Hey Michael ! Been waiting for this one ! I live across the street from the cemetery that the lady in black is buried in . Thanks again Grimm Life Collective !
very interesting, I've heard this about rudolph valentino and the lady in black. but when I saw the san jancinto sign it blew my mind, I actually used to live in the hemet/san jacinto area years ago. awesome job as always.
As a former "paranormal investigator" (Hobby based & years back) and as someone who has been to a lot of cemeteries and other places related I really love your channel its really unique and I like that you touch upon the paranormal a bit as well as go into the history portion of things.
Very cool. I didn't realize Valentino passed away so young. I love this gorgeous cemetery! What a great story of friendship 🥀🌹 Thanks guys as always! Happy Halloween 🎃🖤🧡🖤🧡
You did a wonderful job on the story of Valentino but it was Valentino's manager George Ullman that wouldn't let the Pola flower display cover Rudy's casket, he even said it would look like a premier for Pola. Two years ago on our trip to West Hollywood we stopped by to visit Rudy's grave, yes I am a big fan of the guy.
Very Romantic ...need that to return! ..I watch old films ...even if it was on film they captured feeling and atmos ...Touching story...you captured the feel!! cool
Fascinating History! I knew of the story of the Lady in Black but it was always shrouded in mystery. I loved this and thank you for it. Thank you for remembering and respecting the Lady as well
As a lifelong fan of Rudolph Valentino's work, I think his funeral arrangements say a lot about the people who surrounded him, his close ones. Despite Pola Negri (his last lover) making some pretty embarrassing scenes at the funeral (if you don't know the story... Either Google it or just... Browse RUclips) and claiming she is gonna build him this fancy mausoleum... His body remained in the vault that one of his closest friends was kind enough to "lend" to him for a time. But I think that's what makes his final resting place so special. It was a final gesture of kindness of a friend... For a beloved friend. As for the lady in black, I know she was originally a publicity stunt, but the fact that other women kept this tradition alive TO THIS VERY DAY shows that his legacy isn't forgotten. The sheik is my comfort silent film, if not my only comfort film. I would call it a guilty pleasure, except I do NOT feel guilty about it. It's that movie that... On days when I feel like I don't want to keep going... Keeps me going. Yeah, just.. setting it as a goal for those bad days. Like yeah, I will go to work, and yeah I am very depressed, but... At the end of that day, I get to sit down and relax for a few hours, watching a (problematic) movie I enjoy. No overthinking, no worries, for a few hours. He may be dearly departed, but certainly not forgotten.
Hollywood heartthrob of the silent movie's when this man died his funeral was mourned by millions around the world...thanks mikey for sharing...Happy Halloween 🎃.
You're so lucky to live "just down the street" from Hollywood Forever Cemetery. I've been there a few times, and I still haven't seen it all. Last time I went was on a very rainy afternoon just before New Year's Day. It was so fitting and I've never been there on a rainy day. Since I'd been there the last time, Halyna Hutchins, Burt Reynolds and Judy Garland have become eternal residents. It's such a peaceful place in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Hollywood.
Oh no way I’m only 30 minutes away from the cemetery. Wish I would of known how close you guys were gunna be so I could stop by and say hi. Thank you for the video very interesting and historical. Rip to both Ditra and Rudy 🙏🏻🕊
Great video once again! To think many of his fans upon hearing of his death committed suicide. A riot even occurred by some of his fans who were unable to attend his funeral and pay their respects. Happy Halloween!
Great video! Rudy’s great love was his ex wife Natacha Rambova. Some claim that they were on their way to reconciliation before he died. She spent years with a medium and collected many spirit communications from Rudy (purportedly). Looking forward to seeing you guys at Spooky Empire!!!
Another fantastic clip!👍👍 I love those old Hollywood tales and mysteries. And I can recommend the book Hollywood Babylon by Kenneth Anger. All the scandals and mysterious deaths of Charlie Chaplin, Lupe Vélez, Mary Nolan, Rudolph Valentino, Marie Prevost, Mary Astor, Wallace Reid, Olive Thomas, Jeanne Eagels, Thelma Todd, Errol Flynn, Frances Farmer, Juanita Hansen, Mae Murray, Alma Rubens, John Gilbert, Barbara La Marr, Ramón Novarro, Jean Harlow, Carole Landis, Lana Turner, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Virginia Rappe, William Desmond Taylor, Jayne Mansfield, Sharon Tate....etc..........are discussed there...... Greetings and Thank you again!😀😀
The man left us wanting more for decades to come . He was mystique . There is no other actor in my opinion even today , that draws you in the way Rudy did . His looks and mannerisms. He was a legend that came and went fast . I’m very supervised we don’t have any radio interviews of his actual voice on it . Thankfully, We only have two songs he performed that they had saved for us . Gloria Swanson described Rudy’s voice in one of her rare interviews on RUclips you can find . But that is pretty much it . Ramon Novarro was a beautiful man and so is Alain Delon . But they’re no Valentino . Think how hard that was to act with your eyes back in silent era times .Well , Ramon knew…. I’m 50 years old , but I always felt I was born in the wrong time . Just because I wanted to feel that time period when Rudy was around . It’s long due for a movie . I know there is one coming out sometime this year or next . I’m just highly surprised it took this long . Thank you for the video . I’m active on many Valentino Facebook groups and I think I own every book or documentary on this man . Btw , Ramon joked in a interview once that he was actually the Lady In Black .
