Please never remove this. This version is soooooo hard to find to listen to ANYWHERE! I've loved it since I taped it onto cassette from Triple J in the 90's. I think with Michael Tunn (The Tunnster) on the RequestFest talking over the first part of it. Thank you @loporinis
Lovely groove! "I don't think Ed Kuepper's Frontierland was lauded and respected as the major work of a great songwriter, player, and studio cat that it was." -Dave Graney
Dave's on the money here. This is one great album, led from the front by this beautifully filtered, redolent of a stoned early-70s vibe, track. Full of regret and sadness, it's a great lost Australian classic, right up there with "Wide Open Road', "Under the Milky Way', etc. Ed is really rather fantastic, no arguement.
I laughed when I realised what an arseholed caravan that was, and tiered toward crying when an underlying undenying meaning flared upon my vision upon watching this on my television; when the bubble of intellection burst in the face of reality it be no bubble gum pop that gives one cause to pause and reflect that in wars of attrition it pays to give great attention to the intellect if a greater force one would deflect .
i bought this cd by mail order back in the day. this track was a fave. it has aged so well.
Such a great song - so underrated!
A favorite on KSPI, Stillwater, Okla in summer 1997; so unique; thanks for posting!
