In this video I show how we model Joule heating in Ansys Mechanical, Ansys CFD and Ansys ICEPAK. The model is very simple but the results are interesting. There's always a trade off between speed, accuracy and ease of use.

    I followed your guide and created the mesh by spaceclaim. But my mesh quality is bad. Do you have any solution for that? Thank you

      There are a lot of meshing options in Ansys. Typically making the mesh smaller gives you better quality.

      @@OzenEngineeringSimulationalso try different mesh methods and do a little bit of sensitivity analysis based on the skewness or mesh quality.

    How can it be done in Ansys Fluent?

      I believe Fluent does not contain electromagnetic solver. So it is not possible. CFX is very similar to fluent.