I'm SO enamored of this Hollywood Cemetery, and all of the ancient glory, and mystery it holds (I need to visit it some day).... Such a glorious place, both in the look & content of the beautiful people's remains it now holds... LOVE it GriMMs... Thanks, again, for bringing us along..... Happy Halloween... :^)"""""""""
Loved this one!! You always have the best topics and I love how you put us there with you! Thank you! 😊 I knew Valentino died young but not at 31! Fascinating behind the scenes information, as always. Exactly why I love your channel 😍
When I was a kid I read in a book about Valentino's house which is said to be hunted by his spirit. Nobody wanted to live there longer than a few months because it was too scary at night. Maybe you could make a video about that house...
Unfortunately they knocked Falcon’s Lair down. It was lasted owned by Doris Duke. She died there & I think it went to her butler. He eventually died & that was the end.
Yes! I call it the Whitley Heights house. The only thing left is foundation and some street lights from long ago. The said parts of Falcon Lair are still around, like the concrete wall with the words in it. Still wanna go check it out. But his first house was haunted and all he would do was stand there and smile. I’m gone, I don’t care what he does! I love him to pieced, loool!
Wow! This was absolutely intriguing! I've know of Rudolph Valentino (the great Latin Lover) since he died in my hometown, but thanx to you, finally got the gist of what happened to him and the infamous story of the Lady in Black. She became iconic for loyally putting that one rose at his graveside so it was great of you to tell us about her as well. You did an awesome job with this story, as always! Thanx you, GrimmLife! (the Pola Negri addition was an equally awesome bonus!) Stay well. Happy Halloween!
Just a note The Lady in Black also lived in a small town called GREEN ACERS CA . That town was a small town and everyone knew her the Lady in Black and was well loved by her neighbors and family.
Amazing video, plus I love your voice and the way you speak. Your body language, especially the way you use your hands is something else ♥️♥️♥️ This is how you tell a story: be professional, respectful and knowledgeable, calm yet so exiting 💕🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for "The Lady in Black's" backstory. Years ago I did research trying to find if there was a real story or was it a yearly publicity stunt? I was unsuccessful at the time. Good to know it wasn't someone using another's death to get attention. It's a sweet story. Thank you for sharing. R.I.P. Mr. Valentino & to your lovely friend.
Back in the 80s they talked about the Lady in Black on a TV show and there was a time when she stopped coming (she died). Every now and then a different lady in black would show up. I think they even got footage of a lady in black(?)if I'm not mistaken.
Excellent job once again your camera work is awesome occasionally I like to mute the video and just watch it it really makes your camera work stand out it like being in a art gallery once again thank you from Australia 🇦🇺
When you said sepsis I let out a bit of a yell. I was hospitalized for almost two months with septic or sepsis shock not expected to make it… some days sorry guys I wish I didn’t it’s one of the worst recoveries. I had kept go into the emergency room here in my hometown the hospital we have and they would dismiss me I’d going in complaining of belly pain and they would give me a iv and antacid so I kept going in they made their minds up that I was going in for narcotics one lady Dr telling me I was a liar and my life was not worth her time. I lost hope I suffered got a very long time shrunk down to 80 lbs my daughter took me four hrs away they admitted me where they found I had gallstones that went into my bile duct tearing it and my body poisoning itself. I came home in a feeding tube for five months and I’m still recovering slowly. That’s how I found this channel I’m on the couch all I can do is watch tv but I love your channel .
Been to both resting places. San Jacinto is pronounced HAcinto. Marilyn Monroe's blood father, C. Stanley Gifford (1898-1965), is also buried in the same San Jacinto cemetery.
Did you notice the mountain on the Lady in Black's gravestone is similar to the stained glass window at Valentino's crypt? Beautiful tribute.
Love you guys so much, I’m recovering from a suicide attempt and your vids bring me comfort. Thank you ❤️
💕💕💕💕 we are all here for you sweetheart.
GrimmFam ❤️💕🧡 Sending Love and Light xx
Sending love and prayers for you Brittany.
Thinking of you ! I’ve been there!
God's got you, sweetie! Stay strong and love yourself first and the rest will follow. Remember, you are never alone. Reach out.
I'm digging these old movie or documented segments with the Type O Negative music. Love the video and always love the history of back home. 🥂❣
Peter Steele also died from sepsis
I don’t know why, but I’ve always been enthralled by the late Rudolph Valentino. Thank You for taking us along on this journey.
I've always been somewhat fascinated by Rudolph Valentino. There's so much story surrounding his life & death, thanks for unpacking this with us.
Such a great Hollywood tale that stands the test of time. Well done Michael!
I ABSOLUTELY love you put Type O Negative in this. Peter Steeles gravesite would be cool
Yessss!!!! TYPE O NEGATIVE!

It blows my mind that Valentino has a slot in the mausoleum and Fay Wray has a plaque, but Anton Yelchin has a whole statue of himself.
♥️♥️l♥️ve you Grimm!♥️♥️♥️🌹🌹
Very cool. I didn't realize Valentino passed away so young. I love this gorgeous cemetery! What a great story of friendship 🥀🌹 Thanks guys as always! Happy Halloween 🎃🖤🧡🖤🧡
After one year finally i subscribe Grimm life collective💀 love from India ❤
How cool is it to see a film from 1926 being played while listening to Type O Negative... Leave it to the Grimms to show that type of originality.
What an amazing and beautiful legacy she created stemming from such an incredible place in her life. Just adore you guys!
Love Love Loved this! So very well done Michael! Your filming is just beautiful. 🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡❤️

I always visit Rudolph Valentino's grave. Always a red rose or red rose bouquet 💐. I once knew his great niece back in 1974-75.
The gal I knew her last name was Gugliemi, which is the matriarch side.
Mmmm "Wolf Moon"....good choice!
Love Valentino!!! Dreamboat!!!!
I seen the title of this in my subscription feed, and the first thing that came to mind was Type O Negative 🤘 loving the lady in black!
Great story about Valentino & the lady in black, thanks for another great vid Michael 🤘🏻
