She was also a child and the victim of sexual abuse. The man she was accused of cheating with was also a known predator at court that was already pardoned for raping one noble woman. Anne Boleyn flirted with 1 guy because Henry was sleeping around. That's what these two "silly" women lost their heads over.

I think Henry was deflecting when he called Anne ugly. He was pretty much an obese fatass (excuse my language) by the time he met her and probably reflected his insecurities on her. I think she was attractive and she certainly was too good for him.
Anne was my favorite queen. She was a true princess like his first wife.
Anne of Cleves was most fortunate, compared to Henry's other wives. She played her cards wisely and saved her own life.

Personally I think Henry found her unattractive, not because of her physical appearance but because she accidently bruised his ego.

You had mentioned that Anne was Catholic and remained so. I have always heard that she was Lutheran as was the Duchy of Cleves.
