That's normal in Asian/traditional cultures, women have to be meek and obedient in front of society, and release all their pent-up emotion in front of their family

That's creepy and scary how that stranger was just randomly holding their baby and took pictures... Was no one concerned about that?... + Being a "fan" doesn't give you the right to barge into the person's private event. He wasn't even on the guest list, how did he even get in so easily?

@@ForeverSweetx3 yes you're right. I just wonder what's the point of having a guest list if they'll just let anybody in. Idk I just assumed that normally when having a guest list someone is then responsible to make sure that those coming it are on the list (kind of like weddings or other major events).

I had no idea why this is creepy and scary, I know what's the point you want to tell but I think this is the cultural difference. First of all this is a monastery where anyone can enter freely. The security things: because we are Buddhists, Wherever there is Budddha , especially in a monastery even bad people dare not do bad things. Of course there is some case but it's so so rare. For us, which is like the public place where anyone can take refuge awhile or rest our mind peacefully, in our mind, it's the safe place. And then, when we have a wedding or any other event which held in a monastery, anyone who is invited or not allowed to enter to help and eat. We think of it as a kind of charitable donation. In the big cities, we only attend the event (especially in hotel or home held event) if only we are invited but if you are uninvited, we will not expel you out of compassion and charitable mind. In the rural areas, everyone contribute to the event and also the whole villagers can go to eat.

Bowing is showing respect to parents & elders in Buddhist Myanmar society. It's more of a respect than a religeous gesture. Every culture has it's own way of showing respect & gratitude to their parents & elders for their teachings & guidance.
