Congrats mate on the 78 in the park pond, wowzers!! Watching that, I need to get my 42 back out!! I’ve maxed it at 90 mph, with XLX2 and stock motor and I have the 1520kv ready to go in..will pull the trigger and fit it in now, seeing your recap on how easy it goes in. Need to get it to the next speed plateau!! 👍🏻
@marxboatworx your in for a treat with that 1520! STONG setup 👌 and your gonna extend that driveline, yep I see yet another 100+ run from the land down under! BG4L
“Ok guys just one more lap” (maybe 3 more) “Alright that’s it for today” (here we are back at the bench) “All the details in the description” (I’m using X motor, X pack…) Just screwing with ya Big B! 😆😆😆👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Such a kind and generous guy. Always giving and sharing. That’s why we’re here man. To share this great hobby with ya. Awesome stuff man. Thank you for all of them. ‘
Man that boat runs so freakin good, all the time you have in it just shows. Awesome run. Data log is very cool, it amazing how good the XLX2, it's the best ESC hands down, thats all I run in my large/power hungry boats.👍👍
Just started repainting my blackjack 42 and doing some upgrades last weekend. I'm so jealous you get to run year around. Our ponds/lakes are frozen solid right now 😭. I'm about to order some smc packs come spring. Which ones do you recommend for this big beast? Also if you could recommend a prop that won't cook my stock electronics that would be greatly appreciated.
The SRD 8600mah 250c have been the best lipos for this boat hands down! (On sale right now at SMC racing) You will need to get longer battery straps when running the 8600's Hcl-hp 8200mah 150c are also great packs, and they fit w/o any changes
That runs just great in the park pond!! 😊. I love it B just wondering. If you run a high C rating on any battery can it damage the ESC if the ESC states only a 50c rate?
I have heard of high c packs smoking very cheap ESC's (mostlythe cheap china rc cars). But i personally have not had any issues running high c packs in any of my rigs.
It's the ESC that determines how much current it will draw from the battery - not the other way around. So no. Also those C ratings are big lies. You will have a very hard time finding any battery that will deliver more than 40c sustained. Even the best of the best.
I got some RCBB trim tabs and a couple bigger props, also started running higher mah heavier packs. The extra weight helps hold the boat down at speed.
hey ...you`re lucky out here in the cold white north it`s all frozen . i think your cg are all too far forward , this makes you up trim the drive and effectively cuts your prop pitch down . the value of cg should be 28 to 30 for all planing hulls v bottoms and air entrapment . try it your trim will go down close to zero and your speed will go up . this is standard for rc and full scale boats as well , have fun tuning and testing .
Yep, I can see why this boat is your ' bestie boat ' bags of fun 🤩
Nice to see when you have fun 😎😊👋🏻
Amazing setup, tremendous power, blew my mind💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Big B , Awesome runs . Great paint job on the tunnel jet . Would love to see the paint on the swifter XL .

Good to see you still running the old faithful 42 after the Arian setback. Youre awesome B!
Thanks for watching! Yeah she's a beast one of my all time favorite rtr hulls!
Busy, busy, busy guy so impressed

Couldn't agree more! Xlx2 Handles almost anything you throw at it!
Thats nuts when you think off it... "Tiny prop" and getting so easy the speeds in such a tiny pond... Its a nice basher this way for the pond
I was not expecting high 70'z out of that m545! You're right, that's 🤪 crazy
@IRONCLADRC it means you got it setup on point...! Its literally same if calculate it. No loss, so very good B
Wow. Really missed the BJ42. Hope you give it more attention😊
Old faithful 😅👍🤙
Awesome video big B the blackjack 42 draws some serious amps
It is pretty hungry for power, that first prop needs some serious work, on the bench! That's was to much current pull for my liking
I guess I didn't realize how much extra punch you get from those 250c packs. Ill have to add a pair to my stash.
You look cold, early morning running? Florida is cold too and windy lately. Looks like fun.
Yeah, it was a little chilly out there! But worth it 😆

After that year stuck at 70, what did you do to make it go faster?

Can you say Water Rocket !!!
