I have a bunch of scrap yarn and I’ll be using it, but come closer to Christmas I’ll be making a Christmas blanket! Thank you so much for making a Chevron strip blanket sooooooo easy to work!!
Again, well done. I love your video tutorials because they are always clear and understandable. And you don’t waste time talking to much about yarn or the finished project. Very concise and professional!
I don’t understand. My sides aren’t flat, immune counts are right, I’m a knitter learning crochet so I double check my counts for each section before moving forward. But if we are constantly adding 2 stitches in the first and last stitch of every row, but no extra stitches being skipped I can’t see how the sides stay even. I’ve restarted this blanket 4 times trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong. Even added stitch markers to help identify the chain / stitch as my last stitch of the row. Any suggestions?
Your first and last stitches are half of your peaks and you can't do half a stitch so you do 2 stitches. It takes a while before you can get straight edges in crochet, it comes with practice! I struggled to learn chevrons but Jayda Institches has a great chevron tutorial, the blanket is red and white. Maybe you will have better understanding of it watching that video. It helped me.
hi jenice, you can get those needles on Amazon... that's where I got mine....Their called Pony Aluminum Wool Needles....I got mine 2 years, I luv em! Hope this helps you out 😀
Hi from Dallas......why do some crocheters use the back hump for first row ,?? I have never seen this done before watching tutorials. 🌸 Is there an advantage to doing this or just personal preference ? 💕
I'm curious about something. Why does the single rows have 1 chain along with the 2 singles, but the double rows only has 1 chain 3 and 1 double crochet?
thank you... for the reply!!! You are so busy... and here you are, replying to something I said. Hope you know how special you are to so many of us. BLESS YOU!

Thank you! Cannot wait to get started.
This calls for 191 chain stitches. It is suppose to be multiples of 27 plus 3. If you do 7x27 +3 this equals 192 not 191. Am I doing something wrong?
@@nancymadigan8510 follow what you think is right. I could be wrong.
UPDATE Multiples are 27 + 2.
Thank you mike you are a fantastic teacher I am learning so much cannot thank you enough xx

So when making this pattren when you do 199 the triangles are not going to meet up right.
Where did you get that needle? Also need the spreadsheet. Thank you for all the videos you do.
The spread sheet was added. the needle was at an independent fabric shop here locally. I haven't seen them online to buy.

What size of crochet hook are you using?
Where can we get a copy of your sheet that you made with all the colors and stitches? Please sir
It’s in the article link that can be found in the video’s description. It’s labeled “worksheet”
Where is the link to download the spreadsheet? Pattern link only gives the 2 pages of the actual actual pattern.
I just added it tot he article.

It gives a more finished look to the first row that matches the Last. Personal preference really.
I'm curious about something. Why does the single rows have 1 chain along with the 2 singles, but the double rows only has 1 chain 3 and 1 double crochet?
The 3 chains count as a double crochet. That's pretty standard for 3 chains at the beginning of a row to count as a double crochet.
OH! I wish you would have shown us doing the top of the peak with the fpdc, and bpdc.
It is just 3 dc in the middle stitch. Not the post.
@@TheCrochetCrowd I do understand that... I just wish we could have seen you actually do it. I am getting TOO OLD...hehe...
