Inspite of meeting as 'strangers' to be married Henry V11 truly loved his wife, Elizabeth of York - she was perhaps the only person he could come to Trust in a Diabolically Treasonous Era!!! That he was accused of being parsimonious even Greedy was in large part due to his impecunious circumstance when living in France and the fact that he had to restore the Fortunes of England. A trait born of deep financial insecurity?
