I'm surprised by the FBI agent's question about why you waited. The general public knows nothing about how the criminal justice system works, let alone how the FBI works. Why would he think you'd know what he knows?
It's not like people are steeped in this knowledge from childhood. It's not taught in school unless you go for a criminology degree. It's not discussed in everyday conversation. It's like asking a preschool child why they don't know things a college graduate knows.

Snitches don't get stitches in white collar. Might not get a Christmas card though.

Your talk today should be a reminder why you need to be less harsh on SBF and Elizabeth Anne Holmes. They are smart and have had many things go their way so when confronted with failure in their companies they fudged which is wrong but very human. Yes, many of us are invested with strong morals and would have resisted but even though SBF and Elizabeth Anne Holmes fell prey to criminal behavior they still deserve our compassion. Instead let us look at these two as case studies on what not to do when faced with our business goals failing and more specifically what can we teach students in undergraduate and graduate programs in ethics courses to avoid the fate of SBF and Ms. Holmes?

I did not get it until people were direct and harsh with me. Both had similar upbringings to me, I know. If I had heard my message, I would have acted differently. How do I know? Thousands just like me tell me this honest and harsh messaging is what got them to act. And their life is better for it. And most of those people do not have the resources or support Bankman-Friend or Holmes took for granted.

How about avoiding incarceration and all the social and economic consequences by avoiding crime in the first place? Sociopaths are sociopaths. Read Yochelson and Samenov. It includes your shtick.
