    thanks you. This is the best video I ever watch. I hope you can have more video in radiation heat transfer also. But I have 2 questions and need your opinion :1) Why we did not do new part under 2 part,2 bodies so that, the contact region under connection is not appeared. 2) Why we need used cut cell mesh because of both have same geometry form as box? If I have fluid is box and solid is cylinder, did I need do the same mesh cut cell? Thanks in advanced.

    Hello Sir,
    Thank you for such an informative video. But sometimes even I name the domains correctly. I'll end up having additional walls and those walls make it difficult to use parameters to automate the simulation. Is there any way we can resolve that issue. Please help me with this.

    will we get the same results if we use one fluid body? just subtract another from one and apply HEAT FLUX to inner faces?

    • @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials
      @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials  4 года назад +2

      That is correct for the fluid side. CHT is mostly used to identify temperature distribution in the solid side. For example you are cooling a chip using a fan and you need to identify the temperature distribution on the chip to analysis the stress and other things. If you do not need the solid side in your problem, you do not need to use CHT.

    Hello sir. Thanks for this great video. Do you have an idea how to conduct a conjugate heat and mass transfer simulation? I mean suppose your solid body here is wet.

    • @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials
      @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials  3 года назад

      You need to define a thin layer of water on the solid body and consider evaporation and mass transfer. I could be a very complex and computationally intense problem.

    How to assign temperature to the aluminum block and also how to see the outlet temperature??

    • @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials
      @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials  4 года назад +1

      Hi, thank you for watching and thank you for your comments. Do you want to see the contours or just temperature? You can use report definition to capture average temperature at outlet.
      Defining temperature for the block is in the wall boundary conditions when you enable energy equation you should see the temperature in the boundary condition definition.

  • @devanshihanda4617

    While plotting the temperature contour of the fluid domain, by specifying the user specified range, did it not change the result completely? Since the max temperature is around 3266K?

    • @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials
      @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials  4 года назад

      Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment.
      That is right. Two points here:
      1- The simulation is only for learning purposes, and that high temperature might never happen in any engineering problem.
      2- Changing the user defined temperatures, will not change the results, will change the color map and the range of coloring from blue to red based on the defined min and max temperature.
      Please let me know if that is not a good enough answer and I can explain more.

    if its ok can i know the optimal model and conditions that is required to get accurate results in the analysis of a heat sink using conjugate heat transfer?

    • @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials
      @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials  3 года назад +2

      Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment. In CFD there no optimal solution, it depends on your available computational power and resources, you can then optimize your mesh size, time step and solution method based on the time and accuracy you need for a specific project.

    hello sir, i am trying to simulate heat transfer in plate fin heat sink in ansys fluent. I am able to see convective heat transfer from solid to fluid but there is no variation of temperature on fin walls. the entire body is of showing at same temperature. how can we see temperature variation at fin walls. plese help

    • @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials
      @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials  3 года назад

      Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment. First, try a very low thermal conductivity for the fin to make sure that you see the temperature difference so you can see your setup is correct. Then, in the contour setup, chose only fin as the body not fluid. You can also set the range manually in the contour setting to see the temperature gradient in the fin. Please let me know if this was helpful.

    • @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials
      @AdvancedEngineeringTutorials  4 года назад

      @@asmaa540 As I understood, the second cube is the building, this can be because of the mesh quality and size. If you have large cells that are not symmetric that can be an issue. If you know that you have symmetric geometry and flow, why don,t you just simulate half of the system and reduce the mesh size to get better results.
