very interesting find......the lone Chrysler Imperial (1975ish) parked 30 or 40 years ago and still sits there waiting......undisturbed ...abandoned and forgotten like the owner.....there in the disappearing town......hope you do follow ups in the future.....this was a good one
I really enjoyed this one. Do you think the funeral home used the old post office for storage after it closed? I bet your heart skipped a beat when you saw them sitting there. Your music choice once again spot on!!
I really don't know and couldn't find much on the town. Yes, I was shocked when I walked up on all those coffins. Glad you liked it and thanks for watching.
Wow! Amazing, to say the least! I love exploring! I often go online and read about old houses. When I'm driving, I'll write the addresses to check later. Your research is, no doubt, far more extensive. Thank you! 😊
After the Iraqi invasion to Kuwait, more than 30 years ago.. we visited Failaka island whose people were forced to move out of their properties for great sums of money. Those who seeked refuge in the neighboring countries couldn’t return to what once was called home. The island was to be turned to a tourist attraction. 30 years past and projects are still on papers. Parking nearby a clear site .. my family members scattered when I stood there right beside the car and observed the layout before my sight. It was late afternoon.. the quiet of the streets reflected the heavy loads of sadness they bore on their shoulders.. empty houses.. swallowed by darkness the golden rays failed to shine through the dark eyes and long mouths each heavily bruised house had. It was not a deserted island yet it sounded so silent.. serene and peaceful but so sad I held a lump in my throat. This block was once lit.. alive.. with noises.. of kids playing in yards, footsteps of passersby, birds crossing the sky, roosters filling isles of heavens with calls declaring time of evening when cars whooshed every once in a while returning back home to rest. That tailor’s shop machine would temporarily echo in corners at this time of day.. as locals would fill their lungs with freshly baked bread whiffs the gentle breezes whirled around from that bakery at the corner, and that mosque would repeat call of prayer time and time again for years it became part of yesterday’s children sweet past. I never lived there yet felt sadness slowly sinking in. It was home to those who left.. they knew each and every foot of it. Nothing was left now but echoes and bending desperate branches .. waiting for raindrops to give them hope for their purpose of existence. It was years since ago.. but the sentiments overtaken me in that moment .. shall stay with me for a lifetime.
Jeez.. that was creepy..ole house n coffins.. bathroom wall was nice with that cabin wood look.. pretty place off to itself and quiet..if old homesteads could talk.. another great video.. thanks for sharin..
Oh my! Was that actually a practice? Shipping human remains by mail? That was a bit of a shock, especially the one that was zipped up and still waiting to go. Thank You for this respectfully documented content.
Thank you for your comments and for watching. Human remains that have been cremated do ship through the mail service and bodies travel by vans and air planes. We will never what the story was with this old place.

Always appreciate it when something with a date on it is shown (1965). Really provides some context.
